Chapter 6: Null-root

After Raghav released a large amount of energy in a 10km radius, it had knocked out everyone in that range and everybody had gone unconscious. After releasing so much energy Raghav started to feel light-headed and he fell on the floor like the others. "You know it's so funny that in this day and age most of the important positions on Earth are given to people below the age of 25 and the middle-aged people that are in Midgard have minimum say in it." these words were spoken by a beautiful woman who had long shiny black hair, eyes like a peacock and lips like the petals of a rose while she was drinking a glass of wine, beside her there was a young man dressed in a black suit and he said "You're right mam." the young woman looked at that man and said "Oh how I hope that something interesting would happen right now! I am bored!! Hey, get me some more wine." the young man looked at the empty glass of the young woman and said 'Right away mam!' as soon as he said that he grabbed the woman's glass and was about to refill it but then he got a notification on his smart bracelet and what he saw shocked him.

He looked at the young woman and said "Mam I think your wish just came true!" the young woman looked at the young man and inquired "Why? Did something happen?" the young man looked at the young woman and said, "There has been an energy surge in District 25!" the young woman smiled at the young man and said "Now that's something interesting! Let's go!" the young woman got up from her seat and wore a black jacket that had glowing patterns on it and it had a metal badge on it that had a wolf carved into it. the young man followed her. When the young woman looked at the young man she asked "Aren't you going to wear your uniform?!" the young man said "I prefer wearing suits mam!" the young woman looked at him and said 'Fine! at least wear the badge!" the young woman tosses a metal badge towards the young man and the young man wears the badge and then both of them jump from a 20 story building.

The young woman looks at the young man and asks "Wanna see who can reach their faster?!" the young man looked at the young woman and smiled and said, "You know I never back down from a challenge mam!" the young woman smiles and says "It's on!". The moment those two people reached the ground they used their powers to reach District 25. As the young woman reached the ground she started to run at supersonic speed the young woman looked at her and thought "Tania mam is fast as always. I mean it's no surprise she is an Advanced Level Mutator, but I am no slouch either!" the young man encases himself in an orb made out of electricity and the then starts flying at a high speed with electricity flowing from that orb. Tania saw that the young man had caught up to her and she said "So you've finally learned that trick, huh?" the young man looked at Tania and said, "I had to eventually, I mean I don't have skin will not burn due to the high friction of such speeds." Tania smiled a bit at what the young man had said and replied, "Well! You will still lose Indra!" Indra smiled and both of them started moving at higher speeds.

After sometime when they were about to reach the sight they started to notice that their powers were starting to not respond in the way they wanted they wanted their powers to, as they were getting closer to the sight their speed decreased exponentially so they stopped using their powers and looked at each other. Tania asked Indra "What's going on?! It's as if we are unable to use our powers!! Is it because we are closer to that area?!" Indra looked at Tania and said "You're maybe right mam. If you are right then there might be an Orb Beast here, we should call the entire team here." Tania looked at Indra and said, "Let's at least check this place out, I mean we haven't felt the presence of an Orb Beast and there is no sign on the radar showing that there is an Orb Beast here." Indra looked unsure but then he agreed to look around with Tania and then he told her to be ready with her weapons just in case. Tania agreed with Indra and both had started to move cautiously inside the area. They had their weapons in their hands but they still didn't see any Orb Beast. They had reached the centre of the radius and we're shocked by what they had seen. They saw that there were more than 100 people unconscious on the ground and all the Smart Glasses were shattered into pieces along with the vehicles that looked as if an Orb Beast had attacked them.

Tania and Indra were in their guard. They looked around but neither did they see an Orb Beast but also nothing was detected on Indra's radar. As they moved deeper towards inside the centre they saw four people in a complex knocked out. They went towards those four people to check if they were even alive. Tania sees a person knocked out who had a mark of a punch on his chest and then she called Indra towards her and asked "This person! Do we know him he looks familiar!!" Indra took a look at the knocked out, person, he was shocked and said, "That is the Gravity Controller! he's a member of the 'Roaring Tigers'!" Tania looked at Indra and said, "You're right! He's a member of our rival team, but why is he knocked out?! I mean he's not a weak person!" Indra looked at Tania and said, "You're right. What happened here?!". Both of them get extremely confused and then they see Raghav knocked out and bleeding and they went towards him to check if he was alive, Indra started to check Raghav's pulse and said "He's alive!" Rania looked at Indra and asked "Do you know who he is?" Indra looked at Tania and said, "Let me check the files.". After looking through the files for some time Indra had found Raghav's files and said, "His name is Raghav Varma, he's 22 years old, Unmarried and..." Indra paused for a second and Tania looked at him and asked, "And what?" Indra came out of his shock and said "He's called the Null-root and his cousin sister is the Gun Goddess" Tania got shocked and asked "Wait, he's the rumoured Null-root?! The person who doesn't have any power and his sister is the Gun Goddess?!" Indra looked at Tania and nodded gesturing yes.
