Chapter 11: First Lesson

The days following Aeris’ date with Windor, and she still couldn’t stop smiling whenever she thought about it. At times she didn’t even realize she was doing it until Maggie asked what had her in such good spirits. Unable to tell the woman she was seeing someone, she always made up a flimsy excuse. Lying to the woman put a damper on the mood.

Just like Aeris hadn’t told Maggie about the promise to give Aubrey private reading lessons. Unfortunately, she had never taught anyone anything, and she had no idea where to even begin. She tried sneaking a few books out of Master Aaron’s study—yet another secret added to her growing list of deceptions—but none of them held any tips on teaching.
