Chapter 12: Returning Nemesis

Aeris rolled over onto her back and stretched her limbs towards the ceiling. Last night had been the best sleep she had had in five days. Despite nothing happening, she had been stressed.

Her second date with Windor had gone without incident. They walked around for a bit and ate lunch at the restaurant where she met Janine. The young woman had recovered completely from the previous incident and was delighted to see them again. They talked about random things and stayed there until sunset when Aeris finally went home.

When she came home, her troubles began. In the days following, she realized how happy she was and how much she enjoyed going out and yet it had to be kept a secret. It didn’t feel right. Secrets were being kept from Windor as well. He didn’t know she could read or that she had been giving lessons. Should she tell him? Would he want to learn?
