Life With It's Surprises

"Hello everyone, my name is Xiaoyi Lan and I'll be really happy if we can get along well..." What a lame way to introduce yourself XIAOYI!!! Sigh, it looks like no one is even listening to me. Can't believe I'm about to be an outcast again. This is the third school I'm transferring to in my secondary school years and I lasted only a year in each school.
"Well you can take your seat, class pls be good to her" the teacher said jolting me from my thoughts, " Seat next to the boy in the corner". Looking at the ground I made my way to my sit, I don't want anyone seeing the dejected look I had on my face, don't want their pity. "Excuse me please", I said just to lift up my head and see one of the most gorgeous pair of eyes staring at me." My name is Laoshu Shan. Nice meeting you ", he said as I sat beside him with a slight smile playing at his lips." Xiaoyi, Xiaoyi Lan", l replied looking everywhere except his face. "Guess you're the timid type, I'm from China too. I'll like to be friends with you, can I?", he asked. " Yeah sure", I replied, what else can I say? He's oddly friendly ... wait He's from China too? But he didn't look like a Chinese at all.
LATER IN THE DAY...

The problem of studying in America as a Chinese is that; just know it won't be a smooth sail.... Things are more difficult than you can imagine, from lifestyle to everything. And my problem is I'm a half cast; I had a Chinese dad and an American mom. Born in a family of two, I'm the youngest child but luckily for my elder sister she looks a lot like mom so she don't have problem mingling with others unlike me who looks a lot like dad. Thankfully I am not ugly if not I'd have been living in hell, maybe I'll even be sent to stay with grandma in China by now. But luckily for me my parents loves us both; there's no favoritism at all.
I can't help thinking about Laoshu as I lay on my bed. Because of him I had a good time at school today instead of the dread that I was looking forward to. He even volunteered to be my guide and show me around school today. I'm surprised at how friendly he was. Today, the first time since coming to America, I became friends with someone on my first day at school. Life's truly filled with surprises. Looking forward to having a great time in this school. Hope tomorrow will be the same as today.
Actually my classmates ain't that bad, it's just that they don't care about anyone or anything.

A/N
Please guys this is my very first time sharing my story with someone else apart from my family and friends. So pls bear with at the start of this journey, I'm ready to learn more from you guys; you're free to share your ideas with me ...
