Lunch

Michael was amazed by Elena's idea but just kept on looking at her with some much admiration. After the meeting, Elena called jade with her phone since it was fully charged, jade was really screaming excitedly, Elena asked Jade to bring a gown and come pick her up when she is coming from her workplace.

Michael knew that Elena was going to leave, he was sober,he loved her presence , her liveliness but still he couldn't stop her from going. Sitted on the sofa together both wanting to grab the remote control at the same time, their hands met and they looked up and stared at each other, Michael had no choice but to leave the remote for her,

"Fine you win," said Michael,Elena chuckled and smiled,she tuned it to teen wolf a series, at that point in time the main boy and girl were kissing, Michael and Elena felt so awkward at the same time and both glanced at each other and quickly look away. They continued the movie in silence.

Ella was so infuriated when she heard that during today's meeting Elena was at Michael's house with his shirt on, she always had a crush on him ever since she got to the company but she never seems to get his attention, so how could Elena that newbie suddenly get his attention, she thought.

Benny was expecting Elena in the morning but he didn't see her, he was worried maybe Michael sacked her, in the afternoon, he went to the company, he was told that both Michael and Elena didn't come to work today, he was deeply worried, why would his best friend miss work, he thought, he returned to the restaurant.

Finally, it was time for lunch, Elena was very famished even though she ate a lot in the morning, she decide to help Mrs maria to prepare lunch, she went to meet Mrs maria,

 "can pls do me the honour of cooking lunch today," said Elena,  

"Hmmm, OK no problem" Mrs Maria replied.

Elena thought of what cook, she finally decided to make jollof rice with chicken and potato purée, she was already on apron, she searched for the spices, brought out a saucepan, brought out some fresh tomatoes and scotch bonnet, she blended it in a blender, after that she put some oil in the pot, waited for it to be hot before pouring it in, she waited for a few minutes poured the spices, waited for it to simmer, she added water, measured her rice, washed it, when the stew was boiling already poured in her rice added some more salt and covered it, 

"Done",she said. Then she brought out her chicken from the freezer , spiced it all over as a whole and put it in the oven.

By the time, the rice was done, she was already making her potato purée, she then sighted flour, should I make some pancakes, she thought,she finally made the pancakes , after making it she piled them on a plate and poured honey on it.

Michael was wondering where the wonderful aroma was coming from, he had never smelt it before not even from Mrs Maria, he only smelt it during one of their tours in Lagos, the food was  called jollof rice, this can't be, he ran out to the kitchen, he saw nothing, he didn't even see Elena around, he went back to his room. Few more nutes later Mrs Maria came to announce it's time for lunch, "Michael it's time for lunch and you're having it in the balcony, she said she prefers it there".

Getting there, elena was already witted, he sat down opposite to her, he opened the cover of the food and was very happy by what he saw, he was surprised, he took a spoon and rested his head back,

"You made this," he ashed

"Yes," she replied, 

"You're so amazing," he screamed

"How did you learn this," he asked

"Well, I learned it from my African friend", she replied.

After finishing the jollof rice, they gulped down their potato puree and finished their pancakes, then after, sat down there staring at the sky, no word was uttered, "How about we play a game," said Michael

"OK cool," she replied

Michael went to bring pack of cards, they sat on the floor, they played till evening, Elena kept on winning Michael, at a point, Michael wanted to cheat, Elena jumped on him, he turned her to the other side side, their nose were touching, then Mrs Maria came in with Jade, they quickly got up

"Sorry," Michael said.

Let's just go come I don't feel like changing again, said Elena, she was still in his shorts and top, by that time Michael had already left angrily to his room, they were on their wayout when they jammed into pecky, Michael's girlfriend, "Who the hell are you, what are you doing in Michael's house," said Pecky, Elena did not respond instead she entered inside the car, pecky banged on the door and started raining insults on her, Elena angrily got out and dragged pecky by her hair, "Don't mess with me, I'm just your husband's personal assistant, get that into your thick skull, you got that," Elena said and she entered the car angrily.

Pecky barged into the house screaming Michael!!!!, she angrily entered into his room,who was that bitch that just left the house, "Watch your language, that's my personal assistant," said Michael

"And so you're sleeping with her already," Pecky replied

Michael slapped her and left the room .

Elena put her head on Jade's laps, Jade was stroking her hair,

Its okay, everything's alright now, said jade,

"Do you think I got the wrong job or I did the wrong thing by applying for the job," said Elena

"Shush, say no more,"Jade replied, they were both silent till they got home, Jade carried Elena out of the car and backed her, as they got into the house, she dropped Elena on her bed.
