Chapter 9: Lie to me - at Coralina Part TWO

Ada looked at Cree with the saddest look Cree ever saw, overwhelmed with sadness and disappointment, Cree looked down as hearing Ada's sobbing as the door closed after her.

Cree felt hopeless. His impotence of not being able to tell Ada how much he loved her, Cree only looked down. His arms down, handcuffed, he only could make a fist. His body kinda shoot out of anger and not having the possibility of hugging and telling her how much he loved her. All he was left with was that light sweet floral perfume, Ada's favourite.

After that moment, Cree was taken back to his jail for tomorrow's appearance at the court and having the polygraph test.

Great time for Dalit and the opportunity of knowing more about the love and connection this special couple had. That night was the longest one for him to see Ada again. That night, an owl sadly sang. A full moon showed up, but wasn't much of a bright moon, no starts came out, not even shooting stars. It seemed everyone noticed the sad mourning of a broken heart.

Time came for Cree to be in court, face to face with Ada, the jury, witnesses and Dalit.

The court room looked semi dark, the sun timidly seeping through the foggy windows on that fall afternoon, enhanced the dust bothered by the last witnesses invited to be part of the jury. A thin curtain of dust shyly floated in the air, like tiny diamonds shining at the sun gently touched them.

The dust particles danced their way down to the floor as the last members of the jury walked up to their designated area. Dalit sat at the end of the row close the lie detector, in front of the judge to see Ada's and Cree reactions to the questions.

Cree entered the room handcuffed looking down when he saw Ada's sitting next to the judge. In front, was the table where the lie detector sat. Next to it the chair where Cree was to sit. The Polygraph was ready to tell and let ever knows about Ada's and Cree special love everyone knew about.

Shorted by two guards, Cree entered the court room where he spotted Ada.

Ada stood up. Cree was not expecting to see her, since the last word they had was about a year ago, they only communicated via radio. The stormy season due to climate change made it impossible to contact each other. Government assignments kept them from getting together. Seeing each other after a long time brought up that brightness on this couple eyes.

The judge allowed Cree to approach Ada to allow Cree to hug Ada.

One of the court guards stopped Cree from getting close to Ada, so Cree proceeded to walk to the chair sitting next to the polygraph. Cree sat on the designated chair and the polygraph examiner got ready to start the questioning session. Sensors for measuring vital signs to determine Cree's body changes that may lead to him saying lies. Dalit curiosity was about to please her with the mystery around this couple was not to be rumours anymore. Blood-pressure cuff records pulse,

blood pressure, Rubber tubes placed

over chest and abdomen record

breathing.

Any minimal change the devices may pick up, will indicate to Dalit the famous love they both professed was just a legend, a rumoured fact Dalit would not be able to debunk. So once the technician finished hooking up Cree to the polygraph, the questioning started.

Is your name Cree Garrett Griffin?

-yes sir

Responded Cree

Then he turned to where Ada was sitting

Is the name of this lovely lady Ada Pandora?

-yes sir, replied Cree

Your means of transportation

How do you call it? The Blimp?

-The Dragonfly sir

In one assignment- AVALON, you met Evanore, Aria, at that time assistant to Cree noticed strong love feelings not being accepted by the Avalon people. Is that true?

-yes replied Cree

How can you explain the love you have for Ada when that night you spent it with Evanore? Aren't you humans supposed to love and cherish each other?

-I deeply honestly and purely love Ada

Honestly?

-yes answered Cree

If you say you love her honestly and believe in her

-did you know that Ada spent the next night with Jude, the meat curator at Avalon?

-yes, Cree replied

And looked down

Dalit had a staring look, almost smiling. Savouring victory.

Dalit walked closer to her

And whispered - check mate!

Obviously, Dalit purpose was to tarnish the reputation this couple had. She started to taste victory in her mouth and her eyes started to glow like never before. Yes. to her hearts content, sweet victory.

She needed to know how this love turned into the strongest love ever existed. True honest love can't never be broken, not even time can tarnish it, time could pass by, seasons come ti an end and be reborn, but this love will stay the same. Even in the afterlife, they both loved each other before they met.

Before all this journey started, it was through a job assignment Ada had to do for the authorities at Heathergate. Cree, a Hydraulic engineering degree was hired to investigate the structure. Of course needed a person to direct him to contribute and advise authorities and friends in the industry to financially support his works. Cree is a philanthropist, and with Ada's acknowledgment for assessing the needs of the areas and regions she assessed, it turned into a great idea for both to work together.

The more they got involved, the more they became interested each other.

In time, their personality and interactions created a strong relationship they both understood their complicated way of thinking. It was like they communicated telepathically, sort of.

Interesting- Dalit felt obligated to debunk that myth

More intimidating questions?

The polygraph technician did not find any additional suspicious out of the normal picked up by the polygraph device.

Dalit frustration; again , had to find another way to make the two speak up again.

Dalit stood up and requested Ada's participation to sit in front of the jury and have her tested.

❣️Ada stood up and walked towards the area where the polygraph was set up.

Once ready, the polygraph technician started the questioning session.

Is your name Ada Pandora?

How long have you met Cree?

-from the Heathergate assignment, about 6 years ago

Ada said

What was ur criteria to select Cree to be your partner? Be precise

-the technician asked

Well, Ada replied, and looked at Garrett,

From the moment we started to talk, there was a sense of trust and understanding, honesty and charisma that started to intrigue me, I felt compelled to find out more about him.

Cree is well known for his works and studies and contacts, I thought would be great partner on my trips and investigations.

-ok said the technician

He couldn't find anything out of the norm. Nothing suspicious. His attitude; as us dual, calm, relaxed, confident as always.
