Plan

Lucretia stared at Linsey quizzically, a bit puzzled.

"What plan?" she queried.

"You said Philip doesn't want to talk to you right?"

"Ye..ah.." mumbled Lucretia with a slight nod.

"So here is the plan, convince Auntie and Uncle to throw a welcome party for us then invite Philip. We....."

"Wait, wait Linsey." muttered Lucretia cutting in as she stood up from the bed.

Linsey and Anita swiftly stared at each other then back to Lucretia, looking puzzled.

"You just don't get it Linsey, he doesn't want anything doing with me. Not to talk of inviting him. Forget it girls, he won't come." she added.

"Relax....Lucretia." said Anita as she strolled over to where Lucretia stood and gently placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Yes Lucretia." mumbled Linsey, chipping in.

"You don't necessarily have to invite him yourself. Just have Auntie and Uncle take care of that."

"And how is that..?"

"It's simple girl..." uttered Anita.

"Just have them send an invite to his parents, inviting his family to the gathering. What do you think Linsey?"

"That's right Lucretia..." uttered Linsey with a nod.

Lucretia swiftly glanced at Linsey then back to Anita.

"Do you girls think this will work?"

"Sure Luc..." they both answered in unison with Anita taking her seat beside Linsey again.

Lucretia glanced at them silently for a while and sighed.

"Okay...,I'm in." she mumbled.

She slowly strolled to the bed then suddenly stopped.

"But wait, what if he comes along with Daisy? Everything will totally take a wrong turn you know." she mumbled.

"Don't worry Luc....For Daisy, just leave her to us. We totally know how to handle bitches like her." replied Linsey, gesturing to Anita and herself.

"Thanks girls..."

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Lucretia, Anita and Linsey swiftly turned their gaze to the door, expectantly.

"Girls..." uttered Mrs. Angelica as she slowly pushed the door half opened.

"You girls are still catching up with each other?" she queried.

"Yes mum..., you know I missed them so much." muttered Lucretia with a grin as she swiftly turned her to her friends then back to her mother.

"You sure do." she mumbled with a smile.

"Anyway, Linsey and Anita? Have you girls called your parents to inform them of your arrival here?"

"Oh..shit..." whispered Linsey underneath her breathe.

"Oh mine..." gasped Anita, reaching for her phone.

Mrs. Angelica stared at them smiling.

"I think you girls should come down for dinner first then you can call them afterwards. Moreover, your Uncle has given them a call already but you still need to call them so they can be rest assured. But do that after dinner, hmm...?"

"Okay....Auntie..." they muttered.

"Good..., come down soon." she added and dashed off, slowing closing the door behind her.

"So Luc..., can you handle plan? I mean..., the convincing your parents aspect..?" muttered Linsey at they both glanced expectantly at her.

"Yes girls...but for now...,I think we should descend the stairs first before mum starts ranting." uttered Lucretia as she sprang up from the bed, reaching for the door.

"Okay, okay..." mumbled Linsey with a grin as they both followed after Lucretia.

ICE CREAM SHOP

It was 7pm, Philip and Daisy sat at the far left with Philip starring down on his ice cream playfully, deep in thought as he flashes back on his moments with Lucretia in the shop.

"Philip..., Philip...." called Daisy but he was just with his thoughts and didn't hear her called.

"Philip...?" she mumbled again, reaching for his hand as she gently tapped him.

"Huh..?" he muttered as he slowly lifted his eyes to Daisy, starring at her in illusion, mistaking her for Lucretia.

"Luc...?" he mumbled.

"Hey...Phil..., it's me Daisy." she mumbled, a bit furious, swapping her hand before him.

"Oh Daisy..." he muttered, his forehead suddenly creasing in realization of his surroundings.

"What's wrong with you? Are you okay?" she mumbled, puzzled.

"Um...." he mumbled.

"You've been like this ever since we got here. What's gotten into you?" she mumbled, a bit pissed.

"Daisy, I...."

"You know what?, just forget about this. I'm going home." she muttered, cutting in as she stood up from her seat and dashed out.

"Hey...Daisy..wait.." he shouted, rushing after her but before he could get hold of her, she got into her car.

"Daisy, Daisy..., open up." he exclaimed but the car zoomed off.

"Shit..." he mumbled.

"What's wrong with me?" he murmured to himself as he reached out for his phone. He dialled Daisy's number and waits as it's connects.

"Pick up Daisy..." he mumbled anxiously but there was no answer.

"Oh great." he sighed and dashed off to the bus stop. Just as he got there, the bus arrived. He got in and slammed himself in one of the seats and the bus sped off after some few minutes.

It was already 9pm when he got home. He stood at the entrance of his gate for a while, starring at Lucretia's window with the lights still on. He sighed and went into his house.

**************

The morning was still young and bright. Mr and Mrs. Woods were in their room when they heard a knock at the door.

"Mum...,dad..., can l come in?" queried Lucretia at the door.

"Yes dear...,the door is not locked." muttered Mrs. Angelica.

Just then, the door slowly pushed half opened with Lucretia starring through with a grin.

"Come in." mumbled Mr. Gilbert, gesturing Lucretia in.

Lucretia smiled, stepping in as she gently closed the door behind her.

"Come sit by me." uttered Mr. Gilbert

Lucretia smiled with a nod and went over to sit beside her dad on the bed. Mrs. Angelica also went over and sat beside them, next to Lucretia.

"What is it dear?"

"Um..., mum..., dad...?"

"Huh...?" they mumbled.

"Speak dear..." added Mrs. Angelica.

"Well..., can we have a welcome party for Linsey and Anita..?" she queried expectantly.

"Well...." murmured Mr. Gilbert thoughtfully.

"why not." he answered with a grin.

Lucretia jumped up happily and rushed out of the room.
