Chapter 6

Elie's pov

I am beginning to close the cafe up, when the guy who had been sitting in the chair for the whole day. Like why is he still here?! Its about 8 in the afternoon!! I grab the broom from the back, i had to turn so many times because i forgot where it was.

When i got back behind the counter, the guy walked up to pay for his drink, I think. He sets down a 100 dollar bill! What?! He then walks away leaving behind the money and… a feather…

My face paled. It was my feather. He knows. When did he find out?! I take the money and put it in the Cash register, i took the feather. I was freaking out. If hawks finds out, I will not be allowed outside for a really long time!

Taro POV

After I walked out I waited by the door for the girl to exit with a translator. I lean against the wall. She seemed close to hawks -which could help us-. She exits the building and I pull her to the alley-way covering her mouth. As she tries screaming I shush her.

"Please relax madam, we just want to talk!" the translator tries to calm her down.

"What?! NO, You just kidnapped me! Why would i calm down?!!?"

"Look I understand it might look strange but it would be even weirder if the heroes got involved. Please just give us 5 minutes."

"3 minutes, that's it."

" thats more then enough time." taro speaks "where did the feather come from?"

"That would be non of your business."

"Well, if he found it he want to know. Not to mention the fa-" taro stops The translator and speaks "are you related to hawks in any way?"

" Might be..?"

Taro speaks again "alright thats all. As long as you speak nothing about this then no one will know about the feather. And hes glad you got the job." they both walk away.
