VENGEANCE OF THE RETURNER

"Hah hah" A man panted while struggling to breathe.

Soaked in blood, staring at the vibrant sky with his eyes were lifeless. He was severely tattered and worn out. There wasn't any hope left in resurrecting him or healing his wounds. He knew he cannot possibly survive this war with this battered body of his and his fate that led him to this terrible end.

Lying in the middle of a blood-stained battleground he gazed at the boundless sky in despair. The sky was filled with dark clouds and the gaps between the clouds were letting out a reddish hue intensifying the gruesome occurrence.

The numerous cuts and stabs inflicted on him didn't hurt him more than the feeling of desperation, The desperation of being unable to satiate his craving for revenge.

The bloody Warfield was encompassed by soulless bodies. Among some who were struggling to leave their bodies. Some of them were striving to survive, holding on to their dear life amidst the corpses. Meanwhile, some of them were still fighting against entities alien to humans.

A tall man stepped towards the wounded man with a monstrous smile on his face.

The man had his gauntlets dripping blood on the soil. His armor was tainted in blood and his skin color resembled the dark blue sea and he possessed a third eye on his forehead. His long dense black hair fluttered rhythmically with the breeze.  Though he slightly resembled a human's appearance the air around him portrayed him in a different light.

The bloodied man's eyes met with the three-eyed man who smirked at him with his reddened eyes that were filled with rage.

"To think we had to descend even with all restrictions placed... Hand over Time wheel and die peacefully You pest!" The three-eyed man grimaced looking down at the wounded man's face

" " The wounded man did not utter a single word and continued to glare at him.

"You merely resorted the help of 'NOVA TIME WHEEL' and achieved the zenith of your mortal life. Mayhap that delusioned you, that you can defeat us? The gods?" The three-eyed man questioned.

'You led me to this fate...'

Even though the young man had those words in his mind yet, he didn't vent those words out of his mouth.

He simply gave a mocking smile to the three-eyed man reminiscing how ironic his life has been. If only he didn't put his trust in these so-called entities who are known as gods of this world.

"Ahh"

The wounded man groaned attempting to stand up, he fell upon the ground a few times, and finally, he rose tightly clutching his sword as a support.

"Well~ Well if it isn't the Branded? " A feminine voice struck from a distance away.

It was the voice of a woman who possessed a curvy body wearing black armor tainted in blood akin to her hair. She had a sword tightly clutched in her hand. 

"Kalina stand back!" Kalina snorted and said.

"Haha, Look at this mutt, This pitiful insolent creature doesn't seem to have anything left in it. However, it tried to challenge us again? How ironic!" The woman mocked and spat on the floor.

"Tch" The wounded man clicked his tongue feeling irritated.

He roused his Mana and made it flow through his legs and hands and raised his sword with the last threshold of energy he could draw out from his soul. Swiftly the sword began emanating in crimson with a mix of darkness concealing the sword.

"Hah," The three-eyed man sighed.

He started rushing straight to the three-eyed god Shigon. The young man gashed his sword towards the three-eyed man causing an enormous explosion. However, the three eyes man evaded the sword energy.

Shigon clicked his tongue and said.

"Tch, You peasant, yield! This is what you are destined for, for that has already been written and determined by the cosmos. This is the extent that a mere human can achieve."

What he said was the truth, the wounded man defeated some of the high existences only with the Nova time wheel which consumed the young man's life force for the exchange.

'If I die I have to take one of you with me.' 

The wounded man thought.

Shigon smirked at the tormented man.

"I can read your thoughts and feelings just from perceiving your actions. If you try to perish yourself with me only you will cease to exist and I will prevail. You know of this. Because we created the system you use."

And added

"Nix this is the end of your legacy and destiny. Your only purpose was to serve us."

The three-eyed man said rousing his divine energy and, punched straight towards him. 

'One last time!'

Nix mumbled gritting his teeth and borrowed the power of the Nova wheel once again and picked up a shield that was on the ground and blocked the energy released by the three-eyed man with it. He noticed that his attack didn't injure him in the slightest and fell to the ground with a smile that showed complete madness.

Then a status window popped up in the air.

"what do you think you're going to do now?." Nix frowned at the three-eyed man.

'All I have to do now is to get some time.'

"Shigon, I Didn't do anything bad to deserve this. Then why should I suffer like this? ahhhhhh I didn't ask you, gods, to summon me then why? Rather did I wrong you in any way? You made walk this path." Nix uttered gritting his teeth.

" "

Shigon advanced towards him and grabbed Nix by his neck and exalted him in the air, squeezing his neck with his tight grasp.

  Abruptly a blinding light flashed making Nix disappear from his hands. Abruptly a crimson red light flashed In the far distance where shigon Noticed Nix. It is the ability to teleport. He used spatial traverse again to get away from Shigon. 

Gripping his sword, he roused his energy throughout his body for the final time borrowing the time wheel's power.

'I will return and enact my vengeance.'

Suddenly a huge storm of energy Dispersed and then the body of Nix exploded into pieces. Every one of them who was busy with their battle turned their attention towards the explosion.
