Lisa tried calling Alessia as the train disappeared into the distance. In Croatia, Alessia's phone buzzed on the grass beside her, but she didn't move. She was too lost in her dreamsor nightmareswhere Giovanni's face haunted her at every turn.
Lisa called Matteo to place Alessia on a call with them, but she still didn't pick it up.
She quickly held onto the middle-aged local passing by. "Where does that train head to?" she asked in French.
"Dehrot," the man answered.
She gave a low bow as she checked her map app on her phone. Dehrot wasn't far.
She sent a message to Alessia, narrating what she had seen and hoping Alessia would come around on time before Giovanni left.
She entered her train back home. Though it was late, it was the only time she had to develop her game. It was close to perfection now; she felt confident releasing it the next month.
