Looking around, they saw an unusual number of wandering mutated corpses on the outskirts of Corpse Town. These unconscious creatures suddenly swarmed toward the town's center as if they'd caught the scent of fresh blood.
As they rushed forward, some mutated corpses stumbled over dead branches and rocks, but they kept crawling and scrambling in the direction of Corpse Town, seemingly afraid to fall behind.
"Captain, what's going on in Corpse Town?" a teammate asked.
Liu Lei frowned, unsure of what to make of the situation. He and his team had been to Corpse Town many times before, but they'd never encountered anything like this.
"It's not just the mutated corpses – all the monsters in Corpse Town are running toward the center. Something must have happened there!" Liu Lei speculated, his pupils narrowing.
Other teams, who had also arrived at Corpse Town to level up at daybreak, encountered the same issue. Some of the bolder and more cunning individuals began to suspect that valuable loot or a secret realm might have appeared within the town.
In no time, many fearless adventurers rushed toward Corpse Town's center, eager for the chance to score some treasure.
Inside Corpse Town, Zheng Mu stared at a tombstone shrouded in black mist. He never imagined he'd end up here while standing on Optimus Prime's shoulders, with the Licker at his side, as they mowed down zombies in Corpse Town.
"What the hell? How did this tombstone end up in the center of town?" he wondered aloud.
Gazing into the dark mouth of the tomb, the faint light within made the scholarly Zheng Mu realize the true nature of this tombstone: a secret realm!
In this world, the quality and drop rate of items varied depending on the creature. The drop rate was lowest for wild creatures like rabbits and boars found near human cities. Killing thousands of these creatures might not even yield a single item.
Higher up were the monsters and bosses of areas like Poisonous Ruins and Corpse Town. Even higher were secret realms like the one Zheng Mu had just discovered.
The appearance of secret realms was unpredictable, often appearing one minute and vanishing the next. However, there was no doubt that they contained valuable items.
A notification flashed before him:
[You killed a 50-year-old Hopping Corpse (lv21), gained 450 experience points, and acquired a blue material "Flesh Filled with Corpse Poison"]
Zheng Mu glanced over to see the Licker tearing at a zombie's head, apparently unaware that its opponent was already defeated.
With a shout, he used [Midas Touch] as another blue light orb fell into his hand.
In the next moment, the [Flesh Filled with Corpse Poison] transformed into a complete set of [Bionic Human Muscle Tissue].
Considering the materials he'd already collected from other zombies – an [Artificial Intelligence Core] and [Internal Circulatory System] – Zheng Mu now had everything he needed to create a T-800.
Realizing that the surrounding zombies seemed unwilling to approach the tomb, Zheng Mu didn't hesitate to use the system to create the T-800.
A flash of light swirled around, blending the required materials together.
As the light dissipated, a muscular, humanoid robot with a standard tough-guy appearance appeared before him.
What surprised Zheng Mu the most was that the T-800 wasn't unarmed, as he'd imagined. Instead, it had bullets wrapped around its body and held a dramatic-looking four-barreled shotgun. Unusual grenades hung from its waist.
