This is exactly what Hades was afraid of, getting too close to Persephone. How would he be able to resist such a beautiful goddess? How on earth was he going to be able to stop himself from kissing her when every fiber of his dark being yearned for her.
She got on her knees and gently held the god's muscular arms, and Hades wanted nothing more than to grab her and kiss her like there was no tomorrow.
But he couldn't, this was not right. If anyone ever found out he and Persephone were more than just acquaintances, it would ruin her reputation.
The crimson eyed god didn't care about his reputation, people already thought him a monster anyway, so there was nothing more they could say that could taint it any further. But for Persephone, she was young and she had a long life in Olympus ahead of her, it would be terrible if it started off with nasty rumors about her.
