Persephone put down her fork and looked up at the crimson eyed god ,who was merely staring at his plate of food. He had an odd expression on his face, as if the food had said something offensive to him.
"Hey... is everything okay?" She asked.
Hades lifted his gaze and nodded unnaturally, it was painfully clear that there was something bothering him.
"If you don't like the food, I can always warm some leftovers for you.."
Hades shook his head and scooped a spoonful, "what?! No this food is delicious Persephone! It's just been so long since I've had it I just can't comprehend it." He shoved the spoon in his mouth and slowly chewed, his body trembling in the process.
Oh Gaia, it tasted almost exactly like it did a hundred and fifty years ago. The god put down his fork and stood up, shocking Persephone and Cerberus who were almost done with their meal.
"Excuse me," he mumbled, and then left the kitchen without saying another word.
