Long Time

"You don't like it?" his eyes stared at her.

"No, I love it it's the most expensive gift I have ever received" she let out.

"Then can I put it on you," he asked.

She knew he wasn't going to let her refuse it, Alex turned and held her hair. Nathan gently placed it around her neck.

"It's beautiful," Becca said.

She turned back to Nathan, "Thank you so much" her smile was back.

They drank and finished the cake until she dozed off on the sofa.

Becca and Roy left soon after leaving them alone.

He walked back to the living room after seeing them out. He cleaned up the table and then moved to her.

Quietly he cared her off the sofa and walked up to his room.

Gently he placed her down and covered her.

"You here tonight sleeping in my bed, dressed in my shirt is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time. Goodnight Alex" he smiled seeing his necklace hanging around her neck.

He bought her a teddy bear and placed it next to her on the bed.

"Let him keep you company for the night" he turned off the lights and walked out.

He made a call to his father

"Hi, Dad," he said.

"Son still awake this hour. Something bothering you?" he asked.

"No, was celebrating a birthday party," he said.

"Whose it that, you never attend any birthday parties unless it's mine," his curious father asked.

"It was for Alex"

"Oh you met her again" his father let out

"Yes," he told his father how he met her again and finally ended up celebrating her birthday with her.

"That is a customized brand of jewellery, did she accept it"

"Yes she did and the moment she let me help her put it on and her smile effect are all imprinted in my mind"

"Am glad your happy son. When you finally start dating her let me meet the woman who is making my son so jolly" his father said

"I will father, okay I will let you go to bed, "he said.

He said his goodnight and hang up.

He sniffed then sneezed," Did I catch a cold " he walked off to the guest room.
