Close To Hers.

Alex breathed opening her eyes. The dark huge eyes of the golden teddy bear were staring right back. She smiled and kissed it

"Morning, my teddy" she smiled hugging it. She stopped when she noticed the room wasnt hers. "Am in his room" she sprung up. "how did I get here, I drank a lot last night"

She pushed the covers away and walked out of bed. Alex opened the door and peeked outside not seeing anyone.

"Did they leave me here" she murmured walking out. Going down the stairs Alex tried retracing her steps from the last to remember which side to go to reach the living room.

She finally heard a noise from the kitchen and walked there. Nathan was cooking something he was so busy he didn't hear her come in.

"Morning" she voiced.

Hearing her voice he turned to see her standing in the kitchen.

Alex noticed his long hair was down with the rest at the front in a ponytail, dressed in a white undershirt his perfect body showing through it.

"Morning Alex, did you sleep well?" he walked to her

She nodded, "I did, guess I drank a lot last night and slept like a baby.

"No, you were exhausted so you slept off after a few drinks," he said his eyes moving to her neck. She noticed and looked down to see the necklace.

"I know I said thank you but am grateful for what you did for me last night, the decorations, cake and especially the gifts," she said.

"You taking our gifts was the best thank you that you gave us," he said.

She could feel his dark eyes seeking something in hers so she quickly looked away.

"What are you making" peeking into the kitchen.

"Pancakes," he said walking back.

"Can I help?" she asked.

"Sure," he said.

Alex walked to where he was and scanned the counter, "where should I begin"

"Your choice" he smiled.

The shirt being too long was getting in the way so he stopped her.

"Let me help with that," his hands folded the long sleeves of the shirt. "now go ahead," he said after he was done.

"Can we start with the eggs, I think it's the simplest thing I can do? "she said.

He chuckled," You don't know how to cook? " he asked grabbing a bowl and eggs.

"Am not that bad like my sister. But also not good " she laughed.

"Then let me teach you, "he said getting behind her." May I, "he asked

She nodded, feeling his warm firm body get close to her back. His arms slid and moved across her waist to her arms and held her hands. The softness and warmth of his hands made led her to hold her breath for a while.

"You hit it like this then break " Alex's right ear turned red instantly as his voice and breath brushed next to it. Her heart rate seemed to react as it quicken.

Being fully engulfed in his body she finally realised how their height was so different. Her head was hitting his chest as he moved to show her how to mix the eggs.

"Did you get that? "he asked, she woke up from her trace and nodded.

"Now we are going to add the milk and flour, "he said.

"Mmm," she let him instruct her as he moved holding her hands.

Soon they were frying them, she giggled as he gently showed her how to pour the mixture into the pan.

"Careful I don't want you to get hurt, "he said.

"I don't think so, you're doing almost everything "she laughed.

He chuckled.
