Under the strange poem was a quick sketch of the very same cherry blossom tree they saw inside the wooden box. Its petals were painted a vivid red, a color that the man was unlikely able to afford.
"Does Sumeng think this is some sort of clue?" Yuan Xuelan squinted at the words. It left behind a nagging feeling that he couldn't quite unravel or make sense of. But he couldn't tell if he was thinking too hard, or if he was just thinking in circles. The word North Star did jump out of him though and made him wonder if it was supposed to indicate some sort of directions.
"Do you remember the village we passed to look for Mo Fei?" Liu Sumeng pointed out.
"Wasn't it called…" Yuan Xuelan's eyes instantly lit up. "Que Village!"
