The sea tossed and turned, launching the ship from towering waves before water splashed atop the deck and threatened to swallow them whole. No matter how much the ship tossed and turned, the tent nor the couch moved from the spot. The water caressed the sides of the barrier and surrounded their world in a murky dark blue.
In some instances, Liu Sumeng even spotted signs of life within the sea, but the creatures within were not normal. There were fish with bulbous growths of the head. Each was a swirling eyeball that followed any moment. There were fish with gaping mouths and pointed jaws that spewed poison against the invisible barrier. There were even fish that lacked any flesh at all, appearing as nothing more than a twitching and flailing skeleton.
