Chapter One

This story begins with Adam and Eve.

When Adam and Eve were elderly, Adam invented a gift to express his love for Eve one more time before she died. They called it a Valentine. "What is it?" Eve asked. "It's a...valentine!" Adam replied. "Valentine? Where did you get that word?" she asked again. "It LOOKS like a valentine." She gazed at him with happy eyes. "It is a good word and bears repeating." And it did for thousands of years.

It was 1910, Mark Twain, Huck Finn, Huckleberry Finn, and Becky Thatcher encountered Halley's Comet. Suddenly, the old man faded away before their eyes. Becky noticed Mr. Twain in the clouds of the comet. She asked him, "Where is the comet going now?" The old man replied, "Back to Eden, Angelfish, back to Eden." The children were saddened that their friend and author had passed away.

Tom cleared his throat to get Becky's attention. He placed the valentine in Becky's hands and said to her, "I found this in Adam and Eve's diary. You can have it." Becky smiled as she looked at the valentine. She realized that Tom loved her just as much as Adam did for Eve. Tom smiled back, blushing bright red. Becky, too, was blushing bright pink.

Huck saw the two flirting with one another. "Oh Yeah? I found these!!" Huck put on the Groucho Marx glasses that Adam used to wear to disguise himself from Eve. Tom and Becky thought that Huck looked quite hilarious. "The human race, in all its poverty, has only one truly effective weapon; laughter. Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand." proclaimed Mr. Twain before he blew his airship out of the comet so that the kids could return home.

The story ended there... but is it truly the beginning of something else?
