Gu Xin Ye was Acting Strangely Again

Qin Zhan was in the middle of checking the broth when the phone in his pocket vibrated. He threw some herbs into the broth before taking out the phone and read the message loudly. "Lin Lin said she's coming to the noodle stall."

Li Jun Xuan hesitated. "No. I'll go. If Lin Lin sees me again, she might continue to nag me."

"I know." There was a complicated look in his eyes as he pondered over his friend's words. Li Jun Xuan rubbed the tip of his nose. "I'll go back before you start to nag me too."

Gu Xin Ye continued to wipe the cutleries with her back facing Qin Zhan. Once in a while, she would look up and peek at the table to check what they were up to. But she was a coward and did not dare to look for too long.

A deep crease appeared between her brows. Gu Xin Ye was still wondering about Qin Zhan's relationship with Mo Cheng Feng's wife. Although she had a few suspicions, Gu Xin Ye had to wait for Shen Yi Nian to report her investigation.

"I called your name a few times but you did not seem to hear me."

Gu Xin Ye shifted her eyes away, knowing that she was at fault for not paying attention to her surroundings. "Sorry. I was too focused on my task." Her heart skipped a beat upon realizing that Qin Zhan was standing too close to her.

"Oh..."

Before she could take a step back to create a safe distance between them, Qin Zhan had spoken again.

"Miss Gu."

"Ah?"

"Were you planning to stab me with a pair of chopsticks?"

Gu Xin Ye looked at the man before her in puzzlement. She followed his gaze and finally realized that she has been pointing the chopstick at Qin Zhan's chest.

Her face turned red. She quickly move the chopstick away and did not dare to raise her head to look at Qin Zhan again.
