Chapter 36

The next day, Daniel headed to the Great Linkins forest, a forest beside Celadon city to train. He had decided to take on the gym once he had 3 advance ranked pokemon of his own. He reached his destination in just a few days.

He released all his pokemon and checked all their info. A faint energy was released from Daniel and headed to his pokemon through his bond, wrapping around them and sensing their energy. The information was then fed into Daniel's mind.

This faint energy should not have been sensed by anyone, but in a particular small volcanic island near where Daniel was currently at, a certain pokemon sensed this energy. It flapped its fiery wings and took off in Daniels direction.

As the pokemon travelled, within the water under the fiery bird pokemon, movement could be seen. Water in the form of a tornado shot out towards the head of the pokemon flying over it. The pokemon halted and backed up a little. In anger, it released a fiery wave at the tornado, evaporating it and revealing a white and blue pokemon within, majestically blocking the fiery pokemon's path.

"You're not a local moltres are you."

The lugia blocking moltres's path spoke.

"Let me teach you how to behave in our territory."

The lugia flapped its wings and the water around them rose, blocking moltres's vision. The moltres was on guard for anything the lugia could try to pull off. However, the water did absolutely nothing which made the molters even more wary.

'He's buying time for something.' The molters immediately realized. Unfortunately, it was too late.

A terrifying psychic energy descended on moltres. Even though the lugia had an absolute advantage as it was stronger and over water which it could control freely, lugia actually chose to call for reinforcements.

Moltress sensed a dangerous ball of fire approaching it from above. It used its strongest move- burn up. A rainbow like bridge opened abbe moltres and fire was shot out of it.

All flames around moltres's body moved to collide with the terrifying flame to make the sacred fire disperse in all direction. Some of the flames managed to reach the forest where Daniel was.

Moltres fired a powerful blast of wind. A small pink feline pokemon appeared and released a burst of psychic energy that destroyed the energy within the wind.

"Let's deal with it at your place."

As the newly appeared mew said that, the sky turned pink and crashed on moltres's back, drowining it in water.

The lugia made its body streamlined and dove after it. Inside water, moltres had no chance against lugia.

"Looks like you're weaker than I thought." Lugia spoke with authority "You cannot escape in here."

"You took his side since you thought he was stronger. Now that you've seen our strength, maybe its time to change sides. Tell us verything about him and his army and we will spare your life."

"Does defeating me make you stronger than him?" The moltres finally spoke. "What's wrong with joining the winning side."

"What's wrong is you will lose your life." Lugia calmly replied.

The moltres, unphased, started burning. The flames on its body acted as if they were being fueled by something. An area void of water was created around moltres.

At this time, mew appeared in front of moltres, a blue bubble was visible around it. Lugia flapped its wings and pressure descended on moltres, suppressing its flames. Mew crashed into moltres and appeared on the other side. A gaping hole could be seen in its body.

"What happened?" Mew asked lugia. They rose to the surface so that the ho-ho could join the conversation.

"The otherworld kid tried to check 6 pokemon at once so some energy got leaked and was detected." Lugia replied.

Ho-oh: "He's reckless and not doing what he was brought here for."

Lugia: "Just tell him what to do then."

Mew: "The new guy says bringing him here has given us an unintentional opportunity. He's usually right about things relating to humans. And we now know that we have spies our turf. Let's focus on that first and leave him be for now."

As for Daniel, seeing the fire in the distance, he left for Celadon city.
