Chapter 217 - Evee

Waking up from her beautiful dream, Gu Xun'er wherein she was able to play with her father and deceased mother. It was only a wishful dream since her mother had long died right after her birth. She had lived a life of loneliness and sadness even with the comfort of her father did not quench her loneliness.

The little girl was mature for her age and aware of how cruel fate had set for her. She had wished for a glimpse of happiness yet only dread came when her clan wanted to use her in order to gain power.

Until the moment where she was about to open the door on her mission was halted by a young man. Everything seemed to have become clear and felt her own loneliness vanishing into thin air. 

'Where am I?'

She thought seeing herself being in a small room having foreign objects such a light sort that did not contain any Dou qi. Despite being a small child and having yet to reach the first level of cultivation was already talented to sense Dou Qi. The little girl was a natural genius not in terms of cultivation rather her intellect.

It was then the door creak open only that made her surprised to see the young man with long red crimson hair wearing a dark robe that contained red accents. She saw him give a friendly smile, causing her to feel calm and drawn to him.

'She is rather calm...I'm impressed she's already this mature for her age.'

Caelum thought, feeling giving his sympathy knowing the child had yet to experience anything great in her life. He may be unaffected and detached from worldly emotion yet did not mean he lost them. 

Removing the worldly attachment did not amount to abandoning rather having firmest control over them. Furthermore, the amount of his comprehension about life and death gave him complete grasp over his worldly desires and emotions.

It was this reason that those trying to sever any connections in the mortal world were doomed to fail as they did not understand the true meaning of life and death. 

"How are you, little girl? You might be hungry here, have some breakfast."

Caelum uses his [Culinary Dao] to manifest a meal that contains strong vital Qi. The aroma spreads throughout the room letting the little girl's nose dance by its scent and begin to drool.

He saw her reaction and smiled while placing the meal before her and immediately began eating. The meal was a simple assortment of food consisting of dumplings and noodle soup. It may appear simple yet this could easily revitalize a wounded man.

"Slow down, the food won't leave you. Anyway, can you tell me your name? Mine is Tian."

"Gu..Gu Xun'er."

"I see you from the ancient Gu clan? I'll talk to your father about what he was planning while you are staying with me."

Caelum will send someone to give his message before living and taking Gu xun'er for himself. He dislikes her father for not acting like one and letting his clan's ambition overtake him. Though, it would be hypocritical of him if he kept criticizing the man.

He was pressured and knew it would help his clan from other ancient clans if they became stronger. The only thing they missed was to collaborate with the Xiao clan and could easily manipulate them. Their declining clan and could be tempted by few items. 

"I wonder if you'd like to watch some television."

"Television? What is that??"

Caelum decided to let her watch some show to entertain her while she ate her meal. The little girl became curious seeing black object in his hand before the big black screen opened revealing some foreign text.

She silently watched as the big box began to show images similar to some inscription patterns for communication yet the object did not contain anything. 

Caelum observed her from the side seeing her fixation in the show. She then turned to him and began to question the object. He explained everything in detail with Xun'er being able to understand the concept relatively fast.

Time passed, Xun'er became obsessed with countless shows and attached them to children's anime cartoons. Caelum noticed her expression and saw what she was looking at.

"Oh do you like Eve?"

She is watching the show about an eternal ten year old in his quest to become the best slave master. Caelum gave his accurate description in his head while looking at the girl's reluctant reply.

"Y-Yes, it looks rather cute…"

"Is that so? Well this is the best I can do for now."

Caelum then manifests a Eve teddy bear receiving a glittering eye from Xun'er. She tightly hugged the Eve toy while giving a cute smile that warmed the young man's heart. He could easily make a lifeform after reaching new heights of Life and death but it was better to do it in the future as a gift.

He had countless daughters that outweighs his sons and was frustrated how they always ended up becoming his bride. Caelum then noticed her looking at him and heard her speak.

"T-Thank you, Tian-Ge."

"Ge? Well, it was not a problem. I like children with bright smiles. Remember to always smile, especially while you're young."

Upon his words, Xun-er is stricken by them burying themselves into her core. She promised to always smile for the person that changed her life. 

Meanwhile, Caelum was able to absorb the fate around Xun-er finally severing her to Xiao Yan and the storyline. The former felt something vanished from him giving a confused expression.

'Did I lose something? No, probably just imagination since I'm already strong and no one can beat me!'

The foolish fated boy remains ignorant of his future being changed. He would have a smooth road yet it will only reach so far. 

Back to caelum, he quickly used the accumulated Fate and luck into his Divine Halo to ensure his future was secured while the [Butterfly effect] shed its wings and regrow a more luscious one while growing in size.

'Cause and Effect seem to correspond with Time.'

He was slowly and gradually reaching his end goal of becoming a Variable or Singularity where his Past and present does not affect him. Caelum would be out of the river of time sitting on shore overseeing its flow.

Everything has a line and code that shape the world that it followed including time and caelum was able to gradually understand how it functions and arrange.

"Father, are you here!?"

Caelum came out from his deep thoughts and saw the door burst open where came a little girl with white pinkish hair radiating overbearing and powerful aura. She was Xiao Yi Xian who appeared older despite having the same age as Xun'er.

She spotted her father with a little girl causing her to feel jealous and intently stared at her causing the latter to be scared. 

"Xian-er stop that! Father is mad if you kept doing that."

"Geeh! Forgive me, Father!"

"It's fine but you need to apologize to her, not me."

Xian-er moved closer to Xun-er who still felt scared and experienced her stare that the former felt guilty acting too rashly. She quickly bowed and apologized to her.

"I'm sorry for scaring you. I promise I won't do it again and hope we can be friends."

"N-No, it's fine and I would be happy t-to have a friend."

"Really!? That's great! Let's go and play outside!"

Xun-er was reluctant to accept looking at Caelum who only nodded, making her happy and excited. She had not experienced having a friend after being isolated and placed on a pedestal. 

Xian began to pull her while Xun-er held Eve tightly and Caelum followed them from behind. Upon going outside, Xun-er was greeted by countless foreign things that caught her curiosity. Caelum doesn't use Time dilutions to any of his Inner world and mainly use on Zenith world.

They visited a few places across the world while gradually Caelum and other children came and joined them, letting Xun-er gain more friends. After a while, Caelum left her with his wives and family that began spoiling the little girl.

He had noticed the child missed her mother and might revive her when the time came. Caelum won't claim her unless she curses her husband then he'll gladly eat the milf.
