Chapter 47: Luffy is Dead

Luffy strikes Crocodile in his chest, then drop an axe kick splitting Him into two piece, smashing into a pile of sand.

"Why, you... you... you...! Did that smash you?! You sand gator!" said Luffy while stomping on the ground.

Crocodile materialised behind him with a grin across his face "I told you, that won't work." 

"You bastard...!" said Luffy.

Still, the battle between these two men. It is destined to be a one-sided battle, because Luffy doesn't know Haki.

Crocodile said with a deadpan face "No matter how hard a rubber man like you try, there is no way...you'll ever peat--"

"'Peat'? What was that you were trying to say?" asked Luffy.

Crocodile's face was gloomy and cold, his pupils burst into murderous intent.

"I think that is just about enough fun and games, Straw Hat Luffy."

He forms his right hand into a loose blade of fast-moving sand, and then stabs the ground while shouting.

"Desert Spada!!"

The Desert Sword extend along the ground like a torpedo, splitting anything in its path, including the very ground itself, going straight toward Luffy. but the latter managed to dodge by jumping from the ground.

"Nicely dodge. If you'd taken that, it would have gotten more than an "ow" from you." said Crocodile.

"What?! the dessert's been split!" shouted Luffy while looking at the ravine.

"Depending on one's training and how they're used, Devil fruit abilities can become a means of fighting as powerful as any. I 'm not like you other fools, who are only preoccupied with your abilities. You can regret defying me as much as you want, now." said Crocodile.

Crocodile creates another loose sand blade from his right hand while roaring "Desert Girasole!!" then he stabs it into the ground causing the area in front of him to collapse into a giant pit of quicksand with Luffy at the center of it.

"What?!What?!What?!What?!"

"The sand! It's being sucked into the ground!" 

Exclaims Luffy, then try to escape from the pit.

"You don't know about quicksand?" asked Crocodile.

"It makes for a handy desert coffin, with no need for a tombstone. The sand is drawn down into underground waterways. I am able to detect where those are. No one in the world can stand up to me when fighting in the desert." said Crocodile with a evil smile on his face.

"I'm not about...to let myself be buried alive in sand! You bastard! " shouted Luffy.

"Gum-Gum...BAZOOKA!!"

Luffy managed to the jump in the air, then said "If I can't slug you, then how about I catch you?"

"Gum-Gum Finger Net!!"

But he slapped into the air by a mass of sand.

"Can't you learn anything? That won't work." said Crocodile.

"Gum-Gum...Whip!!" 

Luffy attacked again but it was useless.

"Are you planning to keep doing that?" asked Crocodile, then caught Luffy's arm and swings his right arm forward while leaving a crescent shaped trail of sand behind it towards Luffy's right arm.

"M-My arm! My arm...!My arm...!" shouted Luffy in pain, horrified to find a mummified arm.

"It's turned into a mummy! My arm has become a mummy!"

"Such is the essence of the dessert." replied Crocodile.

"Y-You've gotta be kidding me!" Luffy said while sitting up and holding his arm. 

Luffy recalls the bucket of water and sprints toward it; after drinking it, his right arm returns to normal.

"Gum-Gum..." Luffy sprinted towards Crocodile. 

"Are you still planning to do something?" asked Crocodile.

"...Munch-Munch" Luffy jumped toward Crocodile and ate him.

Crocodile come out of Luffy's mouth covered in saliva while shouting "Don't go pulling ridiculous crap like that! Die. You, along with the indomitable land of Yuba."

" Your 3 minutes are up. Like I said at the start, I don't have the time to hang around with you any longer."

 "Sables!!"

Crocodile summons a massive tornado of sand and sends it on a rampage toward Luffy.

The tornado send Luffy flying.

"Give it up, it won't work. That sandstorm will pick up strength, and obtain wind speeds that even I can't stop." said Crocodile.

"You've gotta be yanking me!" said Luffy.

"Yuba is finished." replied Crocodile.

Luffy ran toward Crocodile and hold on his coats "Stop it! Right now! Stop--"

"puff!!!"

Crocodile's hook pierced through Luffy's body, lifting him in the air.

"Who do you think I am? There are as any number of rookies like you, who are nothing but talk, Yuba is going to die from that one, final sandstorm. This outdated consideration for others is going to destroy this land. And the same goes for you, Straw Hat Luffy. If you had abandoned your worthless feelings, you would have lived longer. "

Luffy hold Crocodile arms and crushed, surprising the latter. 

Crocodile directly threw Luffy into the big pit in front of him.
