To Be a Hero: A MHA fanfic

So where do we go after we die? There are a lot of theories on that matter Most people all over the world assume that the dead move on to the after life. The good people end up in heaven while the bad have to suffer in hell. Others assumed that you just wake up in paradise or something. She even remembered someone saying that maybe you get to watch over the lives of those you love. And others like the Hindus and Buddhists believe in reincarnation. They believed that someone who died with good karma they would be reborn into a good life. Those who did not have good karma end up with a bad life. Like any normal anime fan that had read a ton of reincarnation fan fiction of course the thought of being reincarnated into a cool anime world crossed her mind... ________________ You guys know how this thing goes. I could give ya more details, but that would just ruin the fun

Chapter 56

Shino sighed when she finally finished her latest work. She held it in front of her, observing. It should do the job. She looked up at the very happy baby floating in the air. Yuki was in her room, sitting on her bed and staring up at her baby brother. Her eyes were full of worry as he happily drifted in the air. She's a true older sister, that's for sure. Shino could only smile as she watched her. She ruffled her hair in reassurance.

"Don't worry too much, he's fine"

Yuki nodded with a weak smile. She would have to believe Shino. She wouldn't lie, would she? If she did Yuki would know. She could always detect a lie. One would think it would be a fun quirk to have. No one can lie to you. The truth is they can, you just always know when a lie is told. Knowing when someone is lying hurts more than she expected it to. As an orphan lies is all she's heard. Being able to tell that it was absolutely false didn't do her very good. Adults always lie. They lie to keep the children ignorant. It wasn't very fun.

"Alright" Shino crouched and jumped. She easily took hold of the baby boy and canceled his quirk upon contact, that way he did not slip out of her grip. The baby was then safely in her arms and as happy as ever. He likes to giggle. "You're a tricky one, aren't you Kaito? "

Shino shifted him and gently clasp her created bracelet around his tiny wrist. It was more or less plastic and harmless to him. He could bite on it if his gums start to inch and when he shook his hand there was a rattle. It was a perfect little bracelet that kept his quirk locked up, so he was literally grounded. The bracelet was the emerald green of his eyes.

"No more flying for you , little guy" Shino tickled him. He was an adorable kid. He couldn't crawl yet. He could sit on his own though. Shino hummed as she handed the baby over to his sister.

Yuki carefully held her brother as she followed after Shino. She was observing the bracelet she made him. It felt soft. As if it was one of the toys made for him to chew on when his gum itches.

"Can he bite this? "

"Yes. It's perfectly safe. Plus it taste like blueberries " Shino informed.

"Shino! " Ryuu came speeding down the hall. It was easy enough to learn of his target even before he tried to tackle Shino. All he ended up doing was clutching onto her when it didn't work. "Why are you so strong "

"You have the strenght of a five year old"

Ryuu grumbled and scaled Shino's body as if she was some type of tree or something. He placed himself on her back, still looking annoyed.

"I'll get you next time"

"Sure"

Shino made her way into the kitchen only to find Sora and Reichi raiding her cabinets and her fridge for snacks. They had a literal shopping cart that they were filling to the brim. Reichi was seated in the cart and was eating some gumi worms. He had that sleepy look on his face.

"Seriously, Sora? "

"Hey, we have company later. I'm just making sure the basement has enough snacks" he said as he munched on some potatoes chips.

Shino sighed and opened her fridge. Luckily they knew to leave her cake and milkshake in it's place. Sipping om her milkshake Shino noted that the bookworm of the siblings is mission. Yui is probably in the library with Momo or something. Someone else is missing. Shino was going to disregard Katsuki for the moment.

"Where Izuku? "She asked Sora.

He shrugged. "I think he's looking over your notes on quirks or something. "

That does sound like the boy. Oh well. He'll make himself known when he's ready. Shino decided she'll let everyone do their own thing. She was still standing in front of the fridge and grabbed the bottle of milk she stored in there for Kaito. She expertly increased the temperature in her hand until the milk was warm enough for the infant.

She handed the bottle to Yuki so she can feed him. He drinks on his own, but unless he's fed he'll do all types of things with his milk.

Just as she left the kitchen there was the sound of the doorbell. She didn't need to get it because her mother was immediately there. Shino almost forgot she was home.

"Hello kids, Shino's most likely somewhere near the kitchen"

Shino chuckled at that. She visits the kitchen a lot doesn't she?

The first arrivals were Daichi, Akio, Kaminari and Kirishima. As always three of the boys were amazed by her house while Akio seemed unaffected.

"Who's the kid? "Kirishima asked when he spotted Ryuu, who was still on Shino's back. The boy was staring at them as if he was sizing them up. "Why does he look like he wants to fight"

Shino sighed. She didn't understand why Ryuu had to pick a bone with everyone.

"This is Ryuu" Shino retrieved him from her back and placed him on his feet. She ruffled his hair only for him to stomp on her foot. "I saved him and his siblings and decided to let them stay here"

"Orphans? "Akio questioned as he eyed the boy.

"Yeah" Shino nodded and watched Ryuu walk up to Kirishima. "They didn't get the best of treatment "

"You look strong, teach me to fight. "

Kirishima laughed a bit. "Sorry kid, ask your sister"

"I did but she's only showing me stupid stuff"

"You need to start off wit the basics, Ryuu" Shino slung the boy over her shoulder and motioned for the others to follow.

"So you're a big sis now? "Kaminari asked curiously.

"Yes"

"How's that working out"

"Well enough"

"How many are there? "Daichi asked when he spotted Yuki and Kaito with Nico.

"Five. Three boys two girls. One of the boys is an infant that can't even crawl yet"

The group made it into the basement. Sora and Katsuki were already there. Reichi was with them and eating marsh mellows now. That kid jus likes to eat doesn't he?

"Bakubro! I challenge you to a video game battle! "Kaminari and Kirishima shouted as they immediately headed towards the explosive blonde.

"I told you idiots to stop calling me that! "

Shino made her way to her little bar. She went to stand behind it and checked to see what she had in stock. She can make a virgin cocktail. Daichi and Akio had followed her.

"Where's Momo? "

"Library"

"You have a library?! "Daichi exclaimed in total shock.

"Yes? "Shino places two juice boxes on the bar and placed Ryuu in one of the barstools. She slid a box towards the boy. "Why so shocked? "

Daichi sighed and said nothing. Maybe he shouldn't have been so surprised. The kid lives in a mansion. What did he expect?

Ryuu was quick to leave the bar and join his brother on the couch with the other boys. He must've taken an interest in the video games.

"You really took them in because of the way they were treated" Akio said as he looked at Shino. He looked very serious and grateful. "You're a good person"

Shino blinked and chuckled a bit bashfully. "Ah thanks? I couldn't really send them back to the orphanage. They'd just end up with no good parents again. "

Akio nodded. He understood completely. Orphans aren't the most lucky of kids. They can't choose the people they end up with and if they are treated poorly there is not much they can do. They would be afraid to tell for multiple reason. Maybe their caretaker threatened to beat them. Or let them starve. There are multiple reasons.

"They would have been separated if you did not help them" Akio said after some time. "When siblings are constantly moved from house to house they will eventually have to split up"

Shino nodded. Daichi sighed. "Why don't people make sure they are sent to good people. Can't they do a background check or something. They should really have people who can somehow separate the bad from good working there"

"Point" Shino sighed. "But the world is not perfect. The least we can do is help whoever we can. "

Both boys nodded with a hum.

"Hey Shino" Yui came running into the basement followed by Momo. The kid had a book in her tiny arms and was trying to get onto a barstool. She was failing. Akio smiled at the scene before helping her up. She huffed and placed the book on the bar. "Thank you "

"You're welcome"

"What you got there? "

"A cool fantasy about a wizard who saves the world"

"Classic " Daichi said. "He's probably the hero of a prophecy "

Momo made her way behind the bar with Shino. She took the girl's milkshake for herself as she listened to the conversation.

"He'll definitely meet an old wize geezer" Daichi said. "He'll be all like; you are the chosen one. The prophecy speaks of the boy with a heart of gold and how he shall conquer all. But you must be trained. I shall be your teacher and teach you everything I know. After that I will die like every mentor ever" Daichi mimicked while stroking his pretend beared and deepening his voice.

Yui tilted her head as she watched the boy. "That doesn't have to happen"

"That's just how those type of books work"

"I hate to say he's right" Momo said to the child.

"Awe"Yui stared at the book as if it offended her. "Why can't the hero be a girl?"

"Again, that's how those books work" Shino pointed out. "Females don't tend to be stronger than the main character that happens to be male. Why? I will never understand. I don't get why a strong female character is so hard to stumble upon. It's a sin I tel ya"

Momo hummed before smiling. "Hey, you're a strong female"

"Different situation Momo"

"Yes, but let's say that this is a story. You broke that stereo type, didn't you? You're stronger than the boys "

Shino chuckled. If only she knew. She was stronger than the supposed main character.

"I suppose"

"I want another book now" Yui pouted.

"Don't be that way. Maybe the story is different " Shino said thoughtfully. "Maybe the hero is reluctant. Maybe he doesn't want to be the one to save the world. Maybe there was a mistake. Or maybe the main character is on the other side of the prophecy. The one meant to he destroyed by the hero. Ever thought of that? "

Yui brightened at the prospect. "That would be cool"

"Different perspective for once" Akio said. "Maybe this set villain doesn't want to be the villain, but maybe in his world what is written as prophecy shall come to be no matter what"

"Well if its written in a "book of prophecy " why not let him hunt it down and tear the page out or rewrite it? " Daichi suggested. "That way he will choose his own destiny"

"Or maybe. He breaks free from the magic of the prophecy and does exactly the opposite of what is foreshadowed" Momo said thoughtfully .

All their talk was amusing to Shino.

"What if this world I find myself in was a fanfiction? " she questioned with a laugh.

"Nah"

Hey guys. Again sorry for rand updates.

Also I'm trying to come up with quirks for the kids. Any suggestions?
