Time Twister

A man living in the future classically isekai'd and was reincarnated in a fantasy world where modern science and magic co-exist, where the world is not limited within one planet. How will he survive armed with his powers and system gifted by a benevolent (?) God? Are there others like him? Can he go and visit his old world? What lies beyond the stars? Beyond...the universe? Note: The first 6 years will be fast. The story really begins once he reached 7 years old. The novel is written to explain his experiences, feelings, and thoughts, how through time, he starts to change his outlook and beliefs, influenced by the beings/people around him, and how they are also influenced by him, changing their fates.

Time as a Film, accident

After 50 years... after 100 years... after 200 years.... after 1000 years.... after an unknown number of years inside the accelerated time-space, the world had rapidly changed.

Xander's space was covered by mud, rock, plants, and more soil, creating a small hill. Currently, he has done more than a hundred billion cycles. He was now able to cycle his cultivation technique passively, each cycle completed in under 2 seconds.

However, passive cultivation will not improve elemental comprehension and will only increase magic and elemental energy stored within the body and the mind space, while continuously reinforcing the magic seeds and magic circles within the mind space, and also rapidly recover from any type of energy consumption or injury.

He opened his eyes once more and realized that his body's strength, resilience, elemental affinity had improved.

He moved a bit and the entire hill that was covering him immediately shattered, before being absorbed by his body and rapidly converted into pure magic energy.

During this period of time, every cycle was considered to be a completion of a Magic meditation session, allowing him to improve his understanding of the elements.

His overall comprehension of the Life-Death and Yin-Yang elements had also increased by 5% each, which wasn't much as he felt he reached a temporary bottleneck in deriving and understanding these two origin element pairs.

His overall comprehension of Order and Chaos elements had improved by 2% each, while Space-Time elements improved only by 2%. The growth of these two were already beginning to slow down.

It was as he had expected since, during the deep meditation, he didn't just focus on one element, nor did he focus on just a representation of a certain element, or a rule it controlled or presided over, but rather on the overall understanding of the origin elements.

Most likely, if he did the same Magic meditation again, the effects would be weaker unless Xander has items that can boost his comprehension nearby.

He then checked his current status, hoping to see some changes in his attributes and comprehension levels.

He was happy about the change in his attributes; for one, they were now higher than his peers, around 50% higher. As long as he continues building his cultivation skill, his body attributes won't lag compared to others.

Weirdly, however, was that his vitality had broken the current limit the system could calculate, but he could only see a 1 at the end. He wasn't sure if it just increased 1 point or more than that. Another good thing he discovered was that his magic energy reserve was to the point he could cast [Twilight Sonata] once in an area of 1,000 light-years.

That wasn't the only benefit of his cultivation skill, however. During the period of repeating Magic meditation, his body had begun absorbing nomological truths from the elements he had comprehended, allowing his body to be resistant to the elements based on his comprehension.

His body can already resist pseudo-spells made from Mythic rank spells or lower, receiving no damage or effect at all. He wondered if his comprehension continued to improve as well as the absorption of his body of nomological truths, he could one day be immune to Advanced and Legendary rank spells, or even Mythic rank spells, once he reached Legendary class.

Although these benefits might seem a big deal for Xander, it wasn't in the wider scheme of things; the universe has an abundance of God cultivators who had created their own God rank spells and some of the ancient, powerful families had all their most talented, heavenly gifted descendants use God rank spells of their ancestors or others as their pseudo-spells. However, he could at least say that he was at par with some cultivation geniuses in the universe.

He canceled the time acceleration around the planet, letting the time sync with the universal time. The concentrated elemental particles and energy rapidly dispersed all over the planet, but due to the high concentration, a few even turned from gaseous to liquid form, while others took it a step further and began to solidify, forming elemental crystals of varying degrees of purity.

However, Xander was merely waiting, before reverting the time using [Time Reversal], returning the planet's time exactly it was before, added with a few seconds. The elemental particles rapidly whisked out of existence, and the plants, animals, and insects that died came back to life, with the beings born at this period returning to nothingness again.

This was to avoid the backlash from the Universe from strengthening and obliterating him. After all, the lifeforms he accelerated or already present did not have intelligence or the concept of souls within them, before his interference.

For some reason, unlike in Eteria, he felt some sort of pressure affecting him beyond the stars when the creatures and lifeforms on the planet started to develop intelligence, causing him to revert his actions. However, it wasn't a simple reversal.

It wasn't the kind of [Time Reversal] when he did it to individual targets; it was an AoE spell this time, and it felt like Xander was rolling the films back to the very beginning, forcing the film below to match the film movement above.

Why even use this analogy? Well, Xander didn't randomly select a planet. Using his spells, he peeked into the time and saw a mysterious phenomenon that he had not observed in other individual targets.

The future of the planet was clearly etched in stone, showing two main branches: Life or no life.

However, as time passed, the branch of the latter became fuzzier and more translucent, while the former began to develop a simple path, unlike other sentient creatures.

It was like watching a film, seeing the growing single-celled to multi-cellular complex organisms appearing as time flew by.

The weird thing is that there was no divergence in this future. In the next 50 million years, everything was set in stone.

In other words, time was already set in this place, his appearance and modification of time led to what would be to be into being. Without his interference, those that came to being would appear in no less than 10,000,000 years, as there was already groundwork for it. The plant life and creatures that appeared during acceleration was simply brought about at an accelerated pace; what Xander corrected was returning it all to its original current state.

Of course, he didn't plan on leaving without giving something in return. As he had deepened understanding of the elements, Karma was one of the annoying ones to note of.

A major milestone happening on a deserted exoplanet may be something to "not worry repaying" for most people, but Xander wasn't most people. He had control over time and space, his lifespan extending to the limits of infinity. A period of time in which karma can be formed, from a planet that had experienced ages of time passed.

From there, karmic connections are also formed from the creatures that would rise from this planet once he had left and returned time to normal, but did not reverse it. Although these would be faint and easy to break, well imagine if the lifeform on this planet expanded in population. A quantitative change can lead to a qualitative upgrade.

A planet and its population would have karmic bonds entangled with him, and will not be resolved until he returns to resolve it. Why risk it? He planned to resolve the karma or possible karma at the start, when it was simply the planet alone.

After the two "films" were at sync and moving at the same time, Xander erased any traces he might have left on the planet, before leaving some gifts into the planet itself as a way to pay the karma he would possibly receive, and hurriedly teleported back to his room.

The gift was quite simple, as it was an aggregate of various metals and minerals, improving the diversity and quality of ground of the exoplanet. At the same time, he also let loose several tens of varying seeds of plants, magical and non-magical plants, improving floral diversity and shortening the evolutionary chain process.

Lastly, he also placed five large, elemental crystal deposits of the 5-elements of Water, air, fire, wood, earth/metal, ensuring abundant elemental energy reserves for the planet for the next million years, improving the cycle and production of elements in the planet, hence hastening the evolutionary process of lifeforms to develop intelligence and sentience.

If even with this that Karma he had with this place is not resolved, the karma borne would be karma to be repaid to him, rather than the other way around.

However, something was different. There was a problem during his process of acceleration.

It didn't completely follow the process he had set.

He was detected to have left the planet for 14 days, or 2 weeks, already. This was in reference to Universal Time as well, so he might have been carried away to have accelerated time by more than 12 million years in the planet. No wonder he had been receiving an internal warning that the power of the universe was about to descend.

Xander thought to himself, "the power of the universe itself does not reject accelerated time, but does so in the presence of the myriad possibilities of sentient life forms."

"The most probable reason of receiving the warning was that the planet's natural course is nearing its first major divergent point, and my appearance will destroy the planet's original "time film" from coming into reality, hence producing a chain-effect that is currently beyond my power, unless I can comprehend the ability to cut and excise the 'time' and 'space' of this planet, as well as the 'karma' related to it from the universe."

Upon realizing this, he shook his head. It was too much trouble at this point. If he remained any longer with the accelerated time, the film produced will be destroyed, creating an alternate film from scratch, which would then lead to new divergent possibilities, indicating the production of a new collection of temporal sandboxes in the universe of the "what-if" possibility

However, no one was alarmed as there were no classes at this period of time. Most of his classmates had significantly improved from before.

He was now considering what to do for his breakthrough to Legendary class.

Having a primary element of space-time, he only needed to select 2 representations, 1 for each element.

Having a 27% total comprehension was not to say that the representations of space and time elements were only understood 27%. It just means that the easier concepts/representations had been understood and deduced completely, while others are still unknown or have a very, very low understanding of.

He tried focusing on the space-time comprehension percentage, hoping he could get a breakdown of the representations. To his surprise, he was able to do so, which made him more at awe with what the System can do and the God that designed it.

[Space-Time Element

Total comprehension: 27%

Representations unlocked: 96/108

Space representations: 48/54

Time representations: 48/54]

When he selected to view the Space representations, a list showed with the corresponding percentage.

He had noticed some representations were already nearly perfect, some were quite low, with a few being very, very close to zero in terms of comprehension. If he selected any of the representations of Space that was already 100%, he would be considered Legendary-9 if the representation of the Time element was also more than 30%.

When he checked the Time representations, a similar list popped out, albeit with some... glitches? There were some representations that were shown near the top, but had a "??" value, indicating the System may not have the capacity to quantify it, or that it has no sufficient data to build it up.

Upon seeing the two lists, Xander now had to compare which one was the best combination between Space and Time element, since it would also determine the domain he would create in Mythic Class.

Dimensionality and alternate reality: Maybe I could form a domain that can trap people into a samsara cycle whoever enters it? That sounds risky and boring. Not only that, but he also has a spell for that already.

Wait, how about superimposition and alternate reality? This seems to be a good combination. He could probably generate a domain that can cause their alternate selves from a different timeline to superimpose to their existence, replacing their data. But he can already do this to someone using [Timeline Superimposition] though.

Agh, I'll think about this next time, Xander thought to himself. He headed to his bed and lay down and closed his eyes, falling asleep.

The last thoughts he had was whether the mystery peeper looking at his residence at a distance since a week ago would fall into a trap he had set, hehe.
