Karanosi wiped the corner of his mouth before setting his napkin onto the table beside his empty plate. To his right was Ven, Andy, and Strativar, to his left, Kyurn, Xial, and Baasdefen, with Mae directly across the table at the other end.

"That was superb," he exclaimed as he rubbed at his stomach that was filled with his fair share of the braised antufet ribs and half a dozen side dishes. "I haven't had ribs so tender since the last time you made them."

"I'm glad you enjoyed them. I've been marinating them since yesterday. And thanks to Baas, we are going to have stuffed Pufoqui for dinner."

"I merely picked up the ingredients," Baas replied, leaning on the table as he picked up his drink. "The idea and the recipe came from Andy."

"You weren't supposed to tell them that," Andy muttered, turning away to hide his blush.
