Chapter | One

As he succumbs to the sedative feeling of his bed, Taehyung let's out a soft sigh, not wanting to let go of that relaxing moment. It's moments like these that his thoughts normally betray him, and it forces him to overthink.

But who wouldn't overthink? After all, he is being forced to start a new life. A life that he didn't ask for, but somehow he has the responsibility to keep going, not give up, no matter how much he wanted to.

He heard his beeping alarm go off, and once again, he only got five minutes of rest, just like the past few nights. Since he and his mother moved to Seoul three days ago, he hasn't been able to sleep at all.

The strain of going to a new school has been stressing him out more than it needed to. Trying to get a grip on himself, he got out of bed, planting his feet onto the cold floor, wincing lightly at the icy contact.

He walks to his small bathroom, letting his clothes fall off his body effortlessly as he gets ready to take a shower. Getting under the showerhead, he lets the warm water fall over his body, relieving all his stress, bent up anger and sadness.

After about ten minutes of showering  he got out and stood in front of the mirror. Sighing, he runs his hand across the mirror to make the steamy fog disappear. He scans his small body in the mirror, his eyes trailing over his pectorals to flat abdomen and over all his curves.

He leaned forward into the mirror, his damp, shadowy brown hair almost covering his eyes. His parted, plump and pinkish lips letting out soft breaths as he lets his emotions take over. He stared into the mirror, getting lost as he stares into his darkish eyes that had a black reflection in the dim light, trying to find some sort of assurance in himself, that his day would go by smoothly.

Sighing, he grabbed a towel and covered his body from the waist-down. He got out of the bathroom and sighed for the umpteenth time, feeling the cold air hit his damp body. He didn't like the cold all that much, and yet, he loves the Winter snow. The scenery always looked so magical to him.

After doing his morning routine, he put on his new and very stoic school uniform, which was required for all the boys to wear at the new boarding school that his mother enrolled him in. He adjusted the suit-like uniform, which was pitch-black, had a darkish tie to go with the black shoes and the almost-too-tight pants.

Taehyung would be lying if he said he didn't like how his ass looked in those pants.

Checking himself one last time his his full-length mirror, he left his room and went down the stairs of his new house, feeling a bit relieved when he received a suffocating hug from his very supportive and overly peppy mother.

"Morning," he mumbled and he pulled away from the hug. His mother smiled softly and kissed his cheek.

"Enjoy your day. I love you," she said softly as she felt her heart swell when she saw how quickly her sixteen-year-old boy grew up.

Taehyung hesitantly returned a small smile, making his mother almost shed tears, much to Taehyung's distaste, since she makes such a weird face when she wants to cry.

"Love you, mom," he mumbled back, and with that he grabbed his black backpack from the sofa in the living room and swung it over his shoulder, taking one second to part his hair slightly – wanting to look at his best for his first day at school.

Making his way out of the house, he kissed his mother's cheek, leaving her to gush in motherly fondness.

School has always been nothing but a liability to Taehyung. He would always find himself lost his his own meaningless thoughts during lessons, not even bothering to listen to the very frustrated teachers in front of him.

His school back in Daegu was no where near as fancy and organized as this new one that he was currently eyeing.

It was a very elegant boarding school, that mostly consisted of a lot of rich people, which explains a lot.

Walking down the hall, Taehyung kept his head low  ignoring the unwelcoming stares he got. Suddenly, there was a flash of light and a 'click' sound. His eyes grew wide and he looked up, only to see a cheerful boy with bright red hair, smiling luminously at the camera in his hands.

The boy was way too cheerful at 07:45 in the morning. His smile seemed to suite the cheerful and happy aura he had, his heart-shaped smile seemed to light up that gloomy hallway. His brown eyes twinkled with excitement, only to have it replaced with fear when he heard Taehyung clear his throat.

Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows and stepped forward, keeping his natural cold expression on his face. He stretched his hand out and motioned for the smiling boy to give him the camera. The boy looked dumfounded, and his smile stretched into an awkward one as he hesitantly handed Taehyung the camera.

"U-Um...dude I'm sorry- I'm just part of the news club and you are kind of the biggest topic of the school this week..." mumbled the redhead sheepishly as he fumbled with his slender fingers. Taehyung looked up, his intense gaze making the redhead want to cower away, fearing he might get beaten up. After all, he did take the picture without consent.

Taehyung handed him the camera and clicked his tongue.

"It looks good. Just- don't make the headlines something embarrassing," he said in a dismissive tone as he handed the redhead the camera, causing the smiling boy to beam.

"Of course!" he said with a wide smile.

Taehyung nodded and started to brush pass the boy, only to stop in his tracks when he heard the boy call out to him.

"Hey! My name's Hoseok, nice to meet you," said the boy as he reached his hand out for a handshake.

Taehyung turned around and glanced blankly at the redhead, then at his outstretched hand, then back at him. This made Hoseok smile awkwardly as he thought Taehyung was going to blow him off. But instead, Taehyung took his hand and shook it lightly, actually liking the contact because the redhead's hand was really soft.

He opened his mouth to speak, and Hoseok made himself ready to hear the deep and intimidating voice that Taehyung possessed.

Taehyung licked his chapped lips lightly and let a very tiny smile fall to his lips.

"I'm Taehyung."

°°°

He wasn't sure how it happened, all he knew was that he was totally fine where he was right now. Sighing softly in content, Taehyung listened as his new friend continued to babble about this very proper school.

Earlier that morning, after he walked away from Hoseok, Taehyung didn't expect to encounter him again, but when he arrived at his first class - late, of course - he saw the smiling boy at the back of the class, waving him over.

With eyebrows furrowed, Taehyung made his way to the back of the classroom, offering the redhead a small smile, leaving Hoseok shocked.

"I thought you couldn't smile, the fuck!?" asked Hoseok softly in an overly dramatic tone that made Taehyung want to roll his eyes, so badly, but he refrained, trying to be as nice as he can.

"I can smile. I just...don't do it all the time," said Taehyung softly as he turned around, attempting to seem focused on the lesson. He had to turn around again when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Taehyung raised his brow questioningly when he saw the redhead's beaming face.

"Yes?" he hummed enquiringly.

"You wanna join me at lunch?" asked Hoseok hopefully, his peppy mood beginning to get too much for the tired Taehyung.

Furrowing his eyebrows, looking more intense than he attempted to, he nodded and that just made an even brighter smile settle on Hoseok's features.

And that was how he now found himself in the schools rather large cafeteria, with Hoseok, reluctantly listening to him talk.

The cafeteria was large - ten times bigger than Taehyung's room - it had his stoic ambiance and it wasn't very colourful. It had many, many tables for the hundreds of students at the school. Even outside the cafeteria were some tables, for those students who wanted to escape the judgemental gaze of everyone in that place.

Well, at least everyone wasn't so bad. There was Hoseok, after all.

As he rested his face on his soft palm, Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows as he felt the need to look around the cafeteria, unintentionally tuning out Hoseok's babbling about the news club.

Taehyung's attention was immediately stolen when he saw two people come through the cafeteria's large doors.

There was one boy, he was a little shorter than Taehyung, his bleached mint coloured hair immediately stood out, along with his sleepy, dazed, black eyes and his parted, reddish lips.

Alongside him walked a girl with short blonde hair, her boyish look suiting the smirk that played on her full, plump and reddish lips.

Taehyung's eyebrows raised in awe, because these two people were undeniably good-looking.

His focus in them didn't last long when three other people came strolling through the doors. Taehyung was now fully turned around, not even caring that his gaze on them wasn't even subtle anymore.

There was another boy, he was very tall, his broad shoulders along with his intense expression was enough to intimidate anyone. He had bleached, blonde hair that suited his dark eyes that were completely focused on nothing. His eyes held more behind them, and it was something that Taehyung couldn't quite figure out.

Next to the tall male was a petite girl, her long brown hair flowing effortlessly with every step she took. A few books were clutched tightly to her chest as she licked her chapped reddish lips, and adjusted the glasses that almost masked her black and lifeless eyes. She didn't look any less dazed than the blonde boy.

Taehyung swallowed the lump in his throat, trying to take his gaze away from these people, but soon another tall male caught his attention.

This guy was walking next to the petite girl, he was also really tall, his broad shoulders not really suiting the small smile that played on his plump, reddish lips. His aura seemed to be less intimidating, but that didn't mean that Taehyung wasn't intimidated by him.

Taehyung kept his gaze on them until they took their seats with the first two people. They started conversing and Taehyung finally snapped out of his curious daze and turned around.

He saw Hoseok eating his food silently, and just then he realised he hadn't even listened to him this whole time. Taehyung hissed softly when Hoseok looked up, but to his utter surprise there was a small smile playing on his lips.

"You got a little distracted there, I see," he said as he swung his kimchi in Taehyung's direction, much to Taehyung's dislike.

Taehyung huffed and nodded softly, finally letting his curiosity get the best of him.

"Sorry that I didn't quite hear you. They just got me a little...curious." mumbled Taehyung softly and Hoseok chuckled.

"Yeah, the Jeons tend to do that to people sometimes," he said as he stuffed his face with more kimchi, making Taehyung scrunch his nose in disgust.

"The Jeons?"

"Yep! You see the one with the green hair," mumbled Hoseok with a pause causing Taehyung to nod his head, and Hoseok continued, "his name is Yoongi. And the girl next to him, that's Lisa. I know, they look...intense," said Hoseok and he shivered dramatically, this going unnoticed by Taehyung as he subtly glanced back over his shoulder, towards the table by the large windows, where they sat.

"The guy with the blonde hair, that's Namjoon. The one next to him is Jennie, she's really sweet," said Hoseok with a chuckle as he remembered the moment the girl lent him her pencil in chemistry class.

"And the other tall one is Jin. He's really chill."

Taehyung nodded his head as he took in everything Hoseok said. Then, just when he wanted to continue his lunch time in peace, the cafeteria doors swung open, and his eyes immediately snapped to them.

In that moment, everything seemed to move in slow motion, his breath was rigid and a small blush spread across his soft cheeks. Taehyung's slightly parted lips let out soft puffs as he didn't care about being subtle anymore.

The main reason, was the boy who entered the cafeteria.

He was indeed a heavenly sight.

As he walked into the cafeteria, his slightly parted and overgrown, black hair swayed effortlessly, illuminating his sharp features. From his round, dark, doe-like eyes, to his thin, plump, reddish and very kissable lips.

The focused gaze he had held more behind it than Taehyung could have ever imagined.

Taking his seat at the table with Yoongi and the others, the raven-haired boy let a very small smile fall to his features, almost causing Taehyung to fall out of his seat.

His heartbeat became faster and that made him force himself to look away. Taehyung sighed and held his head low, ashamed that he stared for so long.

He heard Hoseok laugh at him softly, and it took all of Taehyung's sanity not to just be impolite and snarl at him.

Letting his breathing calm down, Taehyung leaned over the table and fiddled with his kimchi and looked up at Hoseok.

"H-Hoseok..." he mumbled and Hoseok hummed questioningly as he raised his eyebrows.

"W-Who was t-that last guy?" asked Taehyung softly, mentally cursing at himself for his small and timid voice. He hated it when he was shy, it was number two on the list of things that he hates about himself.

Directly under: Nervous Giggling, which he only did when he was too shy for words.

He heard Hoseok chuckle again and he looked up, only to almost scowl at the smirk that played on the older's lips.

"Well he's also a Jeon..." said Hoseok, intending to tease Taehyung further, causing the younger to finally whip out his scowl.

Hoseok raised his hands in defeat and chuckled nervously.

"Well if you really must know..."

Taehyung almost groaned aloud when Hoseok made his little dramatic pause.

"That's Jeon Jungkook."
