What a Massive.. Bed.. You Have (I have added 1000 words about her time at Blades house to show the progression of their relationship and that they had more than a few stolen kisses) ****

Two weeks had passed since Blade and I had our little 'chat' about our relationship and they had been full of awkward silences!

Having moved in with Blade we had ended up spending a lot of time together and I had been sure that our relationship was more than just sexual but after those long silences I was certain that that was all we had ever had. Lust.

However, during the last couple of days we had fallen back into our old camaraderie and spent our reconnaissance missions joking and laughing. He hadn't made any passes at me and I think we had successfully transitioned into being friends!

We were on our next mission, this time checking out a property that was within City A but seemed unlikely to be our target which is why we hadn't checked before. This was a property that was registered under my mother's name, an abandoned house, it's gardens overgrown and thorny. It was like a horror movie come to life and I was not ashamed to say I wasn't looking forward to entering the property!

Blade, super cautious as always, was making us sit in the car to ensure there was no one around. Today's disguises were ridiculous and every time I looked at Blade I cackled in delight.

He was wearing a chin length black wig but Lane had put some kind of gel in it so it looked greasy and lanky. He was also wearing a pair of round spectacles and Lane had convinced him to let her cover his face in freckles using an eyeliner pencil! His clothes were a beige tracksuit and 80s style white sneakers. I was wearing a white blonde wig that Lane had put in a ballerina style bun on top of my head and dark blue coveralls like a mechanic would wear, open with a white T-shirt underneath. Lane had smeared black oil on my face as well.. basically we were all having a bit of fun with the disguises!

Blade rolled his eyes when I looked at him and snort laughed for the fiftieth time.

"Paybacks a bitch baby.. I'm picking your next disguise.."

I just stuck my tongue out at him as something had caught my eye and meant I didn't have the brain power to come up with a witty reply.

"Blade.. who is that?"

Looking to where I pointed Blades face scrunched up and he grabbed the binoculars I had ridiculed him mercilessly for bringing and brought them up to his eyes.

"The fuck?"

He passed me the binoculars without saying I told you so, instead looking very serious and my stomach dropped. Focusing on the dark figure who had just exited the property and was now making their way down the front walk I was flabbergasted to see my mother!

"That doesn't mean anything Blade! I mean it's registered under her, maybe she was checking her investment?"

I knew I was grasping at straws but I really didn't want to think that my mum could have anything to do with what happened to Flora.

"We're jumping to conclusions because the house looks scary as shit! We don't even know if this is the property Flora came to so your mum may be completely innocent. Let's go in and check it out."

"You're right.. should we call Lane and Nate to meet us here?"

"Nah not yet, let's look around first and then decide."

We exited the car and when Blade grabbed my hand I let him.. the support was needed. Walking up the front walk we were having to dodge waist high nettles and thorns and I swear I heard the squeak of a rat!

Reaching the front door Blade took care of getting it open using a credit card - who knew that actually worked - and the door creaked open ominously.

Turning on our torches and once again holding hands we stepped into the Horror House.
