...

Hojo laughed sarcastically.

Indeed, the conversation between the brothers never went smoothly. There were just sarcastic remarks that Hojo or Juro threw at each other. Even this time no one was willing to budge.

"Wait, you didn't mean to ask me to be the boy's tutor, did you?" said Juro in a dramatic voice.

"Right. You guessed right. And I wouldn't repeat it 100 times, would I?" Hojo said calmly.

"What do you mean?" shouted Juro not understanding.

"Hm, although I know your brain capacity is smaller than your muscles you also have to understand one thing a teacher is a teacher. There is no other term that can define a teacher as a person who teaches something to others. Where is your incomprehension, Juro?" growled Hojo closing his eyes again.

Juro was silent for a few minutes. His eyes bulged in disbelief.

"Dude, don't think I'm stupid. Even though I'm not as intelligent as you, I'm still the number one knight." Juro doesn't like it when his older brother insults him based on facts.

Because the facts are much crueler than the rumors. Juro never cared about other people's chatter, except for Hojo's chatter. An overly concerned older brother uses words instead of deeds.

Juro always calls Hojo by the nickname 'talky teacher mother. Then, Hojo would get angry when Juro made fun of him with that nickname. Indeed, their mother died when Juro was only three years old. And it was Hojo who raised Juro because their father was busy fighting as a hero.

Many unpleasant memories make Hojo always insulted for raising Juro. The responsibility that should be carried out by his father must be taken over by Hojo. Hojo doesn't want Juro to live with the misfortune of not having a mother.

However, what hurts the most was that Hojo had to leave his biggest dream behind. The dream of becoming a superhero like his father was forced by Hojo to throw it away for Juro's sake. In the end, Hojo dedicated his life to being a teacher at the Herculean Academy after Juro was accepted into the school.

"Don't force me to bring up the past, little brother. As an honorable knight, you must learn to educate one student. You also have to be able to restrain yourself and the emotions that overflow when your wishes don't come true. I never raised you as a spoiled child. So please help me help others. Do you understand?" Hojo let out a long sigh.

Vin was still in the late stages of the 'New Awakening' and had not fully regained consciousness. Hojo also couldn't allow Juro to mistreat Vin by mocking him as a weak and helpless kid. The life that Vin lived was crueler than the life that Hojo or Juro had ever experienced.

At least they still have a responsible father. As a superhero who is busy at war, the family finances are never short. They, even though they are still small, know that having a lot of money is much better than having no money at all. Even though their father is busy, that doesn't mean their father forgets the role of parents.

If the opportunity arises and when their father returns from the war, Hojo and Juro will be spoiled by taking them to the Amusement Park. However, what happened with Vin or Vera was the opposite of their lives.

Lost parents as a child. Living in poverty and despair is a daily life that Vin has to live when he can't control his superpowers. Just imagining what Hojo couldn't do. Because of that feelings of compassion and wanting to help automatically are created when they see Vin and Vera.

"Well. All right, my big brother. Where is the boy who should be my disciple?"

"Vin is still unconscious. But if you're curious you can come to the room. See for yourself the child. You'll be able to judge right away."

Without replying to Hojo's words, Juro walked towards the guest room. The room no wider than three by three meters reminded Juro of Hojo's study room which had been converted into a guest room.

The boy named Vin was lying on the bed gasping for breath as if he was struggling in dreamland. Vin's lips twitched from a fever that didn't go down. Reflexively, Juro's right hand approached and fell on Vin's forehead.

"Scorching hot. Exactly what power do you have, skinny boy?" mumbled Juro.

"Telekinesis. And a few days ago his power exploded. One of the most wanted criminals by the police died instantly. What do you think? Much more brutal than when you ran amok at school, right?"

"No wonder, his thin body can't take that much power. Hojo, do you have any idea how dangerous it is to harbor this obscure little boy?" Juro grumbled raising one eyebrow.

"That's what you should find out, Juro. You are the most reliable information seeker." Hojo chuckled but with a worried tone.

"Not only did you force me to be this child's personal tutor, but you also asked me to find information about his family?" shouted Juro annoyed.

"I already know his family background. However, there are a few things you should make sure of. Because I don't have that access. Only a great knight like you can do that."

"What exactly are you talking about?" Juro hissed following Hojo back to the library.

"A strange accident has killed both of his parents. Other than his uncle who abandoned him after getting the inheritance, I can't figure it out. His father's name is Edgar and his mother's name is Violet. The little Alamba family falls apart after Edgar and Violet receive a mission from a V&E company. You know who the head of that company is, right?"

"Mr. Cruz? The most ambitious person who wants mass exploitation of superhuman genes? Why do his parents work in that horrible place?"

"Back then, Mr. Cruz didn't have as big of ambition as he does now. However, after both of Vin's parents died in an accident, Mr. Cruz began to change. The madman became even more insane. Like a mad dog whose leash is loose."

"You mean Vin's parents played a big part in Mr. Cruz's mental health, don't you?"

"That's what you should find out, Juro. I can't come to a definite conclusion based on past rumors. However, the strangest thing is that Uncle Vin seems to have disappeared into the earth after receiving a very large inheritance. You should also find out about this, understand?" Hojo whispered because he didn't want his voice to reach Vin's ears.

Even though Vin was fighting with his new powers, his ears could still hear some sounds. Hojo didn't want Vin's mind to be burdened with unproven news. However, Hojo couldn't hide such a story from Juro, his younger brother.

"I understand. Hojo, the task you asked for this time is very heavy. Aren't you afraid that your only brother's safety is being threatened?" snorted Juro with a serious face.
