Wand Fusion

Looking deep into the Mirror of Erised, Oz saw his own figure staring back. In the reflection, he was an adult with sharp features. He looked all powerful, his purple eyes in the mirror gleamed with an intense power. compared to the ones he had right now they were mountains above in both power and intensity. His bodies build looked tyrannical in a way, like he was a human dragon. His hair was still mostly dark black, however there was a purple streak that cut through the middle.

Oz never really took notice of his own appearance much, as a matter of fact he never cared. He only ever focused on growing stronger and making sure that this world was heading in the right direction he wanted. Looking at this adult version of him though that was formed from his own desire to be stronger, he felt a strong want to look like this. Behind the adult version of Oz was a multitude of different dragons that were looking at him in reverence and to his side there was a woman, although he couldn't make out the facial features or anything. Seeing this surprised Oz as he never had any drive for companionship, at least not at this moment at all. However, it seemed in amongst his deepest desire he did desire a partner in life. Sadly, the mirror didn't show who this partner was.

It took Oz a couple minutes before he could tear his gaze away from the mirror. Seeing your own deepest desires really left the heart allured. If his will was any weaker he might have just sat down and stared into the mirror for hours.

'This is only my deepest desire... Its not how everything will actually turn out. However, seeing my deepest desire formulated in front of me just makes me want to achieve it that much more...'.

Content with himself and his vision, Oz left the room with Harry floating behind him. He had a long walk ahead of him.

.

"So you're telling me Mr. Potter just randomly fainted while you two were awake late in the Slytherin dungeons? Ambrosius, surely you don't believe me to be stupid!?".

Having arrived at the hospital ward, Oz handed Harry over to Madam Pomfrey who was grilling him hard on what had happened to the boy. Harry's wellbeing was a sensitive topic with teachers due to Dumbledore's coddling of him so with Oz bringing a fainted and injured Harry to her, she was vehemently demanding a proper explanation.

"Madam Pomfrey... I promise you this is what happened. We were practicing spells and one rebounded on him causing him to faint. As you can see by the fact he's magically exhausted with some injuries...".

Maybe it was due to all of the exhaustion of the night, but Oz was having a really difficult time spinning a believable story to Pomfrey. She glared daggers at him before sighing deeply.

"Ill believe you for now... I will have to inform Dumbledore about this however, so be prepared to be questioned".

Hearing this Oz smirked internally.

'That man knows more about this situation than me, like he will reprimand me when he was actually the main cause'.

Oz nodded politely to Madam Pomfrey before heading off. There was one thought in his mind at this time, something he wanted to do before the morning.

'Finally... with a catalyst I can fuse my wands together. There's only one place I can go to that'll allow me to do it in peace at this time...'.

With this last thought, Oz headed straight to the Room of Requirement.

.

Opening the doors to the RoR and stepping in, Oz entered into the vast room who desired. There was no need for training mechanics, only a room so big that it could contain any sort of burst of power that would be created due to this fusion ceremony.

Oz walked into the middle of the room before searching his mind for the notes on wand fusion and after reviewing what Merlin had left behind a couple times, he began his ritual.

Putting both wands a couple feet apart from each other on the floor, he faced them towards each other as if they were about to enact a wand struggle. In the centre between the wands, he placed the philosophers stone. After setting everything up, he walked over to the philosophers stone and with a small knife he had packed for emergencies, pricked his finger open dropping blood onto the stone. The stone responded with a deep glow, the blood that was absorbed by the stone would help the wands know what they were fusing with.

'Everything's ready... Now for the incantation'.

Oz's heartrate increased as he was reaching the moment of fusion. He only had one chance to get this right. If this ritual was done poorly, there was a chance that he ruin all three components included in the ritual. He'd become wandless and stoneless.

Holding both his arms out, his will strengthened as his mind pulsated with the thought of making the best wand for him. Feeling ready he uttered the incantation.

{Baculum Magicum Fusione!}

To Oz's surprise his dragons blood reacted to his will again, translating the incantation to dragon-tongue. As he chanted the spell he felt his magic flow out of him like a dam that had broken. He held on as both wands and the stone floated into mid air.

The wands circled the stone whilst staying perfectly in parallel from each other as the stone glowed radiantly. Seconds later both wands shot out a beam, from his yew wood wand a stream of black gushed out towards the stone and from his walnut wand, a stream of white. As the two streams of magic hit the stone, the stone reacted violently glowing even brighter. At this point Oz's magic was draining even more rapidly, even to the point where he felt his consciousness starting to slip.

'I can't loose focus now...'.

As the wands were spinning around the stone, both shooting a beam towards it, they started to close in on the stone quickly. They spun faster and faster as they got closer to the stone and finally just as the two wands came in contact with the stone, an extremely violent burst of magic shook the RoR. The burst was so violent that Oz wouldn't be surprised if the whole of Hogwarts was woken up by it.

The burst itself made Oz loose his footing as he flew back. Even throughout this he kept his hands up and allowed the fusion ceremony to take as much of his magic it needed. He slowly felt his vision blacking out as his magic was becoming more and more exhausted, almost to a dangerous level. Just as he was about to give up, the bright light engulfing the wands and stone finally dimmed down, leaving a floating wand in its place.

The wand itself seemed as if it was made up of two halves, both woods of either wand previously were present in the wand. At the intersection where the yew wood and walnut wood connected on his new wand, there were lines of purple. On the hilt of the wand Oz saw a small reddish-purple gem as well, which resonated with him perfectly. The wand slowly fell to the floor after finishing its lightshow.

Oz only caught a glimpse of his new partner before he passed out from exhaustion.

Due to his dragons blood reacting to his will, the wand fusion went much more violently than it normally would. If that didnt happen, he would have breezed through it. However, Merlin created the fusion ceremony so theres a chance that if done without dragon-tongue it would have been destined to fail. So while a lot more theatrical, this turn of events worked well for Oz.

Also the vision in the mirror. The mirror shows ones deepest desire and not the future so while Oz saw what he saw, his life isnt necessarily heading for that direction. Things can change.
