CHAPTER 26

KNIGHT

There will be a party and that party will be her day, I will announce her as my wife. Yes, I know I've been a terrible husband to her and I will make it up to her. Tomorrow is the launching of the new branch, and I would like to take that opportunity to announce the entire world about her being my wife.

Hindi naman atalaga siya ang secretary ko I don't want her to work, pinagbigyan ko lamang ang kanyang kahilingan and thank God hindi naman siya nakkahalata na medyo wala siyang giangawa dahil kalimitan sa pagiging secretary ay maraming ginagawa. May mga gumagawa ng kanyang mga responsibilities and that is my assistant Edward. Nilapagan ko din siya ng kaunting folders na eencode pero malayo pa naman ang deadline and I was surprise na natapos niya agad iyon sa isang upuan lamang.

Inaamin ko, nagseselos ako sa kanilang dalawa. Hindi ko naman ugaling magselos pero sa tuwing nakikita kong nakangiti at masaya si Alana kay Ash hidi ko mapigilan ang sarili ko na hindi maiinggit. Wala akong ibang binigay kay Alana kundi luha at sakit lamang, kailanman ay hindi siya nagsumbong kahit na may pagkakaton na siya noon. Matindi lang talaga ang galit ko sa kanya noon dahil hindi pa ako handa upang ikasal sa kahit na sino at dahil napahiwalay ako sa babaeng mahal na mahal ko noon.

But then I realize I love her already, I love Alana.

FLASHBACK

"Knight," isang malamig na boses ang tumawag sa akin at sa aking paglingon ay nakita ko si Ash na nakasandal sa pader at nakatingin sa akin.

"So you're not calling me kuya anymore, I wonder why?" I said as a smile cross in my lips, parang alam ko na kung saan ito patutungo.

"I guess now you do't deserve to be called like that. You are not my brother, iabng-iba ka na hindi ka naman ganyang dati. Why are you hurting her? You promised me you will not hurt her, you give me your word and I believe you that day. You know how much I love her way back into our school days and you know how she loves you. If you can't love her back then just give her some respect. Don't hurt her, nakita ko ang mga tinatago niyang mga pssa kahit na hindi niya sabihin sa akin. She used to tell me everything, but now it's different, she's different. Ibang-iba ang Alana na ang kaharap ko kanina, she's skinny, pale, walang kabuhay buhay ang kanyang mga mata. Alam mong mahal ko si Alana at kahit na masakit para sa akin na maikasal kayo ay tinaggap ko dahil wala namana kong magagawa dahil ikaw ang gusto niya, ikaw ang mahal niya. That should be me Knight, holding her hands, kissing her lips, making her love, touching her skin, cooking her favorite food, courting her every day, kissing her knuckles, watching her sleep, watchin her while taking a shower, taking pictures of her beautiful smile, making her laugh, giving her a hug and cuddle every night. That should be me that day wearing that black tuxedo waiting for her walking the aisle, watchng her with that beautiful white dress and she's holding her favorite flowers and wearing the smile. Sinayang mo lahat, you had the most precious gem on earth and yet you are wrecking her. Hindi kahit minsan napunta sa isip ko na makakaya mong saktan siya, oo siguro galit ka because you lost Samantha your first girlfriend. Marami ka ng naiplano para sa inyong dalawa but wake up. Samantha was cheating on your back but you keep being the blind person, you're pretending that you don't know it but you do," he longly stated at bakas sa kanyang mukha ang galit at lungkot.

"Shut up Ash, I know what I am doing. And I am paying for it, I am already making it up to her. Bumabawi na ako kay Alana. And there is no need for you to tell me that. Stay away from her from now on. Maghahanap ako ng bago kong modelo but don't worry, I'll pay for your time and for your professional fee base sa mga pinirmahan nating kontrata kahit na hindi mo ito tinapos. "I don't know you smoke," I whispered at tila narinig naman niya ito.

"You know a little about me, kuya," he answered and turn his heels away.

I will prove him wrong. Hindi niya makukuha si Alana sa akin, Akin lang ang asawa ko.
