Chapter 25

Adam knocked on my door, "Avery, my brothers are practicing. Want to join them?"

I got up, "Hmm, I haven't practiced in a while, I haven't practiced in a while I might be a little rusty."

Adam asked, "So are you going to come to practice or not? They are waiting."

I answered, "Yep, sure, just give me a minute, I need to put on better clothes for practice." I pulled off my clothes, yanking on more comfortable shorts and a t-shirt.

I opened the door, "Okay, I'm ready, let's go."

Adam skipped down the stairs, smiling, "Let's hurry up, my brothers are waiting."

We walked faster, well I did, Adam skipped along next to me.

When we finally made it to the room Adam opened the door, "Here she is!"

The brothers looked up, Alec muttered, "Finally, how long does it take to walk down here?"

Aiden whacked his head, "Be quiet, Alec, it is not like you get ready fast, I think she gets ready faster than you, with the amount of time you spend on your hair."

Alec rolled his eyes, "Dude, I like taking time on my hair so what? It takes hours to look this perfect." He gestured to his face. Hmm, it was indeed a pretty face.

I asked, "Can we start practicing now? Please? I need to practice, I'm getting rusty."

Ace nodded, "So, Avery. Which one of us do you want to fight? I'm the strongest, Aiden is the second strongest, and Alec is the third strongest and I'm pretty sure Adam doesn't want to practice, he never does. So, which one of us, Avery?"

I shrugged, "I guess I'll go with the weakest first, so, Alec your up."

Ace clapped him on the back, "Good luck, Bro. Hope she doesn't beat you up too much. Hahaha."

Alec walked up to me, "Ready to lose, Little Girl? Aiden, count us down, Bro."

Aiden nodded, "You know the rules right?" We both nodded, "Alright, 1 2 3 fight!"

We lunged for each other, within seconds Alec was on the ground, grunting.

Alec grunted out from the ground, "How? I didn't even see you move your arms."

I shrugged, "Maybe you're just slow."

Alec grunted again, "Can you let me up now?"

I nodded, letting him get up, "You lost."

Alec sighed, "I guess I did, how did you do that? You were so fast, I couldn't react in time."

I grinned, "I practice a lot, every day after school, I like practicing, it is fun."

Alec nodded, "I lost to you, again."

I stared at him, "What? Do you mean swimming? I thought we tied?"

Alec said, "Tying basically meant both of us lost."

I wrinkled my eyebrows, "I thought it meant both of us won."

Alec shrugged, "I guess you could look at it both ways, anyway." He looked over to his brother Aiden, "Yo, Bro. Are you ready to get you're a** kicked by Avery?"

Aiden shrugged, "We'll see, though she did wipe the floor with you." He cracked a smile, "That was very amusing to watch."

Alec rolled his eyes, "Bro, I'll be saying that to you after she kicks your a**, you a**"

Aiden smiles one of his small smiles again, "Sure, you can say whatever you want to about me if I lose, Brother." Aiden looked over at me, "Ready to fight again, Avery?"

I nodded, "Let's do this, someone count us down, please."

Adam said, "You know the rules, 1 2 3 fight!"

We lunged forward, our fight lasted for a few more seconds then the one with Alec did, by about 15 seconds, before Aiden was on his back.

I smiled, "Yeah, I won. Woo-hoo. Hehehehe."

Aiden was looked dazed, "Woah, I didn't know you could move so fast."

I grinned, "Yep, hehehe, I won." I turned to Ace, "Your turn, dude."

Ace smiled, which was just mostly showing me his teeth, "Yes, it is." He held out a hand, I shook it, "Too the best fighter."

I grinned, "Too the best fighter."

Ace nodded, "Alec, count us down."

Alec said, "Alright, you know the rules, 1 2 3 fight!"

And thus, began my fight with the eldest Darkwaters brother.
