The War Goddess and Her Evil Husband

Excerpt: I felt laughter bubble and erupt from my throat as I hissed. "Loki you son of a bitch, what is the meaning of all of this?" The man who laid under me erupted into just as maniacal laughter as his face brightened. His voice purred as he said laboriously. "Oh my dear! I can't believe that you seem to recognize me so quickly! I thought that I would hide myself so that there would be some suspense in our reunion. You are of no fun my dear. In this case, why don't we skip the pleasantries and just skip to the part of you taking your hands off my throat?" I laughed once more. I could kill him. I could kill him! I could finally kill this son of a bitch! Loki then slowly raised himself despite my vice-like grip on his throat and whispered in my ear. "As you know my dear, I do love to be choked but only in bed." ..................................................... Hjordos(Hiordos) was an esteemed war goddess who fought to represent the people when the Norse gods turned on them. The god of trickery, Loki then makes a deal with her. If she offers herself as a sacrifice, the Norse gods will stop the war and ensure peace for humans for all of eternity. Hjordos agrees and as Loki's sword enters her she realizes that she has been tricked. As Hjordos dies with Loki's laughter she vows that if she is reborn she would surely kill him. To her surprise Hjordos is reborn! But not as a war goddess, instead she is reborn as a weak empress who was poisoned to death by the emperor's concubines! As Hjordos adjusts to her new life she sees the people of the empire suffer from famine as the emperor indulges in women and wine. She takes it upon herself to rebel in order to save the very people that she sacrificed herself for in the past. This is a story with a badass female lead and a love triangle! Chapter 5: Straight out of Odr’s Land

I clicked my tongue in annoyance as I pulled my arm away from his snake-like grip. Loki pouted before walking back and sitting on his throne. Based on the memories of the human whose body I reside in, this bastard has been doing nothing to the people but overtax them and indulge in money, women, and wine. I sighed.

A piece of metal is always metal even if dipped in gold.

I clapped my hands and cleared my throat before turning to Arvis.

"Okay sir, why don't you lead the way to this renowned woman who the emperor speaks so fondly of?"

Arvis dipped his head before nodding. I smiled. He was quite the adorable individual. I then scowled as a familiar voice sang,

"Are you jealous, my empress?"

I shook my fist in frustration to stop my foul mouth to curse this man to the depths of Helvete. Now is not the time Hjordos.

"In your dreams in Asgard Loki."

Loki's chuckle filled my ears as I followed Arvis towards the door of the large room. I then stopped walking and pulled slightly on Arvis's armor. He stopped as well and cocked his head to the side as he slightly bent over to hear me.

How considerate! Better than that playboy of a god!

"Wait a second Arvis, I need Edgard to join us as well."

I then walked towards a shy Edgard who retracted from the sneers of his peers. The lot who were mocking him silenced at my dirty glare. Back in the day, my glare was known to bring havoc on the goblins and monsters.

Loki continued to watch amusingly as he motioned to the sole man who stood in the corner to pass over the large bottle of spirits.

I then smacked Edgard's back as he trembled even more. Loki spit out the wine that he was drinking as several chuckles rose in the room.

"Raise your head oh son of Grimr. You are of a family which is worth the praise."

Edgard looked at me in confusion before shaking his head.

"But your maje-"

"What have I told you to call me?"

"Well Miss Hjordos, I am but a mere commoner. I believe that what you have stated is not exactly true in the truest of statements."

I chuckled and smiled at him as a mother would for her son.

"The history that your family has is one which is rich enough to fill this room with decades worth of gold. Do not undermine the strength of history."

"Mizz Hiwordos!"

"GROW A COUPLE OF BALLS FOR ODIN'S SAKE!"

My name came out weird from his mouth as he sobbed. I patted Edgard's head and sighed. The crowd watched in shock at my sentence as Edgard stayed embraced to me. We then walked out of the large room with Arvis in the lead. As the door shut, I watched Loki grow blue in the face from anger. His fist slamming the throne as he yelled out something incoherent.

I then fell into a fit of laughter as I shut the door closed. A sobbing Edgard held on to me and a chuckling Arvis filled the corridor.

We must look like a bunch of crazy individuals straight out of Odr's(Norse god of madness) land.
