Wildfire

White House, Secret Room

"Mr. President, what are we doing?" A bald white man in an all-black suit asked while the president continued to push buttons on his computer.

"We are leaving John, to Cheyenne Mountain Complex." The president said without looking away from his computer.

"What! No, you cant. What about the quarantine?" John asked while trying to calm his shaking hands.

"It's not working John!" The president looked away from his computer and stood before walking to John and looking him in the eyes.

"Do you know how many people die a day around the world? Huh? Over one hundred and fifty thousand and rising fast. A day! I've tried to reason with the others but they wont listen, they dont want to kill the sick because they believe it can be reversed.

We have idiots in the government already talking about rights for the sick? Rights? For monsters? No, John, we are getting out of here while we still can.

I've just released command to send in the military and put the top general in command. Its free for all now John."

"Worst case." The president looked at John before sighing.

"They can always use sunset protocol."

Damon, The School

"Damon whats going on?" Cassie asked while yanking her wrist from Damon's hand after he had dragged her to his truck in the school parking lot.

"Get in." Damon hopped in his truck and saw Cassie get in as well.

Despite her confusion she also felt something wasnt right.

"You saw the video?" Damon asked while looking at Cassie who nodded.

"Something about a new drug or something." Cassie said though she didnt even believe it.

"Yeah something like that. Im gonna check for any red alerts when we get home, something isnt right." Damon said while starting his truck and speeding into the street were he finally saw some people scrambling into super markets and rushing out with water and toilet paper.

"Looks like some people have noticed it to." Cassie said blankly looking out at the city streets.

"Its an open secret. They know something is wrong but no one actually knows anything." Damon said remembering how shit went back in his last life.

The goverment knew about the disease that had spread around the world and killed millions but always tried keeping it on the down low and downplaying the disaster saying how it was no big problem and that the CDC was already working on a vaccine.

At least the government had tried to keep the casualty count low but issuing mask rules and curfews but of course people always thought they were above everyone else and still didnt wear mask and still went out after curfew.

So he didnt really blame the current government, even if they did come out with the news and tell everyone what was going on people would still be complete fucking morons and do their own thing.

Damon sped home before he and Cassie quickly took the elevator to their apartment.

"Pack a bag, and keep it light." Damon said to Cassie before walking into his room and shutting the door behind him.

Damon quickly went to the floor board next to his bed and used his finger nails to lift it up before looking into the little slot where he pulled out a black laptop.

"Here we go." Damon set the laptop on his bed and opened it up.

Ding!

A red triangle alert appeared on the black screen making him frown.

He clicked on it.

"Please announce access code." A womens robotic voice came from the laptop.

"Tango-6-3 Whiskey-1-6-9" Damon said and the screen stayed black but his uncles voice sounded out.

"Im not supposed to be telling anyone this but by the time youre hearing this itll already be to late.

I was on a op when I found the files.

Some kind of virus that the CDC had been studying for a few months now. Wildfire. The virus escaped a lab and is spreading around the world. By the time youve seen this everyone on earth wouldve already been infected.

If someone dies they turn into something else. The world is going to shit fast.

Go to the eagles nest.

You must survive at any cost. I love you.

And aim for the head"

Crrr! The Audio cut.

Damon stared blankly at the black computer screen but his thoughts were running at a thousand miles an hour.

'A disease where if someone dies they become a monster? Fucking awesome.' Damon rubbed his head.

He had always expected something might happen after being reincarnated into this world but after seventeen years he had began to expect nothing would happen.

But here it was. It had just taken a little longer then expected.

'Ive been preparing for this.' Damon rubbed his face and forcefully made himself shift into his survival mindset that he had been slowly growing with the help of his uncle since the day he was born.

All of the rules and laws that civilization had instilled into him, he began to forcefully suppress them.

Unfortunately when its survival of the fittest uncontrolled emotions can get you killed fast.

Once Damon felt that his mind was calmer and more focused he stood up before walking to his closet and opening it.

He quickly put on a black shirt with a golden buckle, a black trench coat, black pants and black gloves.

Moving all the clothes in his closet to the sides he left a space open in the middle where he carefully pulled out a huge piece of dry wall allowing him to see a dark open space full of weapons and ammo.

Damon slung a blacked out automatic Ar-15 over his shoulder. It was fully decked out with a suppressor, holo sight, extended mags, stock and grips.

He then a hung a basic pistol and K-Bar knife on the belt under his trench coat before grabbing the duffle bags full of weapons and ammo along with other millitary grade gear.

"Thank you uncle." Damon said before putting the black lap top in one of his bags and leaving his room.

"Cassie!" Damon yelled looking around the apartment

"Right here." Cassie came out of her room in a different black shirt with a leather jacket. On her back was a huge black backpack and in her hand was a black duffle bag.

"I thought I said light?" Damon said while rolling his eyes.

"Says the person carrying like five duffle bags and what even are those?" Cassie said while looking at the pile of boxes stacked near the elevator door.

"My stuff, now help me transport all of this to the truck." Damon said before turning around and scanning his eye for the elevator.

"Whatever you say boss." Cassie said while rolling her eyes. Although she had no idea what was going on, Damon was the only person in the world who she trusted.

She could still clearly remember the day Damon had killed her dad when he found him about to rape her.

From that moment Cassie knew Damon was someone she could trust with her life. Many people would say they would do anything for her but no one had ever killed for her.

And she had worried that Damon would get into trouble but his mysterious uncle came in and cleaned up the entire situation like it never even happened.

Her father had died in a car accident.

After that Damon had taught her how to protect herself and how to use guns and hunt along with a whole bunch of stuff that he said she needed to know.

Since the day Damon freed her from her father knew she would follow Damon anywhere, even to the pits of hell.
