The Walking Dead: Survivor

- The story of a man who got thrown into an apocalyptic world full with flesh eating undead, with some perks but no prior knowledge about the world other than it being a fictional work in his previous life by the name "The Walking Dead". - MC name is Logan 'David' Barrett or Logan Barrett for short, I will try to build his character and personality on the first 10-15 chapters at most, expect changes, but I won't change everything. because I wish for some things to remain the same. (No-Harem). - I am a big fan of The Walking Dead, and started recently rewatching it, so I though why not make a story of my own based on it. . . . . [disclaimer: I don't own anything other than my Main Character.]

Chapter 10

---{We Reached the 10th chapter!}---

While they were driving away from Atlanta, Dale's RV picked the most inconvenient moment to malfunction. And now everyone has to stop and wait until it's repaired.

Logan told Jim to bring the tool box and help Dale, and Glenn in fixing it. While the others wait around, and not wander further from the rest, while he went to search the road ahead and see if he can salvage anything from the abandoned cars.

He went a bit far until he couldn't see the others while looking around the cars, he found some things here and there, along with two fuel tanks with the capacity of 10 liters each.

Logan went back to the others, before long he noticed Rick trying to retreat stealthily. He gestures for the others to hide. Logan understood the meaning and facepalmed 'this is getting ridiculous.'

True to Rick's warning walkers start to become visible making their way between cars, Logan sighed and decided to take action, he  was a bit further than the rest so he was still out of the walkers sight.

He took a moment to relax and then brought two fingers inside his mouth and,

WHISTLE! WHISTLE!! WHISTLE!!!"

He began to whistle as loud as he can, which is louder than most people can, Which led to walkers hearing him loud and clear, thus gaining their undivided attention.

Walkers were passing by the RV which had Dale hiding atop it, while the two sisters crouched down inside its toilet and pushed the makeshift door. A walker got inside and started looking around which freaked out the two sisters, Andrea was trying to put her gun together quietly, while Dale watched from the roof. The walker got close to where they were hiding.

WHISTLE! WHISTLE!!

"!?!"

Whistling noise rang around, which gained the walker's attention who turned away and left the RV making the trio sigh in relief.

Outside everyone was going through an inner turmoil Carol failed to control herself as she was about to cry loudly, but Lori who was beside her pressed her hand over her mouth not allowing her to let out her cries.

Both women were scared, not for themselves, but for their children, who were hiding a little far from them under different cars.

Rick was looking at them and the kids trying to reassure them so they can keep quiet, hopefully it will be over soon.

Lucky for Jim, he was hiding inside the back of the truck as he was moving the weapons from the van as he told him, so when he noticed the others hiding he directly entered the back of the truck, and closed the door behind him.

Glenn and Shane were under another car with Shane gripping his shotgun, and Glenn had a handgun on his hand. The two were ready to take action if their cover was blown up.

Daryl skillfully sneaked between the cars, While saving T-Dog from a walker that came his way by shoving an arrow into the back of its head, since T-Dog cut himself badly when he tried to avoid being seen, he was losing a lot of blood, barely hanging on his consciousness.

WHISTLE! WHISTLE!!

A continuous, and loud whistling was heard all around. It drew the walkers attention in its direction, and also gave the group a momentary surprise which broke them out of their fear.

Everyone heard Logan's voice loud and clear.

"C'mere! Follow me.!!" Logan yelled as loud as he could.

He made himself visible to the walkers and made sure to be as loud as possible for the walkers on the back to hear and not stray from the rest.

""Urgh!..groghrgh!!..."" the walkers growled and focused on him.

Logan stood in place to let them get close before casually walking in front of them, but making sure he was a few feets ahead.

"Come this way!" Logan Continued yelling nonsense to keep the walkers focused on him.

Slowly he and the small horde behind him started getting distance from where everyone was.

After a while, Logan and the walkers behind him disappeared between the distant cars and everyone started coming out from under the cars starting with Rick, Shane, Glenn and Daryl who was pulling T-Dog whose clothes were dyed red with his blood.

"He's driving them away.." Rick

"We've done nothing but bring him trouble, it makes me feel bad."  Glenn said, feeling a bit ashamed.

"Man got balls on him." Daryl admitted.

*kshhh…Hello!...*

Logan's voice ranged from the radio on Rick's waist, which he took and responded quickly.

*kshhh…Logan!?!...*

*kshhh…Stop freaking out! I'm fine, I need you guys to search in the woods for a place to stay until I come back…*

*kshhh…How long will you lead them?...*

*kshhh…I dunno, more of them are emerging from the woods, I will have to lead them further before following you, just keep your radio on. I will contact you later. I'm out…*

"Alright, let's do as he said." Rick turned to the others who were with him since the others were a bit away.

"Who's going then?" Glenn asked.

"Anyone who wants to, we're only going to find a place to stay in." Rick explained.

Glenn nodded and went to tell the rest, leaving Shane, Daryl, and Rick.

"I don't want to feel like I'm useless, so I will come with you." Shane said to which Rick nodded and looked at Daryl.

"Nah, I'm gonna go hunt, see if I can get us anything." Daryl said before leaving the two without waiting for any approval.

"D-did Logan?" Amy wasn't able to say it, but Glenn understood.

"No, he just contacted Rick and said he's doing well. He just wants some of us to find a place we can stay in for the night if the RV is not repaired." Glenn explained which gave them relief, more so for Dale, Andrea, and Amy.

They were the ones that relied on him the most, for the two sisters because they see him as a strong and capable person who managed to protect, help, and saved the group from troubles several times.

In Dale's case, the two were on very good terms, in camp they exchanged a bit of their life stories. Plus Dale considered Logan an important part of the group, since he was always able to make calls no one else were able to, even solve any conflicts among the group.

Glenn was about to go back to working on the RV with Dale remembered T-Dog,

"Someone should take care of T-Dog's arm, he cut himself badly when he tried to hide." Glenn informed them as Carol decided to treat his wound before it catches infection, with Andrea offering to help.

With that everyone went to do their jobs, Dale, Jim, and Glenn were trying their best to repair the RV, Andrea and Carol treated T-Dog's wound while Amy joined Lori in preparing something for the others to eat.

Daryl was out trying to hunt, Rick, Shane, and Carl made their way inside the woods with the two men protecting the kid who was between them.

<×××××>

"Keep going! Follow me!!..." Logan who was guiding the horde kept on yelling any nonsense that came to his mind.

Reaching a turn, he was surprised by another group looming around without heading anywhere.

"Oh Sugar Honey Iced Tea!" Logan said.

But he couldn't go back, so all he can do is fight, or rather Butcher them.

SHIINNGG!

Pulling out his weapons, he climbed a car then another until he reached one that was big enough to make him out of their reach.

He waited until they were crowded around the car with outstretched hands trying to reach and grab him. Logan took in a deep breath.

"Time to take out the trash." Logan started slashing and piercing the walkers around him, since even with their numbers they couldn't reach him.

After taking most of them, with a few climbing over the others gradually reaching him, but still failed to achieve anything. Logan was like a killing machine, each move resulted in killing a walker at least, not letting the poor bastards any space to close distance.

After more than an hour Logan was finally done with all the walkers around, he took that long due to them being slow, it took them a lot of time to even climb over each other after the mountain of corpses grew big until it surpassed the car in height.

He got down and sat on the car's hood taking a few minutes to rest his muscles.

"Damn, this is what? The fifth time? I feel like Rick is cursed, first in Atlanta with the Helicopter, trying to get Merle back, the attack on camp, the CDC, and now a horde appears in the road where we stopped." Logan shook his head at how ridiculous the situation was.

Logan took his radio to contact Rick.

*kshhh… The problem is out of the way, did you find a place?...*

"..." Logan waited.

*kshhh…Anybody hear me?...*

No answer came.

*kshhh…Rick? Anyone? Does anybody hear me?...*

Again, no reply came.

"Just what in hell are they up to?" Logan scratched his head in frustration, he stood up put the radio back, and started jogging back to where he left them.

Back with Rick, he was running with a bloodied Carl in hands, he was scared, frightened, and also still in shock. But adrenaline made him run as he never did before, he even outran Shane who was following him and the fat bastard that shot Carl.

Shane was behind him aggressively pushing the fat man and yelling at him, but the fatso was dead tired and told them to head straight to another man named Hershel since he said that Hershel can help them.

Finally reaching the farm. A group lead by an old man waited for them.

"Hershel! who's Hershel!?!" Rick was yelling from distance.

"That's me!" the old man Hershel responded looking at the bloodied kid the man was carrying.

"A man told me you can save my son!" Rick said

"Otis?" Hershel asked.

"He did this! He told me you can help my boy." Rick was in an emotional turmoil right now.

"Bring him inside, Patricia fetch me my tools, a bucket of water, and some clean towels. Maggie prepare the Room." Hershel instructed everyone as he prepared himself to treat Carl.

...

Back on the road, Glenn, Jim, and Dale finally managed to repair the RV or at least did enough to make it work.

Carol with Andrea's help cleaned and bandaged T-Dog's wound and gave him some antibiotics, all of which were stuff that belonged to Logan.

Lori, oblivious to what happened to her son, with Amy and Sophia accompanying her, brought some food to the others who were resting under the shadow of the Truck.
