TITLE AT THE END OF THE CHAPTER

Somewhere?....

A light rythimc tapping ensured overhead. Loud moans could be heard from the damp floors above. But they were dampened by the even louder sounds of laughter and drinking below. Looking around the walls were covered in stains. Some crimson others a swampy green. Others you wouldn't know there was something there until you touched it.

Waitresses dressed in skimpy clothes walked around with trays of cheap booze and a grilled chicken dish among other items. The lecherous patrons would sneakily cop feels but to their dismay every time they were caught.

BANG!

The room quickly filled with silence. Even the strenuous exercise above them seemed to quiet down. Everyone looked at the origins of the sound.

It was a tall lady which towered over the 5'5 bar height. It barely passed her waistline. Her brown hair was cut to the sides creating a slight mohawk. She displayed masculine features. She wore a white shirt and overalls. However it could be seen that over the years one good wash wasn't going to get some stains out. She lifted the mug which had left a small saucer like dent in the table up before taking a swig and pointing at a sign freshly painted in a red liquid.

" TOUCH THE WORKERS AT YOUR OWN RISK"

As she tapped the sign some of the lines seemed to skew but it achieved its affect for now. The men within the bar grew more civilized at least as civilized as they could be. If you looked around you'd notice that most people within the room fit the same description. Unkempt. Rowdy. If they didn't smell of beer they smelled of blood and piss.

Dressed like true hardy pirates ready too loot and plunder.

On message board on the far wall away from the commotion an array of bounty posters were pinned. Some were of hardened men who looked to be over 40 years of age. Others were women who had most likely wronged someone in their life. And finally there was one strange group of them. They were bounties of some teenagers they seemed to had long faded in color and were withering due to the conditions of the environment. You could barely make out of the names. However one seemed to be regularly updated. It had candid headshots of the felon wanted by the IPP its name brightly plastered on the front.

" Davie..."

A young man who looked to be in his early thirties whispered to himself. He then casually eased back into a stool at the corner of the bar. Easily maintaining an inhuman posture and balance he tipped his har over his eyes in an attempt to sleep. He was an obvious anomaly in the crowd of people here. He was dressed rather well for a pirate. His brown cotton shirt and his trousers were spotless. He laid his hands to rest on his chest and let out a deep puff of air.

" Bounty 1400 sey....*whistle*...only been a pirate for 2 years. Out of his 4 crew members he's the only one still active after two years. We have intel that he should be coming here; the starting line of the Sey archipelago for some unknown reasons. " he grumbled to himself. " Why did they give me a hard case this early on in the year...."

A black haired young woman in her twenties placed a mug of beer on his table and sarcastically spoke to him. " Don't worry boss. After we arrest this little kid we'll get a months leave right?"

Inwardly he continued to speculate. ' if you read his damn file like you were supposed to you would know that he's over 6'4. So there is nothing little about him Milan'.

He rhythmically tapped his chest for a while before a solid thud disturbed his balance causing the chair to shake but he still remained calm and unaffected.

Raising his hat he looked in front of him before quickly pulling it back over his eyes. Sitting in front of him was a big pain in the ass. Is the how he'd describe him. It was a tall muscular man around 6'4. His head was completely bald and his dark brown eyes had a weird saucer shape to them. They're were doughy but also in a constant state of vigilance.

" hahaha. Sorry boss but I just had to. She was asking for it."

" Zip up your pants Wayne." The friendly looking giant with skin of bronze laughed idiotically at his mistake and a clear zipping sound was heard from underneath the table.

Stumbling back to the front bar was a young lady who seemed to be one of the untouchable goods in the shops. Her legs quaked and shivered as she managed to sit at the bar.

The masculine bartender gave her a look and in return she gave her a look of complete satisfaction. Looking over to the strange man who had barely drank anything and his friend who had just put one of her workers out of commission for the rest of the night. She knew they obviously weren't here for her quality service and from the looks of it it wasn't a street girl fetish either.

However she wasn't much worried. The island she was on was full of new blood wishing to etch their name into the shores golden world. This was the first island that all new blood had to survive and conquer before they could think of even reaching the capital.

Looking out one of the closed windows of her bar she sighed. Staring intensely at the rain which never seemed to ease up she looked towards the entrance of the bar which always seemed to be wet. The floor of the entrance was actually raised a few feet higher than the door way before its steps cascaded downwards. The wood was in a constant stare of moisture rot and had to be replaced regularly.

Suddenly lightning flashed and in the doorway appeared a lone tall figure.

He slowly entered the bar causing another pause and breath of fresh air to be brought in. With each step he took the more the room seemed to turn sour.

Most people were too drunk to make out a clear image but those who weren't gazed at the man seriously. His outfit was drenched in rainwater there were no tear or rips along his white linen shirt and his black trousers. Adorned on his head the hat of a captain. It was blacked and laced with gold rims. He took of his hat as he entered as a sign of respect for the owner revealing his full visage.

Some knew his face already but none could mistake the jolly roger above his eyebrow. Many silently placed their hands on their weapons. Others shirked away or plainly ran out into the pouring rain.

He paid them no mind as he calmly drained the water that built up within his hat. He then snugly placed it back onto wet wavy hair before continuing his steps.

A man already drunk and desperate drew his gun guns out of greed.

" I GOT YOU DAVIE THE KIDD. YOUR BOUNTY IS.."

BANG!

A crisp sizzling sound permeated the silence. Droplets of blood and sweat slowly dripped from the hole within his skull. It was too fast for most eyes to see. But they could still see the black barrel of a gun eerily smoking out of its holster.

He continued to step towards the counter. From the far corner of the room he heard an exaggerated whistle of satisfaction.

His blue eyes gazed over towards the corner. A young girl and two men who looked to be in their thirties met his gaze.

One of them who was constantly effortlessly balancing his chair for the first time looked at Davie directly his orange eyes had a weird feeling about them.

Davie quickly averted his gaze but made a short mental note of their presence.

The trio continued to eyes him like predators. He simply sat at the table and gave the bartender a smile.

She gave him an ugly grin.

" with all that confidence in your step, I would be mistaken to think that it is you who just put a hole in my customer." She slammed a mug next to him causing the residual droplets to jump into the air.

Davie's head was still held high.

" Can i get some juice please?" He continued his politeness and she grunted disgusted before pouring him some fresh juice. Watching him gulp it down she let her thoughts be heard.

"That'll cost ya double. Cause you're drinking for two people. "

He pulled out a half sey coin and placed it on the table before gesturing for some more. She slid the coin off the table and thought to herself.

' What's a big shot rookie doing here now...? Is this what those three are here for? I knew I shouldn't have hired that smart mouth girl. Sigh. I guess itl be a long night for me. '

As she walked away from them the trio were sat next to davie at the bar.

The orange eyed man spoke in a calm tone.

" How about we take this outside as to not disturb our matron?"

" Are you sure about that? " A slight glow appeared in the blue depths of hize gaze.

" You think I'll lose to you because of the rain? "

Davie drank another mug before thanking the bartender who meetly snorted at his words.

" One could say im a bit blessed by the rains"
