chapter 30

"Is it really okay to go hard on a quirkless kid?" Sato asked, not really sure if the exercise was actually useful, don't get him wrong, he is not a bad guy, he actual was the reason the two quirkless students in his Middle School weren't physically bullied, not being able to do much on the emotional damage, so by his view, a quirkless person is 'weak' in terms of fighting.

"I don't think we need to though." Mina cheerfully told, "He is connected to Aizawa after all... Somehow."

"Aizawa? Our teacher?" Ojiro joins the chat.

"Yeah! Izuku and Toga work on a cafe, that is visited by Aizawa at least!" Mina informed her team, "Uraraka also works there, and Shinso worked there for some time too. Even the grumpy blonde, Bakugo goes there."

"So they were chosen by our teachers specifically? They are our age though... Even one of them is in our class." Hagakure joins the chat, more like, always was there, just unseen.

"They talked about experience... What do you think its related?" Ojiro comments out loud.

"Being in the situation... Like hostage situation?" Sato questioned.

"They can't really have other roles with their age... Law wouldn't allow." Hagakure stated.

"Heroes may start!" All Might's announcement came into their earpieces.

All of them entered the building, watching out for traps, "Doesn't seem to have any traps..." Ojiro mentioned, as he walked into a room, "And nobody is here." Once exiting the room, he noticed that he was left behind by the group as they still progressed through the hallway. "Wait up!" He yelled out as he made his way to them.

And just like that, once they arrived to the stairs, they were met with a very happy Uraraka, jumping from the floor above, a dagger on her hand, Hagakure shrieked at the attack, and Sato took the front, blocking Mina from any kind of attack she could have thrown.

A simple punch was thrown by Sato, which the Uraraka there easily dodged, rolling down and passing through him, countering with a simple kick behind his knee, making him fall to the ground.

As she was about to attack the girls behind Sato, which one was still shocked by the sudden attack, and the other couldn't attack or would hurt her own teammate, she placed a hand to her ear, "The whole team is here~" She informed.

With that quick statement, from the other side of the hallway, from a window that was a straight line from their location, a desk came flying at them, 'Uraraka' working her way through that 'attack'.

Ojiro was quick to counter though, slamming his tail against Uraraka, which she dodged, and taking the opportunity to position himself to defend from the attacks he was going to receive, being mindful of the acid user behind him, giving her space for her to work with him.

However the furniture was still flying in their direction, making them not be able to get a hold of a position for battle, making them trip and do a lot of mistakes.

Somehow, they ended up far away from the staircase, away from their objective, and just like that, the Uraraka that was attacking them, backed away, the person, who was throwing objects at them, stopping as well, and after a quick sigh of relief, they were met with tremendous amounts of blue flames.

Just like that, the four of them were successfully divided in three groups, each for a different room or hallway that they had gone to, to protect themselves from the flames, and clearly confused with the exercise, they were 5 minutes in, and they didn't know what to do, they were tired, shocked and trembling at the situation in front of them.

Uraraka and Toga were having fun, after hearing a yell from the floor below, they headed for their plan, first would be Toga heading to them, informing the rest of her team about the numbers of the enemy and their locations, in case they were divided in teams and taking different routs, she would retreat and ambush them later, if they were all together, she would stall them, and inform Ochako and the rest of the team about them.

With the quick information about their whereabouts, Ochako easily supported Toga, jumping to the floor bellow from a window, and throwing objects she would find in the rooms.

Dabi could have a better day, not really minding working with Izuku and Toga, he was more bothered by the need for him to go down three sets of stairs to get to his objective, his job was easy, if they were all together separate them, if not, capture them, just that.

Izuku wasn't really surprised, they were just his age after all, they didn't get into many dangerous situations too, so they weren't really used to having troubles like this, but from the fact of one announcing their location, another blocking possible teamwork, other being petrified the full duration of the fight, and lastly one not being able to think of a versatile way of using her quirk, Izuku had already figured out 15 ways of her using her quirk, but she didn't take any of those opportunities.

The fight after was over quickly, Uraraka and Toga, which was still disguised, took out Hagakure and Mina, studying their movement and their different attack patterns, ordered by Izuku, and being sure to not injure them too much. Dabi was against Sato, and his spandex suit is not fire resistant, it basically turned into a fight of endurance, Dabi carefully controlling the temperature so he wouldn't kill the kid, and Sato tanking the flames with his body, not taking a set away from them, Izuku was in charge of Ojiro, that unsurprisingly was tough for him, Ojiro had experience in 1 vs 1 fights, had experience in varied martial arts, and his tail hit strong and fast, but Izuku knew better, since he was taught by Toga, he knew tricks, and Ojiro followed rules way too much, making it a more easier fight for Izuku.

"V-Villain win!"

The following fight ended up with similar situations, mistakes and so on, the worst situation would be:

Team 2: Jiro did great on hearing and searching locations, but she didn't communicate them most of the time, just simply saying that 'they are far', Yaoyorozu same so gear for her teammates, but the flare like material that she asked Sero to strap to his tape, made Tokoyami's power decrease, Sero didn't take the offensive once, saying that he was a defense and scouting type of guy, and Tokoyami didn't communicate, at all, well Izuku didn't count 'Danger in the Darkness' as talking.2

Team 3: Mineta is too much of a coward, he cried the moment Dabi appeared, Koda was straight useless, he didn't scout, didn't attack or defend, he was just stuck on the back-line watching, Kirishima was doing great, other than the slow reaction on some occasions, Izuku thinks that it might be self-esteem problems, and Kaminari was too quick to jump the gun, and sent his electricity to everyone, taking down Kirishima in the process, and the bomb that they were defending.

Team 4: Aoyama was constantly asking his teammates for attention, and when it came to fighting he shrunk on himself, Iida was very straight forward, so straight forward that he couldn't make turns so it was easy to take him down, Shoji and Asui were the two that were best in all fights, Shoji made a perfect way of scouting and informed all his teammates, and Asui was quick-witted taking his allies from danger and even keeping up her fight with Toga, she was taken down as soon as Uraraka joined the fight though.

As for team 5...

"We need to talk before the start."

"I don't need to talk about anything, I just need to go and beat them up!"

"I will end this quickly."

Was what the fight was resumed into, no teamwork, no communication, and completely failed to defend their objective... Its better not to mention the friendly fire...

The fight started with Bakugo going straight into Izuku and Dabi, that were divided from Toga who went rogue from the rooftop, and blow a hole through the wall, separating Dabi and Izuku, he warned him that this would probably happen, so it was his mission to continue without him if it happened.

Bakugo had his time complaining on how everything was already planned, and that he didn't want to be left out of the loop, Izuku did talk quite a lot during the fight, Bakugo was brutally punching and exploding everything, and Izuku happily told him about situations he wasn't aware, as he dodged.

"And that was how Mic fell down the stairs from our house." Izuku happily told, as he noticed Bakugo starting to pant from exhaustion, "Are you hearing?" With a grunt, Bakugo attacked again, "I guess I should tell you about how Nezu gave us work to do." Bakugo flinched, "My job is simple during those things, quirk analysis on the villains, and simple plan setting." Bakugo made an explosion really close to hitting Izuku, "Toga and Dabi have it worse than me though, since both had experience in the dark side, they sometimes have to go undercover and get information themselves. And even Ochako had work to do, she was a heavy lifter in most cases, but that still gave her experience." Finally Bakugo successfully connected a right hook.

"YOU IDIOT!" Bakugo yelled at him, "WEREN'T YOU GOING TO WORK WITH ME!? WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK FOR MY HELP!?" Throwing another punch that Izuku decided to receive, he continued, "WEREN'T WE PASS THE BULLY AND BULLIED!? ASK FOR MY HELP DAMN IT! I WANT TO HELP YOU!" Izuku stopped as he took yet another punch, looking up to the blonde, "Weren't we supposed to be a team now?"

"Kacchan... I guess I owe you an apology." Izuku said as he smiled, "I will talk with Aizawa and Nezu, and I will call you when I need your help, you will officially be part of the Undying cafe team."

-------------------

Dabi was grumbling under his breath on how he wanted to go home and so on, when a giant iceberg made its way to him, acting on instinct alone, he melted it with his flames. Todoroki Shoto was his opponent.

They were silent as they attacked each-other, Todoroki never used his fire, and Dabi never took a step from the place he started his fight.

As the fight continued, Todoroki's moves however became slower, the ice was starting to take a tool on him and he was aware, but continued to throw ice at Dabi.

"Use your fire, Shoto." Dabi simply stated.

"I will never use my left side." He said back.

"You will pass out if you continue like this."

"I will never use the quirk of that man."

"You know that is not true."

"Did my father pay you? Why are you forcing me to use his power?" He glared

"Most certainty he didn't pay me." Dabi chuckled, "That piece of shit tried to kill me quite a lot of times by now."

"Then why?"

"Can't I worry about my little brother?" Dabi said bluntly and calmly, making Todoroki completely stop, and with that opportunity Dabi dashed in front, quickly sending Todoroki to the floor and taking him out of the exercise.

Dabi dragged him to the wall, which was completely encased in ice, actually the whole building was encased in ice, they just got used to it as they fought, and after setting the restricted bi-colored haired student, he sat besides him. "I guess you have a lot of questions." Todoroki merely nodded, "Then why don't we talk a bit."

--------------

Toga slowly made her way to the bomb, she knew that by the ice that was on the floor, and by the distant explosions that her opponent would be Shinso, after taking her time to reach to him, she quickly made her way to the bomb.

And just like that, "Hero team wins."

Shinso turned around from the window, his eyes wide, "W-When did y-?"

"Just now!" Toga celebrated, making her own celebratory dance, "Just entered and walked up to the bomb." She finished as she twirled around the room.

And just like that, The Undying Cafe team won every match, and all students were tired beyond belief, and scared of their evaluation as Ochako chuckled at them when they asked if they did good.

All Might couldn't keep up with all kinds of questions he was receiving, and he was starting to be out of time for his muscled form, he was sweating as he thought of the possibility of being discovered by a lengthy presentation of everyone's troubles and mistakes.

Izuku happily and cheerfully told everyone's mistakes, and before he finished, he turned cold, and as his glare penetrated everyone he ended with, "And most importantly, none of you talked about themselves and none of you informed about your quirks to your teammates, making all teamwork opportunities impossible."

Just like that, 1-A's first hero lesson was met with harsh critics and dream crushing statements, but most of them could easily come with the same sentence in their heads, 'I will become a better hero with this.'
