Lily

Felix entered the room, which was rather simple. The only piece of furniture was a small bed designed for one person, and a small window facing the fields. Since there was no light, the man didn't immediately see what was in front of him. He walked casually toward the bed, intending to sit and contemplate his plans and review his day.

At that moment, when his hand touched something soft, a scream suddenly echoed, leaving him in a stunned state. Shocked, the man could only stand in place, gazing in surprise at the young girl aged between seventeen and eighteen, who blushed and looked at him in fear.

"Who are you? How did you get into our house?" A gentle girl's voice filled with fear echoed.

"Uh..." Felix was puzzled and didn't know how to explain. In the darkness, he noticed her blushing cheeks and couldn't forget the pleasant and soft sensation on his hand when he wanted to feel the bed and sit on it. At that moment, it struck him like lightning.

"Damn it! Did I... uh... touch her?"

While Felix stood bewildered, Abraham and Viola burst into the room. The head of the family, observing the situation, felt a bit awkward but decided to quickly bring his daughter up to speed. While the girl was being informed of the situation, Felix was temporarily led out of the room and seated in the kitchen.

Viola, with an obvious intention to laugh, restrained her laughter and explained through chuckles, "F-Felix, my boy... um... this is our daughter, Lily. My husband completely forgot that she was sleeping in this room while we were renovating her room."

After Viola's explanations, the guy could only nod and wait for Abraham to come out to him. Speaking of his emotions, Felix felt extremely uncomfortable. The whole situation was very awkward, considering he was still in the house of someone unknown to him, and if it weren't for the fact that he had nowhere else to go, he would have left as soon as possible.

Finally, after half an hour, Abraham and Lily came out to them.

"There you are!" Viola said, being the first to notice them.

Felix lifted his head and was slightly surprised by the beauty of the girl. She had the same chestnut hair as Viola, and her precious blue eyes sparkled. A cute freckle adorned her left cheek, and her skin was pale. Her lips were thin and neat, and her eyebrows, like the edge of a sword, accentuated her beauty and added charm.

Overall, she looked very beautiful and cute at the same time. It was evident that she had the potential to become a beauty capable of toppling empires in the future. Not wanting to appear rude, the man stood up and greeted her, not taking his eyes off her beautiful blue eyes in which he saw his reflection—stars in her eyes that slightly shocked him.

"Um... greetings. My name is Felix, and Mr. Abraham agreed to provide me temporary shelter until I can support myself," Felix greeted her, politely nodding and introducing himself. He looked somewhat embarrassed but still said, not changing his facial expression much, "And... I'm sorry for scaring you. And for 'that' too..."

"Ugh..." The girl made a strange sound and blushed deeply. Abraham and Viola exchanged glances, not understanding what was being discussed, looking intrigued. Noticing their curiosity, Lily hastily waved her hand and decided to change the subject, "Don't mention that. My name is Lily, nice to meet you."

"Pleasure's mine too," Felix nodded and smiled, finally feeling better.

He was a bit awkward about the incident. After all, this girl was younger than him, considering her psychological age. But after she forgave him, Felix decided not to dwell on the matter and quickly forgot about it for his safety.

After a few minutes, when Lily returned to the room with Viola, Felix remained with Abraham, who was smiling and occasionally patting Felix on the back.

"It's okay. I knew it was an accident," said Abraham, laughing. His laughter was rough but not unpleasant.

"..." Felix was speechless and smiled. He thought, "So you knew all along what happened and pretended not to understand anything? What an actor..."

Late at night, Felix found himself in the master bedroom, sleeping in the corner on a small mattress. Viola went to sleep with Lily, leaving only Abraham and Felix in the room, which again was a bit uncomfortable for the latter.

It wasn't that he felt awkward around Abraham or anything else; it was just...

"Snnn... snnn..." 

"I can't sleep for two hours already!" Felix cried in his thoughts, barely holding back the desire to cry.

It was unbearably difficult to listen to Abraham's snoring. It felt like an earthquake was about to happen at any moment. It was a melody of horror!

Despite all attempts to fall asleep, Felix would wake up again because of the loud, meteor-like snoring! It was dreadful.

The only salvation was to enter the space of the Library of Knowledge, where there were several interesting books. Although he couldn't sleep, he would at least spend his time productively.

"So... what to read?" he thought and tapped into the air. Suddenly, a system window appeared.

After several hours of searching, he couldn't find anything useful. Unfortunately, in his past life, he wasn't interested in reading books, especially about agriculture. Feeling disappointed, he could only sigh.

"Too bad. But maybe I'll find something useful for construction?"

As it turned out, he did. In his past life, he worked for a few companies, and the very first one dealt with construction and selling houses, so he occasionally interacted with books on this topic. Remembering the volume of books they gave him for training during his internship, Felix could only shudder at the bad memories.

Abraham woke up early in the morning. It was six o'clock, and the rooster crowed outside the window. The village began to wake up.

"Oh, how well I slept!" Abraham murmured satisfactorily and smiled. "And you, Felix? Hey... why do you have such tired eyes?"
