"if you do not want me to unpromise my promise, you should come out to eat breakfast now."Carlos

said

Carlos walked out and told the maid to prepare her for breakfast and get clothes for janette to wear.

The maid knocked on janette room,

"The king has asked to bath and dress you for breakfast,my lady." The maid said from behind janette room.

janette walked toward the door,opened the door and told the maid"thank you for your assistance but I'm not a child to be cloth or bath.I can do them myself"Janette said taking the cloth from the maid and then closed the door.

Janette just placed the cloth on the bed and went out with her night gown she wore the previous day.

The maid who was assigned to her,Stella,looked at her perplexed and afraid because she knew that the girl the king brought will be the end of her,Stella took up the courage to say bowing her head"My lady,I think you should dress up before go meeting the King,he would be dismal."

"I would like to go to the eating table , I wouldn't want the king waiting now "janette said sarcastically.

The maid Contemplated before she finally agreed and nodded

Carlos felt the presence he had been waiting for,when his eye met with her,she immediately looked away in a swift movement which ofcourse amused Carlos,

janette was wowed by the setting of the eating table it has been decorated beautifully,the table itself was long with chairs opposite each other with space of 2cm within each chairs,this was an advantage to janette,she sat at the end of the table which was very far from the king,

Carlos knew what she was doing so he said" I didn't know you were blind that you didn't see me here"

"I am very Comfortable here,My king" Janette Said

Carlos retorted back "Well,honestly speaking that's your problem not mine,I'm sure you wouldn't want to keep me waiting."he said fiercely

Janette knew she wouldn't want to get on this man's nerve, so she decided to sit close to him and be done with her meal as soon as possible,She heard Carlos say,

"Now that wasn't hard,was it?"

When the head cook,Miss Staphron had dished out their food Carlos picked up his cutlery and began to eat,he saw Janette having a hard time cutting her beef with her cutlery so she dropped it,picked up her knife and just forced the whole beef into her small lips,

"Your governess will commence etiquettes with you the following week"Carlos said

"I do not need a governess"Janette said

"Normally when a person trys to help someone they appreciate with a thank you, what an ungrateful person you are." Carlos said shaking his head disappointed.

"Thank you!??" Janette said

"You are welcome"he replied instantly

"i wasn't...."janette tried to retort back but she bit her lips to stop herself,she knew he would always have Something to say back.

And this only amused Carlos further,

"Why didn't you dress up in the clothing assigned to you,do not assume I have forgotten you disobeyed my order" Carlos said, not liking she went against his words

"I wasn't in the mood to shower and wear them and moreover they aren't mine"janette said looking down at her plate.

"I guess I am too lenient."Carlos said calmly
