Talking with Rogue

Nesiara and John approached Rogue who was sitting in her usual place when she looks at them and says, "Who are you two? Going by all the information I could gather you didn't exist until a week ago."

She looked at the couple who looked at her as if they were at their house and not on enemy territory when Rogue says, "You really aren't afraid of what could happen next."

"Fear is an effective weapon if pointed at the right person. But against me or my husband, it won't help nor will bullets the only thing you will achieve by doing so would be the death of the whole Afterlife," says Nesiara seriously which made everyone nervous because of her cold tone.

"So what do you mean with 'you know' going by your appearance you weren't even born before the 40s," says Rogue as she looked at them seriously.

"Our appearance might fool you but we are quite old. In fact, I might be double your age," says Nesiara as John interrupt their small talk.

"We know that you are the only one that survived what happened and we know that Johnny Silverhand is still alive in some way," says John looking at Rogue who twitched for a blink of a moment.

"Johnny, alive, really," says Rogue not believing it.

"He will be back around the end of April beginning Mai this year. You won't even believe it until he stands before you. But we didn't come because of Johnny Silverhand," says John as he looked at her seriously.

"We came so you can supply us with some jobs and other fixers. We take any job except trafficking of children and women. But if it is to free and escort them then we are in," says John as Rogue looked at them seriously.

"And you think I have jobs for people like you. I have many mercs waiting in line to get a job from me. Why should I ignore the others for two nobodies?" says Rogue as Nesiara pulled V's gun out surprising everyone before she pointed it against herself.

She pulled the trigger and the bullet hit the right side of the most vulnerable part of the human head the temple before the bullet becomes flat and falls to the ground.

Everyone in the club saw that and was in denial about what just happened and Nesiara says, "We aren't your average Joes. We have seen and survived things that would make most of the people here think twice of really wanting to be a merc."

At the same time, John waves his hand making everyone fall asleep since the next part was quite private. Rogue seeing that became more nervous but didn't show it in her face since she had a reputation to keep.

"So, you want just some work from me and that I put in a good word for you two with some other fixers so they give you jobs as well. Do I understand you clearly?" says Rogue leaning back not showing her nervousness.

"That's right, it can even be some jobs you saw as too dangerous before since you didn't want the crews to die from doing it," says John as Rogue now knew from where their confidence came from.

They can't be killed by normal bullets as she notices that Nesiara was carrying two other guns which she didn't pull out to shoot herself making Rogue think that those could at least harm them.

"I can see from where your confidence comes from and I will think about it," says Rogue as John takes out a phone and puts it on the table which confused Rogue.

"A phone? We aren't in the 20s or 30s any longer but almost in the 80s," says Rogue as John smiles at her.

"It is more secure since it isn't connected to any network and no Netrunner will be able to crack it. And if they try their brain might burn out killing them in the process. I hope you still know how to use a phone," says John as it had only one number in it.

Rogue takes the phone and puts it away when John and Nesiara stand up and Nesiara says, "We will be awaiting your call."

John wakes everyone up again as they leave the Afterlife when he takes Mjølnir back and says, "Thanks for holding on to it for me."

They leave and find a group trying to steal the Regalia when John grabs one of them and says, "What are you doing to my beautiful car?"

"I didn't know it was yours," says Nesiara looking at him joking about it.

"Do we kill them or let them leave after teaching them a lesson?" asks John to Nesiara who just hit the group with her open palm knocking them out before throwing them into the trash that was nearby.

John was still holding on to his thief when he just put him to sleep before throwing him in with his friends. Then he takes the passenger seat and Nesiara the driver seat.

She begins to drive away from the Afterlife when she says, "Justice, the way to Misty's Esoterica."

"Yes, ma'am," says Justice as he appears and guides Nesiara like a navigation system to Misty's Esoterica.

"So what do you think about Rogue?" asks John to Nesiara as they were driving towards Misty's Esoterica.

"She has nerves of steel and I like her for it. Any other person would have been a useless wrack after putting so much pressure on them but she still played around it as if it was an everyday occurrence for her. I hope we can become friends," says Nesiara showing that she really liked Rogue for being a strong woman.

"Time will tell," says John as he places his elbow against the door while leaning his head against his hand looking out of the window before he says, "Are you sure about Jackie? After hearing your story about what you went through I think we should maybe leave the people that should die rest in peace and with that I mean Bardock and Gine as well."

"Too late for that. We already promised Misty to keep Jackie alive. And it seems that Lorena showed me what would have happened on the First World the Primordial World which existed before Shura sealed it away so the Multiverse could exist without fearing the Gods of the Primordial World," says Nesiara as they already could see the corner they needed to enter to get from the main street to the side street.

"So we can keep them alive without breaking the whole fiber of the Multiverse," says John as Nesiara nods.

"Yes, or Raditz, as well as Goku, would have died and dragged some of the people around them with them to the Otherworld. But nothing happened which makes me believe that it depends on the people in charge of the worlds such as Dio over the world that some of our children live in," says Nesiara hinting that it depends on the God that is responsible for the World they are on.

Nesiara sees that V's car wasn't parked any longer making Nesiara park the Regalia right on that spot before she kills the engine and they leave the car.

They walk and find Misty with a customer as Misty was reading her the cards as John and Nesiara pass her and leave through the back entrance. They walk and find a cat which John pets for a moment before Nesiara looks at him confused.

"I didn't know that you like Yokai that much," says Nesiara seeing through the cat as she revealed her second tail.

"It is a weak spirit which can bring you luck or misfortune depending on her mood," says Nesiara as she pets the little girl while saying, "Aren't I right."

The cat only meaws happily as John leaves her some food before walking down the stairs which lead to Viktor's clinic.

They arrive at the end and find that Viktor had a client at the moment when they enter. They let Viktor work as they sit down until Viktor notices them.

"You are here. I should get everything together in two weeks. Had to call in some favors from some old friends of mine to get everything in a nice condition," says Viktor not stopping his work as the customer was confused.

"Misty already told us about that. We are just here to talk to you in person since we only talked with each other over a third party before," says John as he was walking forward looking at Viktor's work.

"Interested in how I work?" asks Viktor looking over his shoulder.

"I am something like a scientist myself since I had to study the anatomy of a human body to be able to use one of my abilities to perfection," says John looking at Viktor replacing the eyes of his client.

"Well, I don't mind you looking over my shoulder," says Viktor as he made sure that everything was working before implanting the eyes and calibrating them.

"I know of a man that is completely augmented. Too bad that I can't bring him here. He would most likely love it since his he would be just like everyone else," says Nesiara talking about the man her daughter summoned using Excalibur.

"You mean Adam Jensen?" asks John as he heard from Nora about him.

"Yes, it seems he was sent to live another life on Thedas by the Deathseeker after he died of blood loss after he saved some rich guys at a party from drinking poison," says Nesiara as John looked at her confused.

"Did he meet Logan?" asks John curiously as Nesiara shakes her head.

"No, Adam must have been pulled out of his world without Shura and Lorena knowing about it and placed there only for one cycle. The same goes for the other warriors that the Deathseeker sealed in the sheath of Excalibur," says Nesiara informing John as Viktor and the client were confused looking at them as if asking if it was alright to listen to this conversation.

"Don't worry about what you hear. A normal human forgets about a thousand things every day. This will be one of them," says John as he smiles at Viktor and the client.

They stayed there for a while longer as John and Viktor were looking at a boxing match after the client was gone until John's phone began to vibrate and play Bury the Light which made John and Nesiara look at the phone.
