The Regalia

A week passed and John and Nesiara had some IDs and a bank account on which John deposited most of the gold he made for the Dragonball Universe.

They bought themselves a penthouse nearby V's apartment in the Megabuilding H10. V only needed to look out of the window to see the penthouse the couple was living in.

They bought some clothes from the shop which made their new friends look at them confused as V asks, "You must be big fans of SAMURAI to be wearing those clothes."

"Nah, they are just comfortable and we modified them a bit see," says Nesiara as she shoots herself.

The three friends were shocked and worried before they see the bullet fall to the ground. Nesiara shows that her jacket didn't even have a scratch on it.

"You are bulletproof," says Jackie confused when John sighs.

"Something like that. Let us just say that projectiles can't kill us that easily. It needs an amount of strength to wound us," says John as he was openly carrying Yamato on his belt while Mjølnir was on the other side of the belt.

Nesiara had her guns hanging in their holsters strapped beside her ribs while her scythes were hanging from her belt.

They were wearing the same clothes which were Johnny's outfit that V could collect in Night City. They had everything on except for the sunglasses as they were sitting around in Misty's Esoterica.

"So what are you going to do now?" asks Jackie as John smirks at them.

"We are going to work for a bit as Mercs to increase our Street Cred around NC. Maybe take some risky contracts which we 'barely' come out alive," says John as the other three looked at them seriously.

"As long as you don't steal our contracts," says V as John and Nesiara smiled at her.

"Don't worry, we would never do that but we will have to find some fixers to work with and the best one is in the Afterlife," says John as the group looked at him surprised.

"You mean Rogue Amendiares. You won't even get near her without catching some bullets," says Jackie knowing how everything works in Night City.

"She will listen to us," says Nesiara coldly as her eyes turned black.

"We have something that she doesn't want anyone else to know about and with that, we should have one foot inside. The other foot will be convincing her," says John as the trio wasn't really that convinced.

"How is Victor doing with the synthetics I wanted him to get for me?" asks John as Misty takes out the list.

"He got most of it but why do you want them if you don't want to put them to use?" asks Misty back as John smiles.

"They aren't for me but my daughter-in-law. She is a scientist and would love to take those apart with her father. Also, they are an apology gift for putting her through a gruesome training regime," says John as they looked at him confused.

John creates a Ki Ball in his hand and says, "This ball that I am holding is made out of Ki. An energy inside our bodies or at least there would be but I haven't felt even the slightest Ki in anyone of you so far."

The group was looking at the Ki Ball when John continues, "Right now I have compresses enough Ki in this ball that it can destroy a simple building easily. If I and Nesiara were to go all out Night City will be destroyed. I was training my daughter-in-law and some friends of my son to reach a normal level of strength to be able to face the future enemies that await them."

"So every normal person could use that in your world?" asks V seeing the potential behind Ki.

"So far any world we traveled to the people could train their Ki but this world seems dead in the perspective of being able to use Ki," says Nesiara as John dissolves the Ki Ball.

"Anyway, V, can you give us a lift to the Afterlife?" asks John as V stands up.

"Of course, we should let the lovebirds alone for a while. Also, Jackie, be ready. Wakako wants us to clean a place for her," says V to Jackie as she takes the lead.

"Pinche Hermana (Damn Sister), I thought the job was tomorrow," says Jackie surprised when V turns around.

"Sorry to disappoint you. See you, Misty," says V as the couple says their goodbye as well leaving with V.

"So can you tell me why you still don't have a car?" asks V as she walks to where she left the car.

"We have a car but we don't know the way to the Afterlife. That's why we asked you. Also, we wanted to give them some time alone," says Nesiara as V looked at them.

"Is the car also modified?" asks V as John nods.

"Yes, maybe we let you drive it in the future or even gift it to you before we leave," says John since they didn't need the car in the future.

"How about we let her drive it now," says Nesiara as she touches V's shoulder and disappears with her when John sighs and disappears as well.

They appear in the living room of the couple's penthouse. V wasn't surprised any longer as she looks around seeing that the penthouse wasn't as filled as she believed it would be.

The penthouse was quite simple and cozy like her own apartment only with the most relevant and some small luxuries like a TV and a big kitchen.

"You have it quite cozy here," says V as Nesiara and John smile at her.

"Well, we had to make it comfortable for us," says Nesiara as they walked out of the penthouse as they walked towards where the car was standing.

"How are we going to get it down?" says V confused since the car had wheels instead of being an Aerodyne Vehicle.

"Don't worry about that let us get inside first," says John as he walks towards the car and jumps right into the backseat while Nesiara jumps onto the passenger seat.

V was more respectful using the door before starting the engine and she asks, "What is this car? I have never seen one like this before."

"This is the Quartz Regalia Type-F. It is a car that can change manually between flying and driving. It never needs to be fueled thanks to its Magitek Generator. Now then push the gas pedal to the end and push this button," says Nesiara pointing at a button on the steering wheel.

V was nervous but does as Nesiara said and kicks the pedal completely through when they were about to reach the edge she pushed the button and the car suddenly took off as the form of the back of the car changed and the roof was covering their heads.

"This is crazy," says V excited as she was flying through the air.

"It seems you like the car," says John as V looked at the rear mirror.

"Are you kidding? I love it," says V as she felt like a child getting a new toy.

"The same model belongs to a King of another Universe. He and his bodyguards used it to travel their world on their quest of saving their World from eternal Darkness," says John as V was now nervous.

"So you are telling me that a King rides the same car in some other world?" asks V as Nesiara nods.

"That's right, but shouldn't we go to the Afterlife. We are getting further and further away from Watson," says John as V remembers again their destination.

"Right, sorry about that, I got sidetracked because of the car and its story," says V as she turned it around flying towards the Afterlife again.

"Oh, my great-grandfather and his wife helped said King many years ago. He had to fight a God and stood over said God victorious," says Nesiara as V almost crashed the car before she got control of the Regalia again.

She lands the Regalia on the main street before she turns to the right entering an alley. A bit further in she parks the car.

"We are there," says V as she turns the engine off.

"Thanks, V," says John as they step out of the car.

V leaves them as John and Nesiara enter the building and walk down the stairs. They reach a closed door with a big guy standing in front of them.

John stared at the bouncer and smiles at the bouncer because he didn't flinch making him say, "You really have some guts. I like you."

John taps his shoulder lightly before turning serious and whispers, "Tell Rogue that we want to meet her. Tell her that John and Nesiara Crownguard know about what happened on the night of the Night City Holocaust and her role in it."

The bouncer could feel that John's firm grasp on his shoulder and it was painful for him when the bouncer puts his hand on his ear and says, "Boss, some people want to talk to you."

The bouncer looks at John and Nesiara and says, "I don't think they ever came to the Afterlife before. But they said something about your involvement in Night City Holocaust."

The bouncer looked at John and Nesiara before he felt nervous since both didn't look even scared to enter the Lion's Den.

The bouncer gets orders and he says, "You can enter but I would be watching my back if I were you."

"Don't worry about us," says John as he removes Mjølnir from his belt and hands it over to the bouncer and says, "Hold that for me. I will be back in a second for it."

The bouncer holds the hammer when John lets go of it and the bouncer hits the ground while the door opens for the couple.

They enter the club seeing everyone glare at them but Nesiara nor John was fazed by their glares. And why should they, they have fazed worse things before as they walked for a bit passing the counter when John and Nesiara get stopped by another man this time a bit smaller than the bouncer from before.

John and Nesiara looked through him at the woman sitting at the table behind him when they hear her say, "Weyland, let them through."
