Zhou Ming's Sad Past
Initially, Yu Feng was planning to rush back to Jing City after she had received the old madame's reply. However, Officer Zhou Ming's mother had invited her to stay and grab something for lunch at her place.
Yu Feng recalled the old madame's culinary skill and could not resist the temptation.
After counting the time, Yu Feng guessed that she should be able to arrive in Jing City before the gate close only if she hired a carriage. Although it might cost her a lot of money, at least, she would be able to enjoy Old Madame Zhou's cooking.
Anyway, the food has been cooked and only needed to be reheated. She did not have to wait for too long.
Yu Feng followed the old Madame to the dining area and ate her food happily. Seeing that the old lady was smiling amiably at her as she ate, Yu Feng's movement became awkward.
"Why did you stop? Just eat," Old Madame Zhou urged. "Go on and eat a little bit more."
