Most of the people in the hall didn't understand what Brad meant by sacrifice , like sacrifice to whom or for what . One of the members asked again , " Umm , sacrifice for what ?"

Brad looked at Joseph and after a pause Joseph sighed and said , " In simple words You can be more powerful if you make sacrifices to the Dark spirit . The Dark spirit makes your spirit power more destructive . It's not something I ever allowed my members to do and nor I ever will . I don't think you guys should know any more details . Just remember , this process is not something a protector of mankind should follow . I hope you guys will remember this and won't follow any wrong path in order to be invincible . " And with that he left the room .

" So that was the secret of their powers . Total bas**rds . "

" Seriously , disgusting people . "

" How can they sacrifice those innocent children for their own gain ! Monsters . "

The members were leaving the hall , spouting hatred towards the Dark Souls .

Enilese was very upset . She couldn't imagine how cruel those people can be to push those innocent children to death that easily . At the same time she was feeling extreme hatred and anger towards those Dark Soul members who caused that disaster . For a moment she wished that those people should have been killed so that they couldn't be able to commit these kind of crimes . But the next moment she remembered Brad's words regarding how much more powerful they are than the Angels . Though she didn't attend any kind of mission before and she really didn't have the idea how the fights look like still she was feeling so helpless and insignificant at the moment . She was going to her room while thinking all these things when someone pats her shoulder . She looked at the person , it was Pierce .

" Need someone to talk ? " , he asked .

" If you don't have any problem . "

" I don't have any . Let's go . "

" Where ? "

" Just come , you'll feel better . "

Pierce brought Enilese to the garden of their base . The garden was very beautiful . There were various flower plants mostly of different kind of roses . The bright and beautiful colours of the flowers are so soothing that it can ease anyone's tensed mind . Enilese liked the garden very much , she used to spend most of her time in the garden before she started going out with other Angels . After Joseph allotted some duties to her , eventually her visit to the garden became less . Today , she came to the garden after a long time . She calmed down a bit as they sat on a bench . She looked at Pierce but didn't say anything .

" I know , this kind of things are a bit uncomfortable for you but take a deep breath and try to relax . "

They sat there for some time , then Enilese started talking , " Pierce , can you please tell me the details of spirit power ? I thought we have full access to our spirit power but what Joseph said that Darkness give access to more power , does that mean you can get access to full power only through sacrifice , I couldn't understand properly ."

" Okay , let me explain clearly . Enilese , when you select a spirit as your guide , the spirit teaches you how to use its power but to a certain limit . That is the basic lesson that all the spirits give their disciples . Generally when we complete that level , we say that we've learnt the skills for using powers . But there are more levels of using spirit power . First level that everyone needs to pass for using spirit power gives you enough ability to take down those who are less powerful than you . The next level enables you to face those who are on equal power standard as you . But the thing is , in that level , it doesn't matter how badly you attack and harm your opponent it won't be fatal . And you can guess about the final level , that level enables you to use spirit power to the fullest . And if someone successfully complete that level he can defeat as well as kill anyone except very few immortal figures . Now , back to your question , you can acquire full power from your guardian spirits , but that can be acquired only through extremely hard challenges . Those challenges are so hard that most of the disciples fail to pass even the second level and end up harming themselves .."

" How ? " Enilese asked curiously .

" Okay , you've also completed your basic training . Tell me , how was it to control a spirit ? "

" That was not very easy , I can say . "

" Exactly . Then imagine how hard it will be in the next level ! " I don't know about that . But the Dark spirit works in that way . He doesn't accept disciples to teach the skills , he makes deals . Anything else ? "

" Pierce , can't we also try the next levels of spirit power ? Has any of us tried it ? " She asked .

"The basic level is enough for our job so most of us don't think about going to the next levels . Some people tried but did not succeed and quit . " Selina ! How come she didn't tell me ! By the way what about you ? "

So after some tossing and turning she grabbed her phone . She thought of texting Shawn but she hesitated a bit because she thought that Shawn can be sleeping at the time . After some thought , she decided to text him . She sent

' Are you awake ?'

She waited for some time but no reply came . ' He must be sleeping , it's so late anyway .' she thought . She put her phone down , just then her phone produced the 'ting' sound informing the arrival of a new message . She hurriedly took the phone and saw that Shawn has replied .

' Why are you still awake ? Anything wrong ? '

She typed , ' No no , nothing special . I was just struggling to sleep but I couldn't sleep . So I wondered if you're awake . By the way am I disturbing you ? '

' No . '

Even though Ryan didn't say anything she was already in tears . It was the same girl who met Ryan and Shawn some time ago . The woman remembered that night's events . She looked behind Ryan hoping that that man who let her go that day would be present today also , but she couldn't find him . Ryan remembered her and saw her looking for someone behind him . He sarcastically remarked , " Oh , if you're looking for your saviour from that day , very bad luck . He isn't here today . "

The woman became more scared and said in a shaky voice , " Please let me go ."

" Didn't I tell you to avoid this route at night . Don't you remember demons like me lurk at night in this area . "
