Heavenly pills pavilion

Heavenly Pills pavilion was a large store located on the west die of the city along with other commercial businesses and enterprises. The pavilion was stunningly grand and was located on one of the largest streets in the west district. The flow of traffic this store received every day could be counted in the hundreds, sometimes thousands. This was excluding one day of every month when the place became a beehive of people.

This day was the day when all the Apail family disciples came for resources provided by the clan. After all, every clan or sect is based on resources. Without resources, very few could be drawn to providing joining an organisation that may require sacrifices. It's these resources that drew the attention of people like Cara, Henry and Sam.

On this day, the heavenly pills pavilion could be described as a place of chaos. But within that chaos was a slight order which both sustained the chaos while removing negative events like fighting or trampling from taking place.

Sej arrived in this place of chaos with high expectation for what could be gained. He knew that while others may just see a regular new disciple when looking at him, the Apail family would instead hold him in high regard. He knew this because he was a destiny child as he was told by Lily. Although he did not understand what that meant, nor did he dare investigate In case he gave himself away, he knew from her reaction at the time that it was something important.

Sej never forgot the warning Lily gave and kept this secret to himself without telling even his friends. It's not that he did not trust them, but who knows what could happen in the future, he did not want to make a mistake.

After hours of trodding forward through a crowd and being pushed and shoved every way he could imagine, which included being accidentally tossed in the air, he found his way into the Heavenly pills pavilion. He was still in a daze recalling how he stepped on a large guy's shoes, only for the guy to lift his foot and whoosh, he was in the air for a full 5 seconds before being caught by the crowd like it was a natural event.

Sej got the feeling that too many in the vicinity, he was treated like a bug that could be squashed at any time. He hated this feeling and resolved himself to get stronger, as quickly as he could.

The heavenly pills pavilion was much more organised. Employees of the store could be seen shuffling around the area as fast as they could, sending people to form lines leading to counters. On entering the store, Sej was immediately noticed by one of the employees who quickly approached him.

"Sej Damian I presume if you would follow me the manager would like to see you." No one notices this as there were just too many people and a character like Sej was not worth taking note of specifically. They just cared about getting what they came for.

There were three floors in the heavenly pills pavilion, the first store sold common medicines and pills such as the body refining pill, or the essence of gathering pills for stage 2 cultivators. These were stapled pills, for certain cultivation realms. Rarer pills were also sold if they were of a lower grade. The second floor sold higher grade pills that are much rare. The third floor was where business was managed by the shop manager and administrative staff.

Passing, shelf after shelf of pills bottles of rare pills guarded by glass cabinets on the second floor, Sej was quickly led to the room door on the third floor by a clerk. The clerk then knocked on the door. An elegant but dignified voice came from inside. "Come in." The shop clerk gestured for Sej to enter the room before closing the door behind him and leaving to complete his work.

Behind the desk was a stunningly beautiful woman. She was wearing a navy blue dress with light makeup on her face. She had gentle green eyes twinkled like stars and long black shiny hair. Her skin had a faint tan but that was on the lighter side. She was not much older than Sej. He estimated that she was 16-17 years old.

"Hi Sej, it's nice to finally meet you. My name is Emily Apail, you have met my cousin Lily before. She told me a lot about you."

"Nice to meet you, Emily," Sej replies offhandedly as he was dazzled By her beauty.

Emily snapped her finger at him to joke him back to the present. "Sorry, you're just very beautiful sister Emily."

Emily sighed. She was glad for the compliment but was annoyed at the consistency of what men cared about. She was transferred to the post of the manager here on Castian about a month ago with the sole mission of ensuring Sej got what he needed to improve quickly. Why did they choose her? She could make some guesses but chose to ignore the matter completely. The clan had rules in place to prevent arranged marriages.

They did not opt to force marriages on guys or girls like other clans. Why they did this only the grand elders and patriarch knew but it had been that way for a very long time. Many battles were fought due to this rule when a guy or girl refused to marry someone from a powerful clan only to have conflict break out. Overall, the clan could prod someone to get married to certain people but any member of the family had a right to refuse.

"Take this storage bag. From now on don't come to heavenly pills pavilion, I will drop off the resources to you every month. These were the clan's orders. If you need anything, tell me and I will try to get it for you. Inside the bag you will find, 5 100% pure body refinement pills. One body reforging elixir that is many times more powerful than body refinement pills. Three 100% pure body purifying pills. These pills remove impurities from the body making it easier to cultivate and remove blockages for spiritual energy and essence energy in the body. 15 low-grade essence crystals. Finally, you will find a skill book called 'waterfall'. It's a very basic sword skill that will help you understand some of the basics of swordsmanship. You may leave now. You should buy a grade one sword and armour. You may not be able to use them effectively yet but why could still be useful."

Sej quickly picked up on the fact that she was not exactly happy with him for staring at her. So before leaving he apologised awkwardly for his behaviour.

"I am sorry if I made you uncomfortable, thank you for all your help and I hope we can get along better in the future. He bowed and then quickly left" Seeing the sincerity in his eyes, Emily felt kind of bad for treating him coldly but quickly forgot about it and got back to work.

Upon leaving Sej was relieved from leaving the awkward situation. He quickly came to the first floor of the pavilion and brought some medicine for cuts and bruises, as well as restoration. He finally brought a small bottle of healing elixir for three essence crystals that could heal heavier injuries just in case he got seriously wounded. Leaving the store Sej found himself on the main street on the west side of the city. He made his way to a nearby store that sold low-grade weapons and armours.

Grade one weapons and armours were not a rare commodity it was very common and the vast majority of cultivators had at least one or two at the early stages of cultivation. Sej found a basic grade one sword that had the water attribute as the skill he got was water-based and brought it for 5 Essence crystals. He then found a light body armour for another 8 essence crystals. With the one crystal, he had before, he just about had enough but was now broke.

The sword he brought was a shortsword, that. As he was young, and his arms were small, the sword still appeared large in his hands, it had a light blue handle and was quite sharp. The armour, on the other hand, was shaped like a bulletproof vest but was made of light metal and used straps at the shoulder area and waste to keep it in place.

Returning home, Sej did not try to cultivate as he knew the likelihood of breaking through again so soon was not likely. Instead, he started to practice his new sword skill. Two days quickly passed and it was now morning. Cara, Sam, Henry and sej were just about to set off on their first adventure to the Darkjade forest. Excitement filled the air.
