Byakuya Kuchiki

"So I get a chance to reincarnate into a world of my choice and even get another wish?", the soul asks. This soul is our main character. He has just gotten the full isekai package and is currently talking with whatever this being is that offered him another chance.

The Soul has always been a fan of anime and manga. He loves it and it is his hobby. But now he gets a chance to actually be in one of these worlds he loves so much.

{Indeed, you get the chance to reincarnate in a world of your choosing. But you don't get a powerful wish. You have to keep it simple.}

"I see. Do I get reincarnated as an existing character or will I be a new one?"

{That is your choice}

"Ok. Then I would like to be reincarnated as Byakuya Kuchiki in the world of Bleach, please.", the soul says.

{Acceptable. You may state your wish}

.

The soul had to think about this. He loved both One Piece and Bleach. They were his favorite. So the choice to go to Bleach was a hard one. Unlike others, he enjoyed Byakuya's character in the manga. He might appear like an idiot or an asshole, but the soul knew that the responsibility Byakuya carried wasn't an easy one. But he got better after the Soul Society Arc.

"I would like to get a template ... if possible."

{Yes and who's template would you like?}

"I would like to get Dracule Mihawk's template ..."

{Taht's it? I thought you would ask for a much more powerful character}

"Oh, so then it works?"

{It does work ... theoretically. But then we have another problem. You still have quite a bit of energy left that you could use for wishes. That won't work.}

"Then ... what should I do? Should I pick another template?"

{No. You're reasonable and I didn't expect a reasonable soul to appear here. The easiest way is for you to get another template.}

"Oh? And which one?"

{It will be a surprise. I bid you farewell young soul. Enjoy the experience.}

"Thank you very much."

(3rd Person POV)

In the Kuchiki clan, two men were waiting in front of the bedroom. These were Sōjun Kuchiki, the husband of the woman who was screaming right now and his father Ginrei Kuchiki, the current 26th head of the Kuchiki clan. Sōjun was pacing back and forth in front of the room. He was nervous. But he wasn't the only one, Ginrei was also worried. But unlike his son, he knew how to keep his cool and rational thinking.

Sōjun knew how weak his wife was right now. She shouldn't have been giving birth right now. He could only hope that she would at least survive, that's all he asked for. But the pained screams from inside the room weren't reassuring. Sweat poured down his head and his nervousness was seemingly reaching unprecedented heights, when his father's voice was heard.

"Calm down Sōjun. Remember that you're a Kuchiki. No matter what you do now, everything is already determined. So calm down and act like a Kuchiki."

"I ... I ... I'm trying... father. It's just that-"

"I know. Breathe Sōjun. Breathe and calm down. Believe in your wife, she will do what she can to give birth to your son, so you should also do your best."

"I ... understand Father."

.

After 8 hours, the cry of a baby was heard and both Sōjun and Ginrei rose to see their son and grandson respectively. Sōjun was nervous. He hoped that his wife was alright. But ... it didn't sound very good if the voices were to be trusted.

After 15 minutes ... the Kaido practitioner of the Kuchiki clan walked out of the room with a baby in her hands. She had a solemn look on her face. That look told the father and grandfather pair all that they needed to know. It seemed that Sōjun's wife, the mother of their son ... hadn't made it.

"Your wife gave birth to a healthy son, Sōjun-sama. But I'm afraid to tell you that your wife ... she didn't make it. I am deeply sorry about this, Sōjun-sama, Ginrei-sama. Please accept my deepest condolences.", the woman said and then bowed.

"It's alright ... you did your best.", Sōjun said with a weak voice. He took the boy in his arms and was about to walk into the room when the nurse said another thing to him.

"Lady Kuchiki gave him the name ... Byakuya."

"I see ... thank you.", Sōjun said and then walked into the room.

.

Ginrei watched his son hold his child and cry at his wife's bed. He was as sad as he was when he lost Sōjun's mother. But now wasn't the time to cry. Now it was time to get things in order first and only then ... could he shed some tears.

Ginrei helped Sōjun back to his feet after his wife died. He was the future clan head of the Kuchiki clan. So it was necessary for him to have his emotions under control. Sōjun spent a lot of time with Byakuya. He always smiled when he saw him and was so happy about any form of progress that Byakuya showed.

Also, the stern Ginrei had gotten enamoured by the small Byakuya Kuchiki. He was so cute. It was funny to Ginrei to see such a serene but also curious and happy look on the boy's face. He was sure that he would become a strong Shinigami in the future. The amount of Reiatsu he could feel from Byakuya was already as high as a seated officer ... and that was a few months after being born.

Byakuya had an intelligence that he showed in his gaze that wasn't usual for a newborn. Ginrei saw it, but Sōjun never paid attention to that. He was just happy that he had something that the love between him and his late wife had produced. Ginrei was happy with his grandson and allowed this small weakness in his son. He was the same when he was that age.

(Byakuya POV)

I have really been transmigrated into the body of Byakuya Kuchiki. I can't believe that it was all real. I mean I know it is but ... it's just unreal. I mean imagine getting this chance. I saw my father and what I assumed was my grandfather. I knew these two. One was my grandfather, Ginrei Kuchiki, the current 26th head of the Kuchiki clan. The other was my father the 'potential' 27th head of the Kuchiki clan.

I am very sleepy right now. I feel like I just ran a marathon and can't stop my eyes from closing ...

.

(1 month later)

So it's been one month and I can finally stay awake longer than just a few minutes. That was a drag I tell you. I have now time to go over some of the things I was granted.

#1 Byakuya Kuchiki

As Byakuya, I naturally had high Reiryoku reserves now. Byakuya was a very fast Shinigami. His speed was not as fast as Yoruichi but he wasn't that far off. He was a master swordsman and hand-to-hand combatant. And with the fact that I was now a Kuchiki meant that I also had a lot of possibilities to learn new things.

Byakuya was a powerful Kido user as well. So all in all, I was very well off. I already had ideas on how to make my Zanpakuto's abilities more powerful and how to use my powers better and in different ways.

#2 Dracule Mihawk

Dracule Mihawk was an extraordinary Master Swordsman. He was the strongest swordsman in all of One Piece. He had enhanced eyesight and his strength was high enough to keep up with Shanks. Although I don't know whether he is still as powerful as Shanks, now that Shanks is an Emperor.

But something pleasantly surprised me. Dracule Mihawk ... had ALL types of Haki. Also Haoshoku Haki. That was good news and it also made sense. If your dream was to become the strongest swordsman in the world of One Piece, you had to have a powerful will. And for him to have Haoshoku, who clashed with Shanks and even called him his rival ...

Mihawk also has something called analytical prediction. He is capable of sensing the "Breath" of all things, allowing him to know the trajectory of something's movements before it happens as well as its location despite not being visible to him.

By doing so he can determine the speed, power and angle of where he should cut, allowing him to cut objects he wouldn't be able to with strength alone. Apart from that, Mihawk had enormous physical strength. His Haki was very powerful and I could feel my mind getting stronger each day.

.

Now we come to the last and final template I was gifted by the being. And I have to say that I am very surprised about this one. But it fits perfectly.

#3 Flashy Flash

That's right. I was gifted the template of Flashy Flash from One Punch Man. The man was a beast. He underwent extreme martial arts training both in armed and unarmed combat and was able to keep up with a martial arts master like Post-Sage-Centipede Garou. His speed is his greatest strength though. He has shown speeds that are way faster than light and he could run on water and up walls without problem.

His powerful senses were slowly but surely integrating with me ... I thought. I'm sure that with the power of these three powerful characters, I was bound to become a great fighter and Shinigami. I do wonder how my Reiatsu reacts to this though. Will it increase or not? Will my strength be increased as well? Or will I just get the character's techniques?

Because I was now a Shinigami and that was considered a soul ... well I would wait to see what happens.

.

Now let's talk about some of my plans. I wanted to become a Shinigami. I knew of the dangers that Soul Society and Bleach in general held. And if we look at the big enemies in the story, I'm going to have to really put in the work to keep up.

One was Sosuke Aizen, who had the power of complete Hypnosis. This was already a very dangerous and scary ability but that wasn't all. Aizen in the Arrancar Arc, before he fused with the Hogyoku had double the Reiatsu of a normal Captain. That was a lot. And we saw in the story that Reiatsu was an important part of a Shinigami's strength.

So we had Complete Hypnosis, massive Reiatsu, master swordsman, master hand-to-hand combatant and master Kido practitioner. And to top it all off, he was a genius as well. I had to be careful around him and his lackey, the snake. But I would take care of that when the time came.

.

The other big antagonist of the story is Yhwach, the Quincy King and son of the Soul King. His hax was so great that the author literally had to invent a plot device to even give Ichigo a chance to kill him. And luckily that plot device could stop all of Yhwach's hax for a very brief time.

He was immortal, could see the future, could change the future, could make your powers take your side, could absorb your powers, could give away parts of his soul to make others more powerful and then take this piece back, making him stronger ... He was a one-man army ... literally.

But I would be ready. I would prepare and make sure that I was powerful enough to win against him. Even if I had to do the obvious and take ... the Hogyoku for myself. I didn't like this premise in a Bleach story but it was just that good.

The Hogyoku turned Aizen from dominating most of the Gotei 13 Captains to destroying parts of the Soul King with his Reiatsu alone. Yeah, it was powerful and he might get it. He wasn't sure yet.

But now ... let's sleep.

Tell me your thoughts and what he could do.
