Chapter 96: Fancy Dinner for Two

She watched the tall city buildings pass by as he shifted with ease, taking corners sharply and stopping at red lights. "You always surprise me."

"I try." Carter smirked and weaved through traffic, parking outside of his gorgeous building. Not that the rest weren't equally gorgeous, but this one was outstanding.

"Carter." Ariana looked up at the gold lettering on the windows and the gorgeous molding.

"C'mon." Carter warmly smiled as he led her into the restaurant.

She sighed as he draped her hand over his bent arm, walking up to the front desk.

"Name, please?" The man standing at a podium spoke with a refined taste.

"Table for two under Carter." Carter smiled and the man nodded.

"Right this way." The man led them through the building and to an elevator.

"Carter?" Ariana peered up to look at him and he placed his fingers on her lips.

"Just wait." Carter warmly smiled and she relaxed beside him.
