Chapter 48: Bookshop

"I'm so tired." Ariana sighed beside him and he warmly smiled, as he pulled her against himself.

"I'm sorry, princess. Do you want to just stay in and relax?" Carter kissed the top of her head.

"No, I wanna go explore with you." Ariana peered up at him and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I want to see it all."

Carter chuckled and she let go as the doors opened so that no one in the lobby knew. They walked out of the hotel and got into their rental car. He drove down the street and around the corner, parking in front of a small bookshop.

"What is this?" Ariana gasped, as she stared at the older shop that had scripted lettering and books stacked on display in the windows.

"A bookshop." Carter warmly smiled and opened the door for her.

"A bookshop?" Ariana was confused as she walked inside and took in the shelves of books.
