Chapter 19: Spoiling You Part 1

Carter sat there for a moment, running his fingers through his hair. He didn't know what to tell her or what to say. A huge part of him had never thought he would have to talk about this woman ever again. He had never wanted to bring her up or even think about her.

Carter swallowed hard and took a deep breath before he opened his mouth to speak. "I met her at a publicity party that my father was putting on. She was a model there and I had seen her a handful of times in passing."

Ariana watched him as he became uncomfortable. He placed his folded arms in his lap as he peered down at his left knee, not meeting her concerned gaze.

"She was gorgeous and totally out of my league. I mean absolutely stunning." Carter sighed and ran his hand through his hair again. "My father thought it would be a great idea to have us do a photoshoot together. So, Adalee set it up."
