WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING?

Everyone was stupefied. Silence enveloped in the hallway.

How can that be possible?

Felix was an orphan.

Nolan was the first to break the silence, "Are you kidding Leo? He was an orphan. Don't tell me he hide it from us and lied about the whole thing."

Nolan was not serious with his last sentence. But the look on Leo's face was grim.

"Maybe...he lied." Leo carefully glanced at Jennifer, who seemed to be in a deep thought.

"Show me the result Leo."

"This way Jenny" everyone followed Leo to the second floor.

The house painted in blue-white colour was not as ordinary as it seemed. The hallway was around 500 metre long and had elevators which directly were connected to the specific rooms. They were well secured and thus there were no stairs.

"Are you not going to University Jen?"

"No, I have already told Ava and asked her to apply a leave for me today."

All of them entered the third elevator from the left, it ascended to the second floor.

The door opened, a small laboratory with a round table along with chairs came into view.

The curtains were drawn closed, a transparent file laid on the table. Leo passed the file to Jennifer and by then everyone was already sitting on the chairs.

Jennifer went through the files. Everyone was curious about the information in there. Jennifer's face was devoid of any expression, thus they could only wait till she finished going through it.

After she read the line which confirmed them having sibling relationship, she closed the file and soothed her throbbing temple.

"The report states that he had a brother." Jennifer broke the silence and calmly faced everyone present. She could see their shocked expressions.

"The video which we saw clearly showed us how they reacted when they met. So it is possible that they are real siblings." Jennifer further explained.

"Do you think that he betrayed us Jennifer?" Nolan asked. He clearly knew when to flirt and when to be serious. As a detective he was very serious with his job.

"No, he did not. I will not elaborate further, but I do not want any of you to misunderstand him."

"Okay" came a response all together.

"I want everyone to go and do their tasks which I had asked you to submit me this month end. I will solely handle this case. You can all go now. Jason I wish to talk with you."

All were confused with her statement, but with no further questions they made their way out of the house.

"What are you planning?" Jason was also confused with her. She never had left a case pending and would surely dig down till the end, but this case seemed different.

"It must be true that he hid the truth from us, but he may have his own reasons. During the video gave me a warning through hand signs. He clearly knew that the one who wanted to kill me is someone different, not the one we just killed yesterday. It is a mysterious person who had assigned various groups to assassinate me. He wants me alive."

"Who could it be Jen?"

"I have no idea now but I think Felix tried to tell me more about that person. I will have to see the video again to confirm that person's identity. I have already called Alissa and have asked her to hack the system of the group who killed Felix. The computers were destroyed but were connected to some other computers, and the data can still be recovered. She will let me know tomorrow, so please meet me at my home, we will discuss this later then. I have to go to a party with Ava today so I will be going now."

"Be careful Jen. Make sure to hide yourself well and do not get drunk today, you know what will happen otherwise."

"Yes, I know."
