The Secret Of The Beauty In Black

After that fateful night, everything changed for Jennifer. Gone was the girl who used to smile and laugh along with others, cry in their pain and help them in their need. What remained was only an emotionless vessel who just had one aim in her life: Revenge. -- "No one can control me anymore!! I will live my life as per my wish." She said with hatred in her voice.  .... "Heh...Love is what? The best thing that happened to you?? Tsk..tsk..such a fool. Remember, love is just another name of destruction. The ones who believe in love are all fools. I was also one of them, but not now. I will never fall in love again. Also, don't come crying to me once you face a betrayal." .... "What will it take for you to accept me?"  Jennifer looked at the man as if he had grown two heads!! "Mister I have told this earlier too, I don't want to get into a relationship, so why not stop chasing after me?" .... "Please tell me what should I do to make you mine?" The man pleaded. Annoyed by his questions about the same thing again and again, Jennifer finally replied, "If you can defeat me in a fight, I will think about it."  She was quite confident that no one could defeat her. ------   "You lost...." "No, this can't be true right," murmured Jennifer. She was totally confused and shocked. Never did she think that 'he' would be able to defeat her.  "So what do you want?" She asked with confusion laced in her voice. "Are you sure you will fulfil my wish?" He smiled much to her displeasure. "Yes, I never back down on my words." She spoke back with gritted teeth, showing her displeasure, even though she knew this decision of hers might lead her into something complex. "Marry Me," He demanded. "Wait what?!! But you are gay right?" This was her immediate response to his demand. Who in their sane mind would want to marry a gay? That too with the man with whom she was previously in a fake relationship. He chuckled and slowly bent down near her ear "You will know when you will marry me" he whispered. "You..." ---- Torn between the battle of her brain and heart, Jennifer doesn't know what she should choose?  Should she listen to her brain which was constantly signalling her of the alert or should she follow her heart, which would pound erratically for some handsome 'devil'? Because of her traumatic past, Jennifer had sworn never to fall in love again. To never let her heart skip a beat again for someone. But she fails, terribly; when a certain dashing devil enters into her dark world. Will this devilishly handsome man break the walls of her heart?  Will he be able to help her past her traumas and her insecurities? .... But wait! Who the hell is this man? Well...for that stay tuned and continue to read the story!! *It's a slow burn book, hope you enjoy it. RELUCTANT TO JUMP THROUGH THE DOOR

Jennifer looked at the people who were looking back at her as though she was here to eat them alive.

Did she look scary?

She didn't think so.

"Are you afraid of jumping through the door?" Jennifer's voice turned cold.

The others flinched at her voice, but timidly nodded.

Who wouldn't be afraid of doing so?

Even though Jennifer was able to jump through the fire unscathed and was able to do such a stunt, that didn't mean that she was born with this talent.

When she was just twelve she was made to dive in an ocean. And what was more horrifying was that it was her first time. She had not learnt swimming at that time.

A small girl, who was barely twelve had to jump in the ocean without any life jacket. Though there were trained swimmers to save her in case she drowned, but for a girl who had not even reached puberty, it was a difficult task. She wasn't even showed how to dive. This was how she had learned to swim. She herself knew how it felt when the salty water made it's way in her nose and mouth.

So Jennifer was loosing her patience, when she saw that everyone was reluctant to jump through the door.

The fire had reduced a lot, hence the maximum damage would be that they would get a burn.

But wasn't that better than dying?

"Those who want to live can jump through the door. Otherwise you can die here." Jennifer didn't look back and started to make her way towards the door.

Actually it wasn't their fault, as Travis pacified them by saying that his boss would save them. And looking at the situation, he was sure that Emmett would call for helicopters.

It was a human nature to choose the simplest way. If given a choice to choose one way to go to heaven, either by experiencing hell first or by waiting for the heaven to come itself. A human would always choose the later.

Death can't be controlled. Everyone knows that one cannot avoid death. But life can be spent in various ways.

For some, good life would be helping others, even when you would suffer a little. Happiness can be obtained in this way. Whereas for other good life can be living rich and dying rich. Caring for only themselves.

It would usually depend on us, which path we should choose. And as per the human nature, they would ultimately choose the second.

It was the same case for the fifty members who were stuck in the fire. They were told that they would be saved. They now had two options, either to follow Jennifer or to wait for Emmett's helicopters to arrive.

When they saw Jennifer walking towards the door, they dumbly stared at each other. Those who didn't want to go through a risk, stood on the spot. And a very few decided to take a risk.

What if the helicopters didn't arrive?

They didn't want to die.

So eleven people, consisting of the Principal, the Professors, Ava and few students followed Jennifer.

Jennifer already predicted this. No one would want to jump through fire.

But she knew that it was safe if they jump out now. The fire was reaching the net and no one could predict when the net would fall down, burning the whole terrace.

Jennifer knew that many would stay in their places and she wanted the same. If she would now had told them about the fire reaching the net, all would have run towards the door and it would have been difficult to send each one out with such a crowd.

When the remaining ones would see the other eleven passing through the door, some would follow the them and Jennifer would tell the remaining ones about the net. Hence all could be saved.

So here we go.

The author is finally back. I would not be going anywhere soon.

So there would be updates daily.

Yoo! And I have also finished a total of 100 chapters.
