The Secret Of The Beauty In Black

After that fateful night, everything changed for Jennifer. Gone was the girl who used to smile and laugh along with others, cry in their pain and help them in their need. What remained was only an emotionless vessel who just had one aim in her life: Revenge. -- "No one can control me anymore!! I will live my life as per my wish." She said with hatred in her voice.  .... "Heh...Love is what? The best thing that happened to you?? Tsk..tsk..such a fool. Remember, love is just another name of destruction. The ones who believe in love are all fools. I was also one of them, but not now. I will never fall in love again. Also, don't come crying to me once you face a betrayal." .... "What will it take for you to accept me?"  Jennifer looked at the man as if he had grown two heads!! "Mister I have told this earlier too, I don't want to get into a relationship, so why not stop chasing after me?" .... "Please tell me what should I do to make you mine?" The man pleaded. Annoyed by his questions about the same thing again and again, Jennifer finally replied, "If you can defeat me in a fight, I will think about it."  She was quite confident that no one could defeat her. ------   "You lost...." "No, this can't be true right," murmured Jennifer. She was totally confused and shocked. Never did she think that 'he' would be able to defeat her.  "So what do you want?" She asked with confusion laced in her voice. "Are you sure you will fulfil my wish?" He smiled much to her displeasure. "Yes, I never back down on my words." She spoke back with gritted teeth, showing her displeasure, even though she knew this decision of hers might lead her into something complex. "Marry Me," He demanded. "Wait what?!! But you are gay right?" This was her immediate response to his demand. Who in their sane mind would want to marry a gay? That too with the man with whom she was previously in a fake relationship. He chuckled and slowly bent down near her ear "You will know when you will marry me" he whispered. "You..." ---- Torn between the battle of her brain and heart, Jennifer doesn't know what she should choose?  Should she listen to her brain which was constantly signalling her of the alert or should she follow her heart, which would pound erratically for some handsome 'devil'? Because of her traumatic past, Jennifer had sworn never to fall in love again. To never let her heart skip a beat again for someone. But she fails, terribly; when a certain dashing devil enters into her dark world. Will this devilishly handsome man break the walls of her heart?  Will he be able to help her past her traumas and her insecurities? .... But wait! Who the hell is this man? Well...for that stay tuned and continue to read the story!! *It's a slow burn book, hope you enjoy it. HIS ETHEREAL FEATURES, COUPLED WITH....

Everyone was in their respective rooms, either in groups of two, three or four. Jennifer and Ava kept chatting in their room.

At noon, there was a big commotion in the entrance of the hotel.

Several big cars came to a halt in front of the entrance. The cars door opened and many men in black rushed out and gathered in a line on both sides of the entrance door.

Among the cars was a Porsche Cayenne. The door opened and an exquisite looking leather shows showed up. A man descended down the car while arranging his suit. The man was in his twenties. His ethereal features, coupled with his elegant aura, especially when he smiled, all revealed his aristocratic temperament, which had hints of kingly arrogance.

This kingly aura, which his appearance embellished, seemed to belong naturally to the ruler of the world!

Coldness, arrogance and evilness- his lips had a hint of frivolousness, yet his sharp eyes occasionally revealed hints of aggressiveness.

Hearing the commission, Jennifer along with Ava came out of their room. It was due to Ava's curiosity that she dragged Jennifer along with her out of the room, straight to the elevator and down to the 1st floor.

When the devilish man walked in through the hotel entrance, his distinct features were more visible.

Ava was in awe, that she forgot to see the changing expressions on Jennifer's face.

Upon seeing the man's face, Jennifer froze. She panicked, clutched the elevator door's handle firmly, which resulted in a cracking sound. But gradually her face changed from panicked to frighteningly cold.

Her gaze darkened and a malicious glint appeared in her beautiful blue eyes.

After admiring the man, Ava turned to look at Jennifer and was terrified by her chilling gaze. She shuddered, blinked, closed her eyes and opened them to see, a puzzled looking Jennifer who stared at her.

Did she just hallucinate?

Yes, she must be hallucinating.

Why did her friend look this frightening?

"Why are you looking at me like that Ava? Do I look that horrible and terrifying?" Jennifer asked in a low voice.

Ava thought that she must have hurt Jennifer's feelings. She quickly tried to explain, "Ah, I think that the man looks scary. I was just frightened by his aura."

Jennifer did not expose her lie, because she herself knew that her expression few moments earlier was too murderous.

"I think so too, lets go back in the room Ava. We should rest for a while."

The man heard a little familiar voice and hence turned in the direction of the voice, to see nothing but a elevator door closing slowly.

He narrowed his eyes at the closed door, but continued walking.

Inside the room,

"By the way Alissa, don't you think that my brother is more good looking than that man?"

Ava was again trying to fawn over her brother.

She did not waste a moment, where she would try to encourage Jennifer to date her brother.

'The devil is much more better looking than that man.' Jennifer agreed to this thing in her mind.

"Ava why don't you rest first. We have to gather at 4pm in the lobby. You will have to work hard later. I am going to shower now."

Jennifer ignored her earlier question and without waiting for her reply, strode towards the bathroom door.

Ava pouted and sat on the bed, disappointed.

'Why is it so hard to change Alissa's mind? Has my brother lost his charm? I don't think so.' Ava wondered if she would be able to make Jennifer agree to date Emmett in the future.

After walking into the bathroom, Jennifer calmly stared at herself in the mirror.

Her gaze was piercing and murderous. If looks could kill, then every person who would see her now, would be dead.

Jennifer frowned, "I have to be careful now. Just one year more and I will be able to get my revenge."

The man's face, whom she had seen at the hotel's entrance resurfaced her find.

'If that man's brother is here, then that means he is here somewhere.'
